Art itself takes many, many forms whether it be with traditional or digital media! With our wide and varied fandom you can except to see just about anything possible. Take a look at the five artists we have today and give them a watch if you can.
As usual, these posts are in similar style to the Tumblr Spotlights, a group of 3-4 artists will be spotlit each entry along with a small short description along with a small selection of their artwork! In order to make this feature work though we need people to suggest artists to us so make sure to send artists you think need some exposure to [email protected]. Please also include a short biography I can work with as well as what medium you work in most.
What sort of artists count? Suggestions should follow these criteria:
- No clop or extensive gore galleries as those typically violate our content guidelines. If the artist has a safe for work gallery separate from their not safe for work stuff they or their fans can submit the safe for work gallery. If there is a mix of SFW/NSFW on a gallery the decision whether or not to include them will be judged on a gallery to gallery basis.
- Don't be afraid to spotlight yourself as well as others!
- Artists of all types accepted -vector, OC, traditional, digital. As long as it is pony and of quality it has a chance of being spotlit.
Mozakiaeolus
Whether you excel at traditional art or digital art it all comes down to how you use it! Mozakiaeolus utilizes what they know of digital art and puts it extraordinary use whether it be in an action packed sequence or a quiet scene. Combine that with a coloring style that makes their work appear traditional in nature and you have a unique style that you're sure to enjoy!

Masem
Often enough we don't give enough credit to vector artists out there. Their ability to not only seamlessly copy scenes from the show but give traditional artwork that clean show-like appearance plays a valuable part in the community by not only being impressive works in themselves, but helping to enhance other parts of the community as well. Masem is one of our fandom's army of vector artists, but manages to stand out from the usual vector artist by not only providing resources for others who want to be vector artists, but also being prolific in vectoring art from the show as well as the fandom! Check out some of his samples below.

DarkMage2
Last up today we take a peek again into the traditional realm of pony art. But not solely traditional, oh no, DarkMage combines both digital and traditional into a wonderful final product. Drawing much of his art traditionally, Dark utilizes digital techniques for lighting and other digital manipulations to create images that have the charm of traditional with some of the added flair of digital. Give him a look!
