Nightly Roundup #966
by Calpain
I feel like Big Mac right now, all tired and just plain sleepy. With my cold at an end I look forward to finally getting some good sleep.
Time for the news guys! Check it out after the break.

Lets skip the usual stuff tonight. We need to discuss a super important FANDOM SUNDERING issue here. Yes, it's that important. Good citizens of Equestria Daily and pony as a whole. Friends of cartoon equines everywhere, and devourers of geek culture with all of the wonderful things that go along with that. I come to you with a question, and do try to be as honest as possible:
Would you watch a My Little Pony/Star Wars crossover series? As in, ponies in space, not Twilight Sparkle teams up with Luke Skywalker for the usual Star Wars story. That's just lame. I'm talking their own unique Star Wars style universe here, with Sith Lord (insert pony here) doing all sorts of nasty stuff against Jedi (insert pony here). No not in that way. This isn't an HBO 3:00 AM post.
Indeed, it seems that adding light sabers and mysterious cloaks to just about anything could make it go from "kinda cool" to "HOLY CELESTIA COMBINING 3 BLACK HOLES AND A NEUTRON STAR THIS IS AWESOME". Just look at this cat video for an example. How many of you would be all over ponies joining the world of Star Wars crossovers?!

Story: Just Like Her
by Calpain
[Slice of Life]
Author: Bad_Seed_72
Description: Ever since the Sisterhooves Social, Sweetie Belle and Rarity's relationship has improved drastically. There are still days when Rarity is a bit busy, of course, and certain times when Sweetie doesn't quite get the hint. During one particularly stressful day, Sweetie Belle gets into Rarity's makeup. Rarity demands an explanation. The answer isn't quite as simple as one sister playing dress-up.

Poll Results: Which is your favorite season based on it's normal, non finale or arc episodes?
by Sethisto
Looks like season 4 took this one, but not without an epic battle with season 2 for the majority of the polling period. I can see why so many people loved the second. That was probably the largest point of growth for the pony fandom as a whole. That haitus between the first and second literally quintupled how many people out there were watching the show. It seems like a lot of the newer crowd people aren't nearly as prolific on the fanbase side of things.
ANYWAY, nostalgia goggles off. We have another poll! EQD needs to analyze it's music section, and you are going to help! Hit it up on the side bar.

The MLP CCG Twitter page has revealed a bunch of new cards from the upcoming Canterlot Nights set. We have a bit of Chrysalis, Dj Pon-3, Big MAc, Foggy Fleece, and Element of Magic to hold you over. Time to analyze these guys and think of some new combos I think?
Thanks to Mr. offspring and Isseus for sending them!

We totally missed Star Wars day yesterday. This is an absolute outrage and I feel like I have failed all of you. In response to that, have some Jedi Luna as a header. That's like a golden pizza cutter if you love pizza, and Luna... or something. Yeah that didn't work at all.
Get some art.

Taking Care of Animals (New Part 10!)
Howdy there.
Name's Applejack, and I like to consider myself a simple mare. I had a job on a rock farm, and before that, I was a simple dress-maker. I ain't bein' humble, but those days, nothin' too out of the ordinary really happened to me.
Then I met Earth Pony. She came out of the blue, but she was the sort of pony who could drag you along on anythin'. Lucky for me, I wanted to go, least at first. After that... well, I'll let you read those parts.

Episodes are available on iTunes in High Definition for $2.99 and Standard Definition for $1.99. You also have the option to buy the second half of Season 4 which includes Episodes 14-26 for $24.99. On Google Play, you can purchase Season 4, Volume 2 for $19.99 or individual episodes in High Definition for $1.99.
Additionally, you can watch S4E24 "Equestria Games" and the rest of Season 4 for free for a limited time on HubNetwork.com.
Note: As of this writing, the iTunes version of the episode is currently experiencing a problem where the episode resolution is cropped resulting in it looking weird. We've already notified Apple support and they are working on it. -
Story: Here Comes the Rain Again
by Calpain
[Adventure]
Author: A Hoof-ful of Dust
Description:
Her coronation over, Twilight has some doubts about stepping into the horseshoes of a princess. Her ability will be tested when she wakes to an Equestria blanketed in endless night, devoid of ponies and covered in an endless hostile forest.
Author's note: This story was written primarily before the conclusion of Season 3, so any themes similar to the Season 4 opener are quite coincidental.

A new program dedicated to helping kids with cancer feel better about losing their hair has signed on Equestria Girls as one of the cartoons in the campaign. Right now you can collect posters of Twilight, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie Pie with no hair at all. Downloads are over at the main website.
And below the break, a video showcasing exactly what is going on with it. Thanks to Roy for the tip!
