The third annual DJ-athon charity event is starting today! If you are looking for something to check out, head on down below the break for all the relevant information on it!
Celestia Radio is proud to present our latest and greatest event, the third DJ-athon! In CR fashion we’re going bigger and better than our previous two DJ-athons, by providing live entertainment courtesy of our DJ’s and special guests for a whopping 240 hours!
To stay true to our previous DJ-athons, this third installment will be a charity fundraiser. That being said this fundraiser will be a bit different from those we have had in the past. For the first 24 hours of the event, all donations received will go directly to Kiki’s cancer fund to commend the bravery of such a beautiful girl, who recently lost her battle to cancer. The previous two DJ-athons have been solely for Kiki, and Celestia Radio is honored as always to help support Ami, Kiki’s fantastic father and constant supporter, as well as the rest of her family.
For the remainder of the DJ-athon a new fundraiser will start up. For all donations that the station receives after the first 24 hours of the event, fifty percent will go directly to supporting Musiquestria 2014. As you may or may not know, starting in just days beginning at Everfree Northwest, the first ever full sized Brony musician tour will take to the road and perform at numerous venues across the United States. They already plan on operating next year so Celestia Radio hopes to give Musiquestria the foundation they need to tour in more cities, states, countries? Who knows! The tour is a great expression of the fandom and CR is would be proud to help aid in it’s history!
To get the party started before it’s even time for the DJ-athon, ALL the musiquestria musicians will be live on Celestia Radio to talk about the tour, chat, and maybe even play a bit! Ending the 240 hours of live shows, Rommel from Bronies for Good, will join the hosts of the podcast Bronytime, for a charity livestream event to be simulcasted on both CR and CTV! Starting at the ripe time of 2am EST, July 3rd, Celestia Radio will welcome all the members of the upcoming Musiquestria tour on the air to discuss the event, take questions, and chat in general. This is the official “pre-show” to the upcoming DJ-athon CR will be hosting the following morning. Due to late night rehearsals the show may start a bit late, but you’ll be glad you waited!
