Welcome again to another edition of the Artist Spotlight! Today's spotlight is a little special as it is made up completely of artists from deep in the backlog and have stuck with pony since! As such they have vastly improved since their initial emails and I'm proud to be able to showcase them today!
As usual, these posts are in similar style to the Tumblr Spotlights, a group of 3-5 artists will be spotlit each entry along with a small short description along with a small selection of their artwork! In order to make this feature work though we need people to suggest artists to us so make sure to send artists you think need some exposure to calpain@equestriadaily.com. Please also include a short biography I can work with as well as what medium you work in most.
What sort of artists count? Suggestions should follow these criteria:
- No clop or extensive gore galleries as those typically violate our content guidelines. If the artist has a safe for work gallery separate from their not safe for work stuff they or their fans can submit the safe for work gallery. If there is a mix of SFW/NSFW on a gallery the decision whether or not to include them will be judged on a gallery to gallery basis.
- Don't be afraid to spotlight yourself as well as others!
- Artists of all types accepted -vector, OC, traditional, digital. As long as it is pony and of quality it has a chance of being spotlit.
Now on to the artists!

TheDiscorded
First up on our tour today is TheDiscorded, an artist who continues to strive to improve and who you might have seen in the ATG recently! Utilizing a cartoony style, his pieces usually have a hint of comedy and cuteness, but that certainly doesn't prevent him from taking on a serious tone as some of the pics in his gallery demonstrate! Further more, he isn't afraid to extend past just simple pony pictures as he has experience not only drawing deer ponies but comics as well!

KitsuneHiro
While TheDiscorded offered a cuter style, our next artist loves to turn the cool factor of her pics up to 11. KitsuneHiro is a digital artist with some serious lighting and shading skills when she calls upon them and is quite adept at making the most detailed pics possible to completely changing her style for sillier comics. Did I just mention comcis? Because while a lot of her single pieces have a serious or serene tone, her comics demonstrate her ability to use humor to great effect. No matter what you're looking for you'll find something in her gallery.

Wisdom-Thumb
Last on our list, but certainly not least, is our sole traditional artist for today. Traditional artwork, especially ones done with just pencil, take a lot of knowledge in lighting in order to get the desired effect as well as skill with different pencil hardness! Not to mention the lack of being able to easily undo mistakes in digital artwork. Wisdom shows such skill in a number of amazing pieces, whether they be character pieces or background work. His work tends to the serious side, mainly dealing with the tale of Sword Pony, a pony who has seen his share of death and despair. Check him out!
