Midwest Bronyfest 2015 Announces Andrea Libman
Midwest Bronyfest Kansas City is proud to announce our first official guest for 2015! We are welcoming talented and wonderful Andrea Libman!
Andrea is a Leo-nominated actress who has worked as a voice over actor for more than twenty years. She has had roles on numerous animated TV series, including the title role of Madeline in Madeline and the Emmy Award winning series The New Adventures of Madeline, Emmy in DragonTales, young AndrAIa in Reboot, and Cathy in Monster Buster Club. Recently, she’s voiced the characters of Lemon Meringue, Pupcake and Princess Berrykin in Strawberry Shortcake’s Berry Bitty Adventures and best known for her roles of Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Upcoming projects include Maya the Bee and Pac-Man: The Adventure Begins.
Andrea has been nominated for a UBCP/ACTRA Award for her work in the animated series My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. She has been recognized for her roles as Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy in the episode “Filli Vanilli.” The Awards will take place at the Vancouver Playhouse on November 22, 2014.
We are very excited to have Andrea at Midwest Bronyfest Kansas City, and we can’t wait to see you there too! Midwest Bronyfest Kansas City will be happening on May 22nd-24th 2015.

My Little Pony fans gather for the 2nd Annual Running of the Leaves convention.
Denver, October 5, 2014: Teen and adult My Little Pony fans, also known as "Bronies," are getting excited for the 2nd annual Running of the Leaves Convention. Running of the Leaves Con is back after hosting the first successful My Little Pony Convention in Colorado in 2013. Running of the Leaves is going to be held in Denver, Colorado at the Denver North Plaza & Conference Center from October 31st through November 2nd. "This is a convention is child friendly," says Convention Director Joey Crawford, "our event will be geared towards fun for the whole family."
Some of the "mane" events planned for Running of the Leaves include a "Nightmare Night" party on Halloween, a dance party, cosplay costume contests, panels on a variety of topics, stand-up comedy and more! In addition to the fun events and panels, there will also be an Artist's Stable where talented Brony artists can showcase and sell their artwork.
Several popular members of the fandom will be appearing as guests including DJ Odyssey Eurobeat, and Brony cosplayer Lochlan O'Neil. Additionally, there will be performances by Cabaret Otaku and the Dolls of Insanity as the "Elements of Insanity."
At the end of the weekend a 5K race is planned to keep to the Running of the Leaves theme. "We will be unlike any ponycon seen before," stated Crawford enthusiastically. "We can't wait."

Equestria LA Presents The Grand Galloping Gala; Nightmare Nights Masquerade Ball
Equestria LA presents, for one night only, Southern California’s premiere MLP-themed Gala event: the Grand Galloping Gala; Nightmare Nights Masquerade Ball! Join us Friday November 14th at the Knott’s Ballroom in Buena Park, California for a lively night of music, dancing, and masquerade. Doors open at 7 pm. This is a ticketed event and attendance is limited to 200! Presale tickets are available on our Eventbrite page for $20, or at the door for $25. The Gala is a formal-attire event! Dress code will be, at a minimum, a button up shirt and slacks, or a skirt or dress. Family friendly costumes and cosplay are also strongly encouraged! Other amenities such as food and games will be available, as well as a vendor hall.

Announcing The Everfree Northwest 2015 Art Contest
Salutations once again pony fans! Starting today we invite artists from all walks of the visual spectrum to take part in the Everfree Northwest 2015 Art Contest! Show us how talented and creative you are for a chance to win fantastic prizes!
Theme:
You have the option of one (1) of two (2) themes
- Cooperation. Show ponies and/or other races from the world of My Little Pony working together.
How to enter:
Contest submissions may be sent via link or as an attachment to the Everfree Northwest contest email at [email protected] or by sending a personal message to the Everfree Northwest deviantART account with a link to the contest submission. Please include your name (actual and/or fanon) and the name of the contest entry in your submission.
Prizes:
- One (1) Grand Prize Winner - $75 Amazon gift card
- Two (2) Runners Up - $25 Amazon gift card
The winners will be featured on Everfree Northwest’s social media. All entries will be included in a Everfree Northwest deviantART 2015 contest folder.
Duration:
The Everfree Northwest art contest will accept entries from 12:00 am on October 23rd until 11:59 pm PST on November 30th. Contest winners will be announced December 7th, 2014.
Contest Rules:
- Any visual artistic medium may be used, from digital images and sculptures to woodcut and traditional mediums and anything in between.
- Submissions must follow the contest theme in some manner and be relevant to the convention’s My Little Pony theme. Any entries that do not meet this requirement will be ineligible.
- Submissions must be an original work by the artist and have not been released prior to the start of the contest. Entries, once finished, can immediately be published to any location and website the creator wishes.
- Contestants may submit a maximum of two (2) pieces for consideration. If more images are submitted, the submitted will be asked to select which images they wish to enter into the contest. If the submitter cannot be reached in time for judging, the two (2) most recent entries will be used.
- Winners will be selected based on appearance/workmanship, design, use of theme, and creativity/originality.
- Submissions must be sent to either the Everfree Northwest contest email at [email protected] or to Everfree Northwest deviantART account which can be found at everfreenw.deviantart.com.
- Submissions using elements that could reasonably be considered above a PG rating, such as adult activity, intense violence, drugs, sexual imagery, or material that violates the right of a third party will be ineligible for the contest. If you wish to make sure your entry meets these standards, please contact us at [email protected].
- Everfree Northwest’s interpretation and application of all rules and its ruling on contest winners are final.
- While Everfree Northwest volunteers are more than welcome to submit entries to the contest, they are ineligible to win prizes.
- Submitters retain all ownership of the their submissions. By submitting the artist agrees to allow Everfree Northwest to include their artwork on our website, social media, conbook, and/or for use in promotions.
