Today is November 9, 2013. In one day, The Crystal Empire, Part 1 -- and Season Three -- will have aired exactly one year prior to that. Remember how long we waited for this to come out, wondering if we'd ever see the other side of mountains literal and figurative? Ha. We were so naive.
If you were to take a hypothetical timeline of Equestrian history, it'd probably be flat up to Year 0, flat for 999 years before the events of Friendship is Magic, and OMGAWFULWAFFLE in between. Just how many menaces to existence did these two princesses put on layaway back then? Poor Twilight's nothing but an ontological janitor.
Anyway, Equestria expands her empire... with an empire (yo dawg), Twilight does the singy-thingy-under-stress, and we get our very first look at tiny ewes. Oh yeah, I guess there's the whole "lost civilization returning to existence thing, too".
