Bzzz! Bzzz bzzz bzzz, bzzzzzz! Bzzzzzzzzzz! Bzzzzy bzzz bzzza bzzzzoooo!
Ah, the majestic kazoo. Most beautiful and mysterious of all the instruments. Such is the splendor of the kazoo that to hear its dulcet tones in their full and untamed glory could potentially result in hearing, or at least that feeling when you need to clean out your ears because they feel like they're going to pop. You know what I'm talking about? That is the worst.
I can't promise you any kazoos tonight, but we have a wonderful selection of music all the same. So hop along with filly Octavia and bzzz bzzz bzz the night away! Four out of five fillies recommend Music of the Day!

Transformers website TFW 2005 dug into a 2012 Q3 Earnings conference call and pulled out a few neat tidbits of information on why we are only seeing 13 episodes in season three. Brian Goldner (Hasbro's big cheese) was asked about reducing production costs, and within the response he revealed some specific information regarding childrens programming and how exactly seasons work.
More specifically, this quote:
"Yeah, yeah the cash spend you really have to do when you have a successful TV Series… In fact Hasbro Studios TV Shows has outperformed other TV Shows on the Hub by 74% rating with 4 of the Top 10 shows on the network right now. So as you look at great performance of TV Shows, you are able to produce fewer episodes in subsequent series than you need for earlier series. You know, kids love watching episodes over and over again but you have to add an element of newness but you don’t need to spend to produce entire new series again. You can add 13 episodes or a 26 episodes to a pool of 52 already produced Episodes. So therefore you are able to… with a success TV Series… produce fewer in a year. Overall, Hasbro Studios has greenlit over 800 half-hours of programming. We also still have several hundreds of half-hour programming that we are producing for the network and also looking at whether there are successful tv series we obviously then spend less per new series because we are able to produce newer shows."
I can understand it from a marketing perspective, and someone who was a child for quite a few years! We really did re-watch Doug and Hey Arnold endlessly. New episodes were great, but when I was bored, anything was entertaining.
I'm sure you all re-watch pony too, but our specific demographic is a bit more demanding than our kid counterparts. Hopefully as the brony scene continues to grow, we might get a bit more of a focus for pony!
This isn't 100% confirmed for the reasoning behind 13 episodes, but it does give a bit of insight into why Hasbro does what they do. -
Style edition! We have so many varying ways of showing off these characters, its almost overwhelming.

Description: It is the responsibility of a king to care for his people and maintain order in his kingdom. That shouldn’t be much trouble for a ruler as powerful as Discord, right? With his faithful and insecure advisor at his side, the draconequus sets out to explore his new world and personally see to it that peace reigns in Equestria.
All Links After the break!
However, the ponies want nothing to do with their frightening new ruler, and the unamused Spirits of Equestria aim to drag the Spirit of Chaos away before he can cause any more harm. Can the Spirit of Chaos be the ruler Equestria needs? Or is he truly doomed to become the monster he is seen to be?

Brian Ward from Shout Factory dropped this over on his Twitter page. Apparently Lauren is on the list, but couldn't be included in this one, with plans to add her to an upcoming set. Good news all around I say! Hopefully the season 2 DVD pack will sneak some of her in there. I guess only time will tell!

It's almost Halloween! You need to decorate some pumpkins! Not sure how to do it?

We're drawing near to the release of the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Season 1 DVD Box Set. It's something we've been wanting for a long time, and it's really exciting to see it right on the horizon. All signs point to it being a really awesome release, with tons of cool extras and commentary from most of your favorite VAs and show staff.
But there is something missing. Of all the people speaking on the DVD about the show, series creator and founder Lauren Faust is not among them. And she's seriously bummed out about it, too.
I can't begin to speculate on the reasons why she wouldn't be included in something as momentous as this, but my heart goes out to her. Lauren is a warm and wonderful person, and without her we would have none of the things that have thrilled, amazed, and entertained us these past few years. Not a one.
Now, the box set has already been produced. It's going to ship in its current form, and there's not really anything that can be done about it. But I think Lauren deserves more than a sigh and a shrug of our shoulders. So for now, here's what we're asking you to do: tell her how you feel. Go send her a tweet, go write her a DeviantART note, go write a letter, go tell her in your own words what Friendship is Magic has meant to you. Thank her. Wish her well.
But more than anything, be positive. Let's support the series and its creator both. Please, help us in reaching out to a wonderful woman who could use a bit of cheering up right now. Sometimes it can be really easy to forget how loved you really are in the wake of some bad news.
