As many of you may know, a horrific typhoon by the name of Haiyan hit the Philippines this past week causing all sorts of damage, destruction, and death. In hopes of helping with this great disaster, Bronies for Good and the Brony Thank You Fund have teamed up to raise funds to help the suffering people affected by the storm. Check below on how you can help today!
Super Typhoon Haiyan, one of the most powerful typhoons ever recorded, has left a terrible trail of destruction across the Central Philippines. The provincial capital of Leyte, Tacloban, was almost completely devastated with estimated fatalities reaching well over 10,000 individuals. Needless to say, the destruction alone has left thousands without access to even the basic necessities of food, shelter, medicine and clean drinking water.
As part of the general disaster relief efforts responding to the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan, Bronies for Good and the Brony Thank You Fund have teamed up to raise funds for Habitat for Humanity’s Disaster Response Fund. Monies from this fund will go to the provisioning of emergency shelter kits to victims requiring immediate short-term shelter and long term reconstruction efforts.
To participate, head on over to the Brony Thank You Fund’s Ebay giving works page to donate directly to the fund, or to donate or bid on items that will have varying portions of proceeds allocated for disaster relief. All collected donations will be sent as an aggregate donations via the BTYF to Habitat for Humanity's Disaster Response Fund. Further ways to lend support to other first response organizations can be found here. -
If M.A Larson is the man to go to when you want to have classic movie homages, Dave Polsky is the guy you want to call when you need to crank the slapstick up to eleven. The cartoon element that made Loony Tunes a memorable series fits particularly well in episodes involving Pinkie Pie, because if there ever was a character who embodied the essence of sugar and Red Bull in a blender, it's the pink one with the poofy hair. Yes, Equestria Daily is now sponsored by Red Bull. It's the only way Seth functions.
This episode was all about the visual gags. Everything from the not-so-slight jab at the G3 style (which as I recall was not supposed to appear in the teasers for season three- the storyboarders weren't happy!) to Pinkie having a sudden attachment to fingers, to Twilight violently blowing up the excess Pinkie Pies with magic lasers- if you like Polsky's style of episode layouts, this was the one for you.

I'd love nothing more than to spend the next hour here blabbering about Blizzcon. This was definitely the first convention I've watched via Livestream at another convention. I love technology.
Anyway, Ronald sent these images over from the Heroes of the Storm demos. While Blizzard is known for dropping pony stuff in previous games, they veered away from the Friendship is Magic style with horse shapes. Not anymore! While you still have the option of charging across the battlefield on your noble rainbow steed, they have an alternate available with a striking resemblance to the ultimate equine form. The first image above does a good job of showing that off.
Whether this remains for launch, or if it was just a fun easter egg for Blizzcon remains to be seen. I have a feeling I'm going to be dropping LoL and Dota 2 like a bad date if they remain though. Blizzard knows my ultimate weakness. -
If there is one thing Hot Topic is good at, it's releasing completely out there merchandise. This pillow case version of the Comic Con exclusive poster from a few years ago is a new one over at their online shop for 11 bucks.

Oooh, Discord beat Nightmare Moon and Chrysalis? Does this count as Luna losing something? Intriguing! Here's to hoping for an alternate universe Discord episode then, or maybe a "pre-lockup years of Dicord's reign" thing.

We have more of those shorter animations in this one. The first, third, and fourth are your basic comic-esque pieces (or floaty through space with absolutely no point pieces), but the second will require you to turn on some subtitles, and probably check out the earlier episodes for an idea on what is going on... so do that. Yay~
