But on that note, I have an important message that some of you might want to make note of: it's come to my attention that some people are submitting drawings which, while they are fitting of the themes, they had drawn at a time unrelated to the event, sometimes months ago. I don't have a very good or efficient way of checking this, so if you want to keep doing it then go for it I guess, but... please think for a second about how self defeating this is. Maybe you think you have art chops aplenty, but there's always room for improvement, and you make that a lot harder on yourself by taking the easy route. So I implore you: if you're going to submit for this year's event, please submit a drawing you've done specifically for that day's theme. Thank you.
On one final clerical note before we get back to the festivities, we're going to be opening our first makeup gallery on Saturday, Day 10. If you didn't get a submission in before the box closed, or if you just plain missed your chance to draw a day, this is your first opportunity to make up for it. Makeup galleries stay open for 3 days, so prepare yourselves! Now then, happily continuing our 6 day consecutive streak of ponies with 3D Maneuver Gear, today's gallery is kind of a big deal, but it's small potatoes compared to what we'll accomplish later. Just you wait and see.
A theme, a theme, my blogdom for a theme! A week of ponies is no small feat, methinks. At such times, a little rest is in order. Today, Draw a pony laying down/Draw a pony lying. And before any grammarians get on my case about this, the direct obeject of laying is implied, so nyeh. Please submit all entries here by 11:59 PM, Pacific time on Thursday, August 22. You'd better get ready!
