It's been awhile folks, but welcome once again to another artist spotlight! Now that the new season is underway, what sort of new artists will appear from the shadows to blow us away with their art? Well, hopefully we can introduce you to some tonight so check on after the break for some artists you might not have heard of!
As usual, these posts are in similar style to the Tumblr Spotlights, a group of 3-4 artists will be spotlit each entry along with a small short description along with a small selection of their artwork! In order to make this feature work though we need people to suggest artists to us so make sure to send artists you think need some exposure to calpain@equestriadaily.com. Please also include a short biography I can work with as well as what medium you work in most.
What sort of artists count? Suggestions should follow these criteria:
- No clop or extensive gore galleries as those typically violate our content guidelines. If the artist has a safe for work gallery separate from their not safe for work stuff they or their fans can submit the safe for work gallery. If there is a mix of SFW/NSFW on a gallery the decision whether or not to include them will be judged on a gallery to gallery basis.
- Don't be afraid to spotlight yourself as well as others!
- Artists of all types accepted -vector, OC, traditional, digital. As long as it is pony and of quality it has a chance of being spotlit.

It is always a joy to see an artist, let alone a young artist, start up traditional artwork! Some of you may already know Kat from her Cadance Gets Makeover series here on EqD, but her work certainly extends beyond the comic. With beautiful lineart complemented by fantastic shading and coloring with markers, her work has a charm you can only get with traditional styles. Certainly give her a look!

Next up on the digital front is an artist that specializes in that soft touch when making their artwork. Taliesin's dark and soft colors can really bring out a different aspect of pony art (and make for one awesome wet mane Rarity!) Take a look at some examples below.

Last up is a something a bit different! One of the best things about the pony fandom is the limitless crossovers as well as the countless situations and styles we put our ponies in. Davion demonstrates that wonderfully with epic pony pictures, monsters, and some good old Warhammer 40k! Take a look!
