ReplyDeleteYTPMV = YouTube Poop Music Video ( it's a YTP(YouTube Poop = humoristic video that it's goal is to make fun of a show) but, it's not humoristic anymore and became musical) = remaking of a song using samples chosen freely by author, it does not have to have ponies in it to be called YTPMV.
Golden Sun with ponies?! I am literally freaking out right now, that's one of my favorite video games!!! This is so amazing!

ReplyDeleteI thought PMV meant Pony Music Video and YTPMV meant YouTube Pony Music Video. Basically making them interchangeable terms.
However, I'm no expert and am just repeating what I've heard, which may be completely wrong.
All of these were great, but #1 is my favorite. I don't think I've ever seen one of these with a story before.
ReplyDeleteHaha. Got plenty of chuckles out of these three. I've played Yoshi's Island and Kirby, but I've never heard of Golden Sun until today. Didn't stop me from enjoying it though.

ReplyDelete#1: Holy crap. Love Yoshi's Island, and the fact that someone made that into a whole miniboss fight to go along with the music? Wow. 6/5 for being 20% cooler than it needed to be.
ReplyDelete#2: I've... never played this game, and only found out what it was by following it back to the source. Regardless, after comparing it to the original, this was VERY well nailed, and it's an incredible tune. 5/5 for an incredible rendition of a great song I never heard until today.
#3: YESSSSSS. Golden Sun music done VERY WELL. Once again, a 5/5 for a familiar, but never old tune done right with ponies.

PMV is a term derived from AMV, and yes, it means Pony Music Video.
ReplyDeleteYTPMV is a term that stands for YouTube Poop Music Video, however, it is also used as a pormentau of YTP(YouTube Poop) and PMV, which means... YouTube Poopony Music Video?
A YouTube Poop Music Video is a replica of a song made up of retuned sound clips from things of the creators choosing; a good example of one of these is Avast Fluttershy's Ass, where you can clearly tell that each clip is taken from things Fluttershy has said, as opposed to most YTPMVs, where the sound clips are one-second noises or utterances. I personally prefer it when there are audible words and you can tell what it is, but that's just me.
These are always my favorite.

ReplyDelete@iloveMLP What do you mean "like what"? It's an amazing feat of both visual and audio quality! I personally understand how hard it is to animate sprites to be juuuuuuuuust right. It's a painstaking process, and on top of that, he also did the audio! I can't see what there is to be misconstrued about this amazing video.
