I'm slowly starting to catch up with this crazy queue! Still over 100 emails in the stash, but with each one of these we get more and more caught up. At least one of the benefits for taking so long with some of these artists is that they have gotten so much better since their original emails.
As usual, these posts are in similar style to the Tumblr Spotlights, a group of 3-5 artists will be spotlit each entry along with a small short description along with a small selection of their artwork! In order to make this feature work though we need people to suggest artists to us so make sure to send artists you think need some exposure to [email protected]. Please also include a short biography I can work with as well as what medium you work in most.
What sort of artists count? Suggestions should follow these criteria:
- No clop or extensive gore galleries as those typically violate our content guidelines. If the artist has a safe for work gallery separate from their not safe for work stuff they or their fans can submit the safe for work gallery. If there is a mix of SFW/NSFW on a gallery the decision whether or not to include them will be judged on a gallery to gallery basis.
- Don't be afraid to spotlight yourself as well as others!
- Artists of all types accepted -vector, OC, traditional, digital. As long as it is pony and of quality it has a chance of being spotlit.
Now on to the artists!

Saint-Juniper
First up on this edition of the Artist Spotlight is an art whose skill with a digital brush brings to life incredibly complex and beautiful pieces. While taking expert care in her depiction of her ponies, she also puts great effort into her backgrounds and attire as well, creating a piece that is stunning no matter where you look. With such great care taken with her pieces she has done an excellent job with book covers for fanfics for instance, bringing together tons of elements of the story into one single image. If you're an author looking for some cover art, look no further!
WilhelmGottfried
Next up is another digital painter and an artist that is relatively new to dA at least! Wilhelm may do digital painting like Saint-Juniper, but their pieces tend to have a softer more painting like feel in his pieces which really lends itself to happier pony scenes. When he mutes the colors a bit though using the same style he's able to pull off sort of a melancholy feel in some of his pieces. Overall, you're bound to find something you'll like in this small but wonderful gallery.

Wadusher0
Our next artist is one that contacted me a long time ago with a suggestion for another artist while shyly suggesting themselves as well. After digging through my emails I found their message again and was happy to see that they had come a long way since their first drawings they sent me so long ago. Wadusher is a name you might be familiar with if you follow our comics section! Using a really cartoony and bright style, Wadusher makes not only wonderful standalone pieces but pretty dang good comics too. Go check out his gallery below!

DoomSp0rk
DoomSp0rk is very similar to Wadusher in that when they sent in their portfolio for me to look at I put them in the wait and see pile because I did see potential in his work. Now, coming back to him about a year later, I'm glad I gave him some time to grow because he really did blossom into an awesome artist.
Using an airy sort of painting style in most of his pieces, Doom's work really looks a lot like a real painting and can trick you into thinking it might very well be traditional if he didn't say otherwise. But airy isn't his only style, he is able to make quite refined digital pieces and is quite adept at designs such as those found on clothing. Go give him a look!
