Well, that was quite a response! You guys certainly work fast when a new feature pops up as I got somewhere around 70 emails, sometimes containing links to multiple artists, in around 12 hours. As such I guess I should get started on these then, eh? Oh, if you did not receive a reply from me, don't worry. There were just so many emails!
Curious as to what this all is? Well read below on how to get involved!
In similar style to the Tumblr Spotlights, a group of 3-4 artists will be spotlit each entry along with a small short description along with a small selection of their artwork! In order to make this feature work though we need people to suggest artists to us so make sure to send artists you think need some exposure to calpain@equestriadaily.com. Please also include a short biography I can work with as well as what medium you work in most.
What sort of artists count? Suggestions should follow these criteria:
- No clop or extensive gore galleries as those typically violate our content guidelines. If the artist has a safe for work gallery separate from their not safe for work stuff they or their fans can submit the safe for work gallery. If there is a mix of SFW/NSFW on a gallery the decision whether or not to include them will be judged on a gallery to gallery basis.
- Those with below 500 faves on their most popular pony picture on dA or similar gallery (Furaffinity, ect) will take priority consideration in posts, but those who have above this number are still welcome to submit or have their fans submit.
- Don't be afraid to spotlight yourself as well as others!
- Artists of all types accepted -vector, OC, traditional, digital. As long as it is pony and of quality it has a chance of being spotlit.
Locolimo
First off on our journey into the art world is a little known artist known as Locolimo. Specializing in character portrait and character themed pictures for things such as wallpapers, Loco has been on the pony scene for about a year now. Even though he doesn't have the sheer volume of works produced each month like other artists, his work certainly has a distinct and wonderfully finished look that is awesome! Check out some samples of his art below!

Leekfish
Next up on our tour is an artist with not only a fun name, but a fun style as well! Leekfish like many of us has been a fan of pony for awhile now, but has only started to really break out with pieces such as her mail mare Derpy stamp she did some time ago! What caught my eye in particular is her ability and courage to try out different types of styles when doing her artwork, primarily of her use of different coloring styles! Pay her visit and say hello everyone!

Palibyte
Now for something completely different! As many of you may notice, a lot of artists tend to stick to one form of pony: show style ponies, comics, anthros, ect. It's a lot rarer to find someone who is able to focus on more than one form of pony and pull that off well and that is where folks like Palibyte come in. Working in both regular pony and anthro combined with a unique painted style you end up with some kick ass art! Check it below.

Symphonia Melody
Finally today is something sweet to end our first feature on. Symphonia Melody is a young pegasister of only 12 and already she is showing quite a bit of talent in the traditional arts, but can always use feedback to help her grow. Honestly, if she is doing this well at her age she has a bright future in art if she keeps it up. Well done!
