Positive The Mary Sue Article About DerpyCon

DerpyCon South was this past weekend and an author for the site The Mary Sue decided to give the convention a visit despite not having seen the show and not knowing much about the fandom.

Turns out she was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed her time there! So much so she has added the show for her to watch on Netflix and says she will be back next year. Go show pony folk!

Bronies Need for Photography Shoot

My name is Scott, I am an art major and photographer currently working on a photography project for a gallery show in the category of cultures. I am looking for bronies to do a photo shoot for this show that are near central Florida (33884) near Orlando or are willing to travel there. I am college student and won't be getting paid for this show. so I wouldn't be able to pay anyone but i would provide copies of any prints i make for free. i will also credit anyone involved if they would like. i want specifically people wearing full costumes that aren't minors. this is a legit photo shoot and will not be used to poke fun at your community in any way. it's a great way to spread awareness. the deadline is Wednesday sept. 1, 2014. so i can shoot any day including the first. i have several locations locally in mind but since i don't have anyone to photograph yet the location is TBA and depends on how many responses i get. if anyone is interested please email me a small file photo of you in costume and whatever contact information you choose. sorry the deadline is so close but i just found out about the show myself.
