Grand Brony GalaMain Press Release
While Brony conventions around the country, this year marks the first in the South East, with the Grand Brony Gala! What is the Grand Brony Gala? It is a one-day convention for fans of all ages, of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. The Grand Brony Gala will be held in Riverview, Florida, (close to Tampa) on June 29th, 2013 at the Hilton Garden Inn. The Hilton is offering discounted hotel rooms starting at only $89 a night. To reserve a hotel room, use this link.
The day portion of the event will consist of tons panels. For example, representatives of the My Little Investigations development team are hosting a live demo and Q&A panel; Whammy Games will be hosting 3 game-show style competitions, such as Jeopardy. Also, there will be karaoke, a crafting panel where you get to customize a blind bag pony, two voice acting panels, cupcake decorating, and more. Along with panels, there will also be a small carnival included in your day ticket for both Bronies and kids, with classic carnival games with small prizes for the winners.
Dozens of local, and not-so-local artists and vendors will be in attendance with nearly every kind of pony art you can find online, free of shipping charges: badges, prints, perler ponies, shadow boxes, plushies, cosplay accessories, jewelry, custom blind bags/toys, and more. There still are a few artist and vendor spots open at $30 and $60 each, so if you’re interested in selling at the convention you can buy a table or booth here. There is also the opportunity for sponsorships and advertising in the convention guide. Spots are starting at $75. Find out how to become a sponsor here.
But the fun doesn’t stop there. At night there is a formal dance with Brony music at the Evening Gala from 7 pm to midnight. Along with dancing, there will be a performance by MLP cosplayers. Refreshments will be served. It is a separate ticket purchase, which you can get here for $25 each, or a combination ticket for the day and evening for only $45, (a savings of $10 if purchased separately).
This may be a one-day convention, but if you’ve got a weekend to spare there are lots of things to do in the area. If you decide to stay an extra day or more, you could go to the beach, (such as world famous Clearwater Beach), visit one of the many theme parks, (like Busch Gardens, or Disney’s Magic Kingdom), visit Tampa’s Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI) or the Florida Aquarium, or take a boat tour through the swamps.
Saving the best for last, a portion of all the ticket sales, drawings and artist auction, is going towards All Children’s Hospital through the Children’s Miracle Network. They’re a great charity that is totally focused on pediatric childcare and research. The Grand Brony Gala is a non-profit convention. If you would like to donate towards the convention you would be entered in to our drawings for some great prizes. If you would like to donate directly towards All Children’s Hospital, you can donate here.

Fiesta Equestria Loads of Stuff!
We Love Fine Coming to Fiesta Equestria!
That's right, We Love Fine will be vending at Fiesta Equestria, so you can browse and purchase all your favorite pony designs in person! You'll find We Love Fine's Sugar Cube Corner booth at V1 in our dealer's room this June.
Kickstarter Super Successful!
Our Kickstarter raised $11,386 dollars, with ~$10,600 usable after Kickstarter and Amazon Fees! The FE! Staff team would like to thank everyone who backed and spread the word, and SuperPsyGuy and his team for making this awesome promo video. If you supported, you should already have your reward survey in your email box, so check your emails! We will be using the money to pay for our musical guests' airfare and housing ahead of time (unlike some conventions *coughLPUcough*), and we are using the rest of the funds to work out a deal to bring either Britt McKillip or Michelle Creber or both to perform at our Friday Night Hey Ocean concert. Bottom line? Fiesta Equestria is going to be awesome, you should come!
Art Contest Extended
We have received so many awesome submissions to our Summer Skies and Sojourn art contest that we have decided to let it run a little longer! The new deadline is May 31st at midnight. If you would like a better chance at winning the free pass, submit a Summer Skies or Sojourn individual picture, as those contests have less entries.
Dealer's Room Spots Going Fast!
If you haven't already secured your table to sell your art or custom merch, do so soon! You choose your table when you register, but it's first come first served! You can see which tables are still available, and what artist and vendors are already confirmed for Fiesta Equestria on our Dealer's Room page. If you need any help obtaining seller's verification, don't hesitate to email our Vending Lead at fevending@gmail.com and she'll help you get ready for an awesome con vending experience!
