Nightly Roundup #618
by Calpain
Good evening everyone! Hungry for a snack? How about some Sweetie Belle to help ward off your hunger for a bit? Too bad looking directly at her results in stoppage of the heart, but that's a risk you've got to take for the sweetest milkshake around!
Time for some news everyone! Oh, and I'm glad to hear you like the This Day in Pony History segment. I'll try and convince Seth to add it into his Roundups so we have continuous coverage!

According to Anime News Network, Friendship is Magic will be popping up as a manga in the childrend's magazine "Pucchigumi". Whether this is going to be similar to the ones that appear in Sparkle World in the West, or super high quality like the comic series remains to be seen. Hopefully one of you over in Japan can snag a copy and let us know when it releases! -
It looks like the Skullgirls kickstarter is around 70k off their mark that would unlock the Skullgirls engine for Mane 6 to create their hooved combat game. If you still want to donate to the cause, hit up their page here! Hopefully the end of it sees a rush! -
With a long pony drought ahead of us thank goodness we still have a plethora of fan content to keep us busy! As usual the tumblr community steps up to the plate with a serving of unique and interesting pony content so let's dive in with another edition of the tumblr spotlight.
If you'd like to suggest a tumblr for a future spotlight, whether it be your own or one you really like, please send it my way at [email protected]. I'll take a look at it as soon as I can!

I'm sure at least a few of you have tried that Bit Trip Runner game. It tends to be either free in the Humble Indie Bundle, or incredibly cheap during steam sales and sitting on the front page. (I think it might be for sale now actually).
Anyway, have that in the first slot, and a simpler Applejack running through the forest in the second just because.
1.) [SFM] Rainbow Trails
2.) Run through the Forest [SFM]

Apple eating edition. Suddenly I want apples. Too bad I'm having pizza later instead.
Onward to art!

Comic Book Resources has posted up an interview with Katie cook built around the upcoming Rarity Micro-series comic releasing in April. They also tossed up a couple of covers, though I think only two of them are new.
Head on over here to read the entire thing!
Thanks to Masem for the heads up! -
Ultra-Pro, known for its card sleeves, protective cases, and more, has teamed up with Enterplay specifically for MLP merch. If you are curious about what they make for other companies, hit up the products page of their website.
Now all we need is an official MLP card game to go with our new boxes and sleeves. Can you handle Trixie mono blue counter deck? I think not.
Find their facebook announcement here. Thanks to Carlo for the head sup! -

Head on down the break for a bunch.
And as always: Hit the source for full sizes!

It's instrumental time! Gotta give Octavia some love sometimes right? We start off with a bit of Snowdrops, chillout style, followed by some soft orchestral, and finish with a song from Fiends from Dream Valley. Check them out below!
1.) Nicolas Dominique - Make a Happy Winter
2.) The Dream Walker
3.) David Larsen - Fiends (MLP Music)

Greetings! Cereal here with an update on our Android and iOS mobile apps.
We are now on version 1.0.5 for both flavors of the app, and with that tiny, unassuming five comes bugfixes, style changes, and a fix for one of the most irritating Blogger limitations I've seen in working with it for over two years- yes, the Daily Limit Exceeded notification bug should be well and squished, which has been a major complaint since launch day. That fix has actually been live for a while, but I figured I'd let you know anyway.
Other than that, the changelogs read:
Android:
- Moved some parts of the interface for better usability
- Removed the now redundant title bar and icon to gain more reading space
- Added an option to switch between mobile-mode (default) and full-view mode for the post reader and comment screens
- Reduced the amount of ads shown in the app
- Fixed IntenseDebate persistance bug
- Fixed scaling issues for post content
- Fixed black/white flashing issue that occured during scrolling
iOS:
- Added an option to switch between mobile-mode (default) and full-view mode for the post reader and comment screens
- Reduced the amount of ads shown in the app
- Fixed IntenseDebate persistance bug
- Fixed font for viewing posts and comments
- Fixed timezone for post publishing and update dates
- Fixed scaling issues for post content

Nightly Roundup #617
by Calpain
Well, the new Bioshock is here so I know what Seth is going to be going crazy about for the next little while. I'll have to get around to it sometime this weekend I think.
Anyhow, short Roundup tonight guys! Since this one is sort of short let me ask a question: How do you guys feel about the new This Day in Pony History section and what sort of new sections would you like to see in future Roundups?
