Christmas and Fic Competition

Fresh off the heels of the MLPchan Thanksgiving competition, a larger, Christmas contest has begun. MLPchan's /fic/ and /art/ communities are having another holiday contest open for all pony writers and artists. This competition will include both Fanfiction and Artwork, with a winner for each receiving a copy of the IDW canon FiM comic. If you didn't get a chance to compete for the prize in it, or didn't win and want another shot at glory, or are an artist instead, here's your shot.
The details of the write & draw-off can be found on the thread here as well as on the competition site, but here's a quick rundown:
Prompt Submissions:
open: Sat, 08 Dec 2012 22:00:00 CST.
close: Sat, 08 Dec 2012 23:00:00 CST.
Drawing will begin immediately after the prompt is chosen, and will end on the 14th - Writing will begin immediately after the Drawing portion is over.

Boston Bronies

Over 40 guests from all across New England attended yesterday's Boston Bronies meetup for a Christmas party hosted at Dave & Buster's in Braintree MA. We watched the premiere of "Magic Duel," raffled off MLP-themed gifts to a few lucky guests, and even shared in a MLP-themed Christmas cake! We also collected food donations for a local food shelter just outside of Boston for needy families. After the party we concluded with gaming throughout the night and even ran into an employee at D&B who was a fan of the show. His nametag read "Sonic Rainboom."

International Meetup in Austria

We're bronies from Hungary, and yesterday (December 2nd) we had an awesome meetup in Vienna, Austria. With the help of the Austrian bronies, we had a lot of fun, visited beautiful places in the city, and of course we got to know each other. This was our first meetup outside of our country, and even though a lot of us went to Vienna before, we asked our Austrian bros to help in planning the day. I also want to thank them for the navigation in the city, we would've been probably lost without them. Our bus arrived to Vienna in the morning, we walked in the Prater, went to the Hundertwasserhaus, the Stephansdom cathedral, the Hofburg Palace (unfortunately we were too broke and short on time, to go in), and we went two the Christmas Market at the Town Hall in the evening. We had a great time, we enjoyed the trip and we were really happy to meet bronies from other countries. We also made a dozen group photos :D

Teens (ages 13+) can enjoy pony-related crafts, snacks, and games and share their favorite mashups. All teens are welcome, from the most knowledgeable brony to those who are curious what the fuss is all about. We’ll also be giving away prizes for the best costumes.
