Bam! I'm starting to get used to this weekly schedule for these things. Good thing too because my poor spotlight folder is still bulging. At least that means more amazing art for you all in the long run, right?
As usual, these posts are in similar style to the Tumblr Spotlights, a group of 3-5 artists will be spotlit each entry along with a small short description along with a small selection of their artwork! In order to make this feature work though we need people to suggest artists to us so make sure to send artists you think need some exposure to calpain@equestriadaily.com. Please also include a short biography I can work with as well as what medium you work in most.
What sort of artists count? Suggestions should follow these criteria:
- No clop or extensive gore galleries as those typically violate our content guidelines. If the artist has a safe for work gallery separate from their not safe for work stuff they or their fans can submit the safe for work gallery. If there is a mix of SFW/NSFW on a gallery the decision whether or not to include them will be judged on a gallery to gallery basis.
- Don't be afraid to spotlight yourself as well as others!
- Artists of all types accepted -vector, OC, traditional, digital. As long as it is pony and of quality it has a chance of being spotlit.
Now on to the artists!

Some artists, whether they are traditional or digital, are impressive because of the sheer amount of things they can coherently pack into a scene. UrbanCowboy knows how to create a scene and make you sit for a minute just taking in everything they put into their pics! On top of that their images are usual exciting and action packed with ponies doing all sorts of things though he is just as skilled at rendering calm moments as well.

Gezibing
While I am a huge fan of traditional artwork, my favorite out of that genre would have to be paintings. So much can go wrong and it seems like an art form that would be hard to cover your mistakes if you make them. But, in the end, the result is so beautiful all the trouble must be worth it. Gezibing is one such artist that specializes in painting, creating beautiful works of any scene you can imagine and with incredible detail I find fascinating with painted works. Beautiful coloration, lighting, and expressions make her works come to life! Check her out!

MykeGreywolf
Next up is not only our first digital artist today, but also a good friend of mine back during my NeoGAF days. Back when I used to stalk the pony thread over there Myke started drawing ponies for the first time in 2011 and has come a long way since then. Starting off emulating the style of the show, Myke has developed his own style over the years consisting of ponies with long slender legs, very visible hooves, and large wings on his pegasi. Mastering lighting, color, and expression Myke is able to make his ponies come to life and put a smile on your face. Well done my friend!

Kalemon
Last up today is another digital artist of a different sort, specializing in darker and more dramatic pieces in comparison to the rest of our artists. Kalemon has a tendency to use grey scale in their artwork, giving many of their works a feeling of doom and gloom which is appropriate for some of the material they draw. Color is usually utilized in instances when they draw a more epic piece of artwork, yet never lets the color palette get too bright. If you're a fan for more gritty and serious pieces you are sure to like Kalemon.
