Nightly Roundup #602
by Calpain
Cute Fluttershy and Scootaloo? How could I pass it up! Now, if you managed to survive a double barreled blast of cute, how about we get to the news?
Check it all out after the break!

Description: "An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind," or so the saying goes. It is a reminder that revenge, no matter how justified it may seem, never solves anything. It is also completely irrelevant to this story.
An Eye for an Eye (New Part 5!)
Instead, we join the Great and Powerful Trixie, who has once again returned to Ponyville to find Twilight Sparkle. This time, however, she comes seeking the help of a friend. Something old and dark is stirring, and she's convinced it's out for blood.

I'm pretty amazed at how much convention news is flowing in lately. I guess that's what happens when there are 30+ of them though!
Have some headlines:
- EQLA Announces Nicole Oliver
- EQLA Musician Announcement
- Bronycon: Show the World Why You Are Excited
- Galacon Announces Jan Animations and John Joseco
- Canterlot Gardens 2013 Kickstarter Update
-
Now that Burger King's ponies have officially been released over in Europe, some comparison shots of what they look like next to both the McDonalds pony and Brushables have been released. Taliesin sends this image over. Honestly as a molded fan, these things are pretty amazing for a simple fast food toy. Hopefully we see them pop up in the states at some point! -
And so ends the first arc of the My Little Pony comic series. Without dropping any spoilers up here, I can say I really enjoyed this one. Everything from the crazy pop culture references and jokes to the "Evil doin' cheese grater" herself felt very much like an episode of pony, but marketed a bit more toward the adult fanbase. Chrysalis didn't get a whole lot of airtime in the finale, so seeing her character fleshed out was a treat to say the least!
So what did you all think? Did this multi-part pony adventure live up to your expectations?
I know I'm looking forward to the next arc coming up! It sounds like we are finally going to see a bit of pony history.
And if you haven't checked this series out yet, get on it already! They are only two bucks a pop over at Comixology now. I swear these guys aren't endorsing EQD at all, it's just an awesome place to read this stuff if you like it mobile like I do.
We need more of these! Keep supporting it! -
And while you are there, they also have the second series up as a pre-release a month before retail release. -

If you have a tumblr you'd like to contribute, please make sure to send it along with a brief description of your tumblr to [email protected] where I'll try my best to take a look at it for possible inclusion in a future post. Now on to our first tumblr today and make sure to check the others out after the break.
Ask Cyberpunk Spitfire
First off is a tumblr that is a bit more serious than we're used to posting, but that doesn't make it any less good! Taking place several years in the future in the FiM timeline, Twilight Sparkle has invented a technique called simply 'The Procedure' after Rainbow Dash suffers from a terrible accident. Unfortunately, things go wrong as Twilight begins to change and the Procedure is preformed on more and more ponies. Told through the eyes of Spitfire, this cyberpunk tale is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat as you explore this future Equestria!

We start off with a song that splices vocals from a couple of Twilight Sparkle in-show singles, with a beautiful background track to go with it, followed by even more splicing in the form of something I'm not even sure how to label, and just in case splicing isn't your thing, we finish with a remix of Find a Way, R&B style. Find them all below!

To the Moon - A Ponified Trailer
by Calpain
As some of you may know from reading my past Roundups, I am a huge fan of To the Moon, a wonderful adventure style game that will keep you gripped until it makes you cry. It's one of the best games I have played in years and to see it finally combined with pony made me do a figurative back-flip (as a real back-flip would probably lay me up in bed).
Check on after the break for a wonderful ponified version of the To the Moon trailer thanks to the incredibly talented Galaxyart!
