The Miracle League Fundraiser
A worthwhile fundraising even has popped up that is hoping to raise money for children with disabling conditions. They are currently asking for your help and wish to showcase two songs they hope to sell to raise money and awareness. Check out the details below:
The Miracle League of Johnston County is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing children with a range of disabling conditions the opportunity to play baseball in a supportive non-judgmental environment. This organization is currently raising funds to build a specially designed base ball field and playground to meet the needs of children with significant motor challenges. Its mission of providing opportunities for all children to play baseball regardless of the ability is very important to me because I have two children of my own with special needs, one of which plays on the league. "On the evening of Friday, 10th of August we, the bronies of Helsinki, gathered in a cozy bar known as Stone's. It was supposed to be a night of alcohol, fun and ponies, but it turned out to be much more than any of us had expected. After an hour or two of hanging out the waitress asked us if we would like to move to a bigger table. There were about a dozen of us, so naturally we accepted the offer, jokingly asking for an extension cord for our laptops too, which were being used to watch ponies with. Instead of getting an extension cord, the waitress offered to take us to the private cabinet, where we could watch ponies on a big screen!
So, for the rest of the night we watched ponies in a private cabinet, eating and drinking well, and paying no extra for it all! The thing that made the night memorable, however, were the occasions when someone mistook the cabinet door for the restroom, blundering in and stopping in confused silence, only to mouth the words "WHAT THE BUCK IS GOING ON IN HERE?!""

Bronies MKE - One Year Anniversary

One year ago, two small handfuls of people got together because they liked multicolored marshmallowy ponies. In that year, these groups grew to over 700 people, have spawned artists, writers, musicians, and even Midwestria, Chicago's premier brony convention.
Sunday, over 70 people came together to celebrate everything that this year has brought, and to ring in another amazing year to come. Food was eaten, prizes were given away, dancing was...danced, and cosplayers came from far and wide to show off their hard work.

Oakland Brony Costume Meetup

Today, we of the Oakland County Brony Association had a costume party in nearby Firefighters Park. During this meetup, we talked in character, drank Sweet Apple Acres brand apple cider, sang pony songs (much to the surprise of onlookers), and had fun enjoying each other's company in general. All of our costumes were homemade, and most of us plan on wearing them to Youmacon later in the year.
