With the hiatus still barreling before us for another few months, there are a few options to keep involved with ponyland out there. The MLP CCG has been trucking along with multiple expansions and tournaments all over the world, but quite a few either first time CCG players or casual folks are still a bit intimidated by the rules. We now have a quick access guide to getting into it, with step by step instructions for your first game, along with bullet points for every type of card.

Onlyfactory may have banned pony plushies from their fan recommendation store, but China is a persistent beastie, and the plushies are being pumped onto ebay regardless. I don't know who asked for Snips here, but he's totally a thing. Honestly if you turned him white he'd make a good ponified version of that snow man from Frozen I forgot the name of.
Expect to see these appear on eBay, seedy websites and random convention vendors in the future!

Another round of "Brand everything with ponies!" I have no idea what that thing up above actually is, but it's glowy and I've always been a sucker for glowy. When I was a kid, I always had grand plans to completely cover my room in glow in the dark stuff, but never got around to it. If I ever become a millionaire, I'll have to do that at some point. Right next to my Lego room.
Anyway, it's random merch time! The thingy above was found at Toys R' Us in Canada by Ryan, and everything else is below the break!

Way back in the early days of the fandom, we had very little to choose from in terms of pony merchandise. Celestia was that glorious pink color you see above in pretty much every variation, and what we know of as blindbag figures today, were going for ridiculous sums of money in singles on ebay.
Now days, it's not nearly as big a deal. A Funko figure with it's black box and Hot Topic style look is much less stigmatized than a hot pink box straight from the girls isle at Walmart. Ponies have transitioned from the realm of "It's for my sister" to "I'm a geek and like Daring Do" over the last few years, and many of us are probably happy about that.
So, citizens of Equestria Daily and the pony world, I ask of you your stories. What was the first piece of pony merchandise you bought? Was it awkward at all picking it up in store? Or did you order it online to avoid any weird glances?

The Super Smash Ponies team planned for an alpha release of the game on the first of January, but a small bug in the Unreal Engine has forced them to delay it for a few weeks at least. The team over at Unreal is aware of the issue, and will have a fix out hopefully soon.
