It occurs to me that if the pegasi ever wanted to cripple major ground transportation in preparation for their aerial assault on Ponyville, all they'd have to do is take out this one train. Maybe there are multiple trains that look exactly the same, though. Maybe for every toy train they sell the train gains a level, like Cookie Clicker if instead of cookies it was a giant pink friendship train that routinely carries the Harmony Element bearers around when at least three of them don't need it. Friendship Clicker, get on it guys.
Keeping with the theme of old movie throwbacks- if that is indeed a theme, and if it isn't, don't tell me- even the title of this episode is a throwback to the 1934 crime novel Murder on the Orient Express, written by Agatha Christie. Instead of dealing with a murder, though, the mane six just have to deal with someone eating giant desserts. Fun fact, even though Applejack was the only investigated pony not to admit to eating any of the cake, she was originally planned to, but the scene got cut for time. Lucky break, applebutt.
Be sure to don your bowler hat and catch Celestia: Dessert Fetishist after the break.
