Look, sometimes I reach my limits in objectivity, ok? I'm sorry (I'm not sorry). Last night's prompt was, fittingly, about art and performing great acts. A great act is a strange thing, though. Sometimes it's not about producing a work of peerless quality to be marveled at. In fact, most of the time I'd say that's true. Because what I find impressive is when people step out of their comfort zones to deliver every night and improve because they thought they could be better. Well, here we are. 292 master ponies later, and my hat is off to you. Er... if I had a hat. It's a metaphor! Our latest gallery gives us a grand event total of 5009 pictures. Tell me: how far do you think we can take this?
A reminder, today is your last day to get in late entries in our first makeup gallery! If you want to do another piece for a theme gone by or send in one you couldn't do the day of, this is your last chance until we open the second gallery at the 2/3 mark of the event. I'll link it here one last time. Your deadline is the same as tonight's prompt.
Come one, come all! It's Open Night at the Galleria of Ponies, and everyone's invited! What wonders will you witness? What do people think a masterpiece looks like? I think you'll find some very interesting answers inside. You guys keep doing things to challenge my perceptions of what's possible with a prompt, and I love you for it. My deepest regret is that I don't have the power to comment on everything. I promise, I do what I can.
A proper prompt appropriates plenty of pleasant possibilities, pleasing to present, purvey, or (purportedly) to peruse. Presently, do you ponder what presumption your participation in this prompt precipitates? Prodigious! Draw a pony putting on a play/Draw a pony performing. Submit all entries here by 11:59 PM, Pacific time on Tuesday, August 27. Prepare!
