For those that don't follow the Australian fandom news, a major convention over there recently went belly up less than a week out. Quite a few people were left with flights and hotels reserved that they could not cancel. The industrious bronies in the area decided to salvage what was going to be a massive failure via a impromptu convention going by the name of Salvagecon. ABC over in Australia hopped in and did a report on it.
