Good evening everyone! Hope you are finding the start of your weekend well. To get it kicked off why not enjoy some artists you might not have heard of. I'm sure you won't be disappointed!
As usual, these posts are in similar style to the Tumblr Spotlights, a group of 3-5 artists will be spotlit each entry along with a small short description along with a small selection of their artwork! In order to make this feature work though we need people to suggest artists to us so make sure to send artists you think need some exposure to calpain@equestriadaily.com. Please also include a short biography I can work with as well as what medium you work in most.
What sort of artists count? Suggestions should follow these criteria:
- No clop or extensive gore galleries as those typically violate our content guidelines. If the artist has a safe for work gallery separate from their not safe for work stuff they or their fans can submit the safe for work gallery. If there is a mix of SFW/NSFW on a gallery the decision whether or not to include them will be judged on a gallery to gallery basis.
- Don't be afraid to spotlight yourself as well as others!
- Artists of all types accepted -vector, OC, traditional, digital. As long as it is pony and of quality it has a chance of being spotlit.
Now on to the artists!

Fleebites
I'm really happy to introduce today's first artist! I am a huge fan of traditional as you all know and this artist made me a fan at first glance. Fleebites might not seem like a name that grabs your attention, but as soon as you see their beautiful paintings you'll simply fall in love. With an abstract style combined with brilliant color work, Fleebites' pictures are full of life and energy. Just take a look!
DuskyAmore
Next up we dive back into the digital realm where we meet a rather new, but very promising artist! DuskyAmore uses a very clean cut line style complete with beautiful coloring, shading, and backgrounds to bring scenes to life. With poses that complement their work you can find anything from a serene scene to an exciting boast in her gallery.
SparklyAxolotl
Now that we've had both a traditional and digital artist why not an artist that uses both to make her pieces? Sparkly has been in my queue for awhile and has matured a lot as an artist, keeping at it since I got her email earlier this year. Since then her traditional drawing and digital coloring has improved greatly and I look forward to seeing what she has to offer in the future!
ShinyLuminous
Last on our art journey today is an artist that does digital artwork, but due to their style you'd swear at first glance they were purely traditional. With great care and blending of colors, Shiny brings us some incredibly detailed pieces, her portraits being especially impressive. But even when she completes a full piece, background and all, you can still see that attention to detail and coloring. Give her a look!
