It's been awhile, but it is time once again for an artist spotlight everyone! Considering that the ATG is going on right now this feature seems to be a great companion to go alongside it, don't you think? Thank you all for sending in so many artists for me to look through! It has been a pleasure getting to known so many new people out there in the art community.
As for submitting new artists to me I am making a small change. Some artists make comics from time to time though they don't count it as their primary art form, but these comics tend to get over 500 favorites as they usually end up on EqD. So, if an artist is known more for their stand alone pieces instead of their comics don't be afraid to send them in even if they have a couple comics over 500 faves (like Karpetshark above).
As usual, these posts are in similar style to the Tumblr Spotlights, a group of 3-4 artists will be spotlit each entry along with a small short description along with a small selection of their artwork! In order to make this feature work though we need people to suggest artists to us so make sure to send artists you think need some exposure to calpain@equestriadaily.com. Please also include a short biography I can work with as well as what medium you work in most.
What sort of artists count? Suggestions should follow these criteria:
- No clop or extensive gore galleries as those typically violate our content guidelines. If the artist has a safe for work gallery separate from their not safe for work stuff they or their fans can submit the safe for work gallery. If there is a mix of SFW/NSFW on a gallery the decision whether or not to include them will be judged on a gallery to gallery basis.
- Those with below 500 faves on their most popular pony picture on dA or similar gallery (Furaffinity, ect) will take priority consideration in posts, but those who have above this number are still welcome to submit or have their fans submit.
- Don't be afraid to spotlight yourself as well as others!
- Artists of all types accepted -vector, OC, traditional, digital. As long as it is pony and of quality it has a chance of being spotlit.
Karpetshark
You might know the name Karpetshark from the Tumblr Spotlight posts where I have posted her Twily Daily and Trixie and Twilight tumblrs due to how cute her art style is. Incredibly unique amongst other artists out there, she follows a very cute almost 1940s sort of style with how she designs her characters, especially in the eyes. Able to convey tons of emotion with her style whether it be pony, pet, or draconequus she is certainly worth checking out.

Cappydarn
Pixelated art is one of my favorites and it is always a joy to see them pop up in the pony fandom. Cappydarn not only delves into the realm of pixels, but also into digital hand drawn art with a variety of different styles ranging from almost traditional art looking pieces to humanized ponies. Not afraid to change up their style what they need to Cappy is certainly an artist to watch for cute and entertaining art.

Finally up tonight is another up and coming artist in the digital realm! With well proportioned ponies, a knack for backgrounds and wonder color effects CrispyChris has created a style that is pleasing to the eye and is infused with enough charm sure to make you smile. Check out his work below!
