Ponies Ponies Ponies around the world. I'm not seeing a lot of Trixie representation here. Surely Funko Trixie was the top pony seller for last year? You all have one right?
Today we hit the 500 mark, with a lot more city shots than the last few. I guess whatever time this submission period was just happened to be a time when people were visiting the sprawling concrete jungles of the world.
Head on down below for a bunch of ponies around the world!

468 Way of the Cross - Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto - richfiles
My little herd, chillaxin' round the grotto, bein' in tune with nature, & smellin' the flowers! So lush and green! Flowers and beautiful hand laid rock are everywhere! A most relaxing experience! The Way of the Cross is run by the Catholic Diocese of New Ulm. Finished in 1904, it was built by the Sisters of the Order of the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ, who ran the Loretto Hospital & St. Alexander Home. Basically, a hundred years ago, a bunch of nuns dug a path on the side of a hill, hauled tons of rock & brick in wheelbarrows up said hill, and hand built everything! Must have been a sight! The 15 fully painted sculptures, depicting the "Stations of the Cross", were imported from Bavaria, Germany. They are housed in brick arches, with stone accents & concrete pillars. At the mid point is a beautiful grotto & at the end is a small chapel. Regardless of belief, it's a beautiful path, out of the way, yet accessible. It is painted in nature's palette of flowers and stones.

472 Applejack and Big Mac at the BOK - Austin Comix Inc.
First off, sorry about the image quality. My camera is worn out, and I never knew about the lens crack until after I shot all of my pictures that day. Anyway, here is Applejack and Big McIntosh standing in front of the Bank of Oklahoma Center, or BOK Center for short. The BOK Center is a 19,199-seat arena located in Tulsa, Oklahoma used to host a multitude of sports, concerts, and special events. Everything from football tournaments to monster truck competitions happen under the roof of this glistening Oklahoma icon. There's even a horse show going on at the end of August this year. It's the perfect place for a pair of hard-working competitive farm ponies to find some quality entertainment after a long day's work.

So this is actually 60 ft under the ice on the South Pole. I constructed this alcove which will last, provided nobody messes with it, longer than we will. Whilst I took this picture last year, it was in preparation for this event. So does South Pole ice count as a landmark?

474 Octavia at Cain's Ballroom - Austin Comix Inc.
Again, sorry about the image quality. Here is Octavia, standing on the hood of my 1964 Mercury Comet, at Cain's Ballroom. Cain's Ballroom is a historical music venue located in Tulsa, Oklahoma that has been around since its construction in 1924. Originally built as a garage for W. Tate Brady, one of the founders of Tulsa, it was soon bought by Madison W. "Daddy" Cain and opened to the public as a dance academy and event gathering, then called "Cain's Dance Academy." It hosted a variety of bands, ranging in genre from jazz, rag, blues, country, and many others. It even became the site of The Texas Playboys' first regular radio broadcast in 1934. After going dark in the late 1960s, Cain's was soon revived as "Cain's Ballroom" when Larry Schaeffer bought the building in 1976. It is now a popular Oklahoma historic landmark, where it continues to host a multitude of events and concerts.

475 There aren't any sea ponies... - Austin Comix Inc.
...but there is a big blue whale. Specifically, the Blue Whale of Catoosa, a roadside attraction located in Catoosa, Oklahoma, just off historic Route 66. It was originally built by Hugh Davis in the early 1970s as an anniversary present for his wife, Zelta, who collected whale figurines. The whale and its pond quickly became a popular swimming hole for locals and travelers alike. It was closed to the public in 1988 when the family could no longer maintain it, and thus the attraction fell into disrepair. Nearly a decade later, the people of Catoosa and employees of the Hampton Inn put together a fund-raiser and volunteer effort to restore the Route 66 icon. Although it is no longer a swimming hole, it is still a popular stop along Route 66 where people can have picnics, go fishing, and have fun. Even Lyra seems to be having fun.

Heartstrings family does have medieval origins, doesn't it? (See: The Lavender Letter fanfic - shipping perfected.) Here's a 13th-century town hall tower, 70 meters high. The roof is baroque, as the gothic one burned after being struck by lightning which also literally melted the tower's bell. The town hall itself (now demolished) hosted city council meetings for ca. 500 years.

483 Applebloom in the St. Stephans Cathedral catacombs - CMC_Scootaloo
This photo was made in the catacombs under St. Stephans Cathedral in Vienna. It was quite challenging to make these photos down there, because of the bars and the quite short tour, so I hadn't enough time to make perfect photos. The skeletons behind Applebloom are a little hard to recognize due to that.

This time not so scary, it shows Applebloom on the model of the St. Stephans Cathedral, that stands on the right side of the cathedral. It wasn't easy to make a good picture; since Applebloom is so small I couldn't make a photo of the whole model, so I had to zoom in a bit.
