This April 10th through the 14th, the Kansas City Filmfest will be rollin with a bunch of pony centered events in honor of the Brony Documentary that will be displayed for the world to see. Included in the schedule are Q&A's witht he filmmaker and John de Lancie, special dinner events, a pizza party with with Lauren Faust, and a DJ party to top it all off. KANSAS CITY FILMFEST TO SCREEN BRONIES, HOST SERIES OF VIP EVENTS
The Kansas City FilmFest is proud to present the documentary Bronies: The Extremely Unexpected Adult Fans of My Little Pony and to announce special events related to the film throughout the festival, April 10-14 at the Alamo Drafthouse Mainstreet.
On Thursday, April 11, Bronies will make its theatrical debut at a 7:15 p.m. screening. Tickets are $20 and include a postfilm Q&A with filmmaker Michael Brockhoff and executive producer John de Lancie, who also voices “Discord” in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Immediately prior to this screening, from 5:45 to 7:00 p.m., fans have the chance to meet, dine and have photo opps with Brockhoff and de Lancie during “Dinner with Discord” at the Alamo. Tickets are $30 and include food and nonalcoholic beverages.
On Saturday, April 13, Bronies will screen once more at 8 p.m.; tickets are $20. Attending this screening will be Brockhoff and animator Lauren Faust, the creator of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Fans also have the chance to meet and visit with Faust during a “Pony Pizza Party” from 6:30 to 8 p.m. that night; tickets are $30 and include pizza and nonalcoholic beverages.
After both film screenings, bronies and fans can gather in the Chesterfield Lounge at the Alamo, where brony DJs Qcom and Shamrock will spin pony beats. Their sets will be streamed on Celestia Radio.
