Cake and a Story
I'm not sure if I should send this, but I just finished my final in Pastries class and I wanted to show at least some people who would get it. We had to choose a theme and create a cake and two different decorated cookies for it. I chose to use Friendship is Magic. I really am very proud of most of it. I had problems with Twilight Sparkle's cookie, I had made candy for her star but even after drying for two days there were still soft in the center and broke when I went to put them on the cookie so i had to do an emergency last minute piping job for it instead. I know it could look better, but I'm still glad i was able to finish it and keep the design recognizable. I am really happy Rainbow Dash's cookie, and I like the cake a lot too.
A variety of techniques were used. Twilight's cookie was a combination of flood icing, fondant cutouts, and the last minute piped frosting. Rainbow Dash's used fondant modeling and piped frosting. The Pinkie Pie and Rarity components on the cake were made with flood icing and piped royal icing details. Fluttershy and Applejack's modeled using handmade marzipan, with some royal icing details on the butterfly. The centerpiece was made out of pastillage with luster dust coloring it.

A few bronies from the Bronies of Northern California appeared on KGO-TV, channel 7 news in San Francisco, California. The first person shown in the story is Ohad Kanne, one of the leaders of the Bronies of Northern California. It also features footage from SacAnime this summer.

Tampa Bay Fundraising Event
Hi there! My university organization (which you at Equestria Daily were nice enough to help me advertise a few months back in another nightly roundup) is hosting a couple of fundraising auctions to benefit a Brony Gala that's going to be held in our area (Tampa, FL).
Seeing as you guys were so helpful with the formation of our group initially, we were hoping we could get some assistance in advertising our auctions as well. The auctions are only going to be open until Monday, December 2nd, so if you could squeeze these into one of the nightly roundups over this weekend, that would be incredibly awesome.
