Artist Training Ground - Sidekicks Edition

It's Tuesday night here in EQDland, and outside of the usual pony news, we have the weekly Training Grounds to attend to!

We had a Spike and pet centered episode this week, but only the mane 6 and their critters got any love.  What about the rest of ponyville? Surely they have plans to hit up the Equestria Games, and pets that need tending to.

Pick a pony that wasn't included, and draw them and their pet.

Funrise Releases Twilight Alicorn Plushie Image

Funrise has released an image of their upcoming Twilight alicorn plushie.  It was also hiding in the back of an image they posted up a few months ago as many of you have already pointed out.  This one will be arriving on store shelves some time in the Fall.

700 of these things? By Celestia, the art in this community is insane!  How does one group create so much quality?  You guys rock.

I think the filly Chrysalis meme is a good way to celebrate it.  Technically FiM was just a meme generation tool back in the early months of it's life.  I doubt many expected it to go this route two years down the road.

The 4th and final episode of the Turnabout Storm series has finally been released! This one is clocking in at a whopping hour and 20 minutes to boot!  After almost a year, we will finally wrap this giant Equestrian court case up!

Brony 101: Alicorns

Bombshells! Alicorns! Celestia with creepy eyes!  Saberspark is back with another episode of Brony 101, and as with all the news today, it is almost fandom-shattering in scale.  Head on down below, but wear ear plugs, because your mind is about to be blown. 

Super Secret Awesome Leak - Morgan Freeman to Voice Twilight Sparkle

About a year ago, a leaked voice acting audition clip popped up on Youtube that caused waves throughout the fandom.  It sounded like Morgan Freeman was planning on voicing Applejack in a future season!

Sadly, this never happened.  Seasons two and three came and went, and the general consensus was that Mr. Freeman didn't make the cut.

But 12 minutes ago on Twitter, Tara Strong dropped a bombshell.  Apparently Twilight's shape and abilities aren't the only things changing!  With her new alicorn goddess powers, it's only natural that she would need a godlike voice.

Look forward to Morgan "Sparkle" Freeman in season 4 and beyond. 

Twilight Size Comparison

The front-on image of Twilight isn't too easy to judge sizes with, but luckily, a new image of Twilight in comparison to Rainbow Dash has started making its rounds.  As I mentioned in the toy post, it's not a massive increase, but she did gain a few inches.  Head on down below the break to check it out!  This isn't a finalized image by any means, so there is a chance that she will change.

As some of you may have already noticed, the Pinkie Pie Party DVD officially hit Wal-Mart's shelves today.  This one comes with the following episodes:

Having dug through it already, it looks like the sing-a-long this time around is Smile Smile Smile.  No surprise there right? 

10 Episode Marathon on The Hub

It looks like the finale of FiM on the 16th of February will be rolling with a full on 10 episode long marathon.  A Discovery press release details the specifics:
