Conventions across the fandom have been known for their charity auctions and Everfree Northwest is no exception. With the convention just a few weeks away they wanted to let you all know about some of the items up for sale at this year's charity auction. You can find all the details and pictures in the release after the break!
EVERFREE NORTHWEST 2013 CHARITY AUCTION SHOWCASING TRULY AMAZING WORKS
With Everfree Northwest 2013 bearing down upon us in less than a month, we here at the Charity Department would like to bring to everypony's attention some of the highlights of what will be available in our Charity Auction, to be held at 5pm Pacific Daylight Time on Saturday, July 6th.
Last year's auction brought in $13,535 for the Seattle Children's Hospital, and this year we hope to do even better!
Some of our highlight pieces are as follows:
"Project Elemental" by Nick Accristo, a gorgeous gold and Swarovski crystal amulet that comes in a collector's box signed by Tara Strong, John de Lancie, Andrea Libman, Andrew Francis, Britt and Carly McKillip, Peter New, Brenda Crichlow, Maryke Hendrikse, Michelle Creber, Mark Oliver, Michael Daingerfield, Garry Chalk, Sam Vincet, Cathy Weseluck, Trevor Devall, Nicole Oliver, Lee Tocar, Tabitha St. Germain, Amy Keating Rogers, M. A. Larson, Meghan McCarthy, Cinty Morrow, Daniel Ingram, and Andy Price.
"Sunrise in Equestria" by Cosmic Unicorn, a truly stunning 16" by 20" oil painting of Canterlot Castle as seen from the south, in the style of Albert Bierstadt. This beautiful view of our beloved Equestria's capital city was recently seen as the header piece for Equestria Daily's Nightly Roundup #683, and seen here whilst it was still in progress.
A life-sized statue of Princess Celestia, one which originated as a costume, donated and assembled by Jaylen VanOrden.
A "Determination" motivational poster featuring Twilight Sparkle, signed by Tara Strong, donated by Rob Wilkinson.
Three Everfree Northwest posters signed and donated by Tabitha St. Germain.
A complete collection of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic comic book issue number 1s, one of each cover, donated by Travis Morse.
To this collection, we would like to add your works! Any donations you care to give, of original works or of collectible pieces of interest to our audience, are still being gladly accepted. Every cent we earn will be donated to our charity, the Seattle Children's Hospital, and donations will
be accepted via mail until the 30th of June, as well as at the convention until noon Saturday. Please contact us at our Charity email, [email protected], if you wish to send us a donation or if you have any questions. Information on where to send the goods will come in an email once we have accepted your donation.
In addition to this auction, the Charity Department is gathering toys for donation to the Seattle Children's Hospital for donation to patients. If you are attending Everfree Northwest this year, please consider bringing a new, unwrapped toy, in the original packaging, to deposit in one of the convenient bins we'll be stationing around the convention.
Thank you for your interest, and we look forward to seeing you at the convention!
Yours,
Going Once
