• Brony Thank You Fund Seeks Convention Coordinator

    Do you like to attend pony conventions? Would you like to help kids with cancer and other worthy causes? Are you outgoing and good at organization? If so, we may have just the job for you! The Brony Thank You Fund is seeking an individual to supervise convention fundraising activities across the United States (and possibly Canada.) As the Convention Coordinator for the Fund, you would be responsible for working with local conventions to get table space, recruiting ponies to staff the table, working with show staff and talent on special events at conventions, and generally being the face of the Fund on site.

    The primary requirements for the position are:

    - Able to travel 10-15 weekends during the year to conventions across North America, some of which will include Fridays. The fund will reimburse 50% of travel and lodging costs.

    - A friendly, outgoing manner, comfortable approaching strangers for money and able to present a positive attitude at all times

    - Able to organize and motivate volunteers

    Useful background for the position would include:

    - Previous experience in a volunteer organization, especially in a leadership position

    - Previous retail sales experience

    Note that this is an unpaid volunteer position, and no benefits are included (beyond the awesome glow you get from helping others.)
