ReplyDeleteIt's less about "watching them play the game" than it is about "Listening to Mic spout high-volume, random semi-stream-of-consciousness funny stuff for four hours, while random other 'brony stars' chime in occasionally."
I've got the video window minimized because I really don't care about what's actually happening in the game and I can still hear it while I do other stuff.

Do we really want this kind of stuff associated with us? Especially when there are SHOW STAFF who visit this page and might be curious about a post in all caps, front page? @Sparky Gryphon That was a very unfortunate moment you walked in on. This was my first day visiting their stream but I think it's pretty safe to say that doesn't normally happen. I don't think any of the higher ups at Hasbro would have the time of day to watch a streaming of a 20 somethings playing TF2.

Totally unrelated, but I have come to a conclusion: Equestria Daily has kinda become the Fox News of Bronyism. You give all the news, but its kinda biased, and you work your views into many things like polls and fanfiction. This isnt a bad thing, it gives your website its own personality. Just... be careful. You are the voice of Bronyism, with the potential to expand or destroy everything bronies hold dear. Like muffins.

However
Unlike Fox, when these blog ponies gaffe, they generally live up to them. And even post Oopsies posts in said cases.
They are opinionated, as everybody is. They do have standards of what does and does not get posted, and I have only seen a very few exceptions to their rules.
Bronies are wide and diverse. This blog tries to convey as much as they can while keeping it decent. I applaud them.

Not even going to comment on paraspritic people and just say that the stream was pretty funny. I didn't have a ton of time to watch it, but what I did see was a bunch of people playing TF2 and occasionally singing Disney songs.

ReplyDeleteMostly because I don't really enjoy these streams all that much, they're just too chaotic. Not to mention, you just have to get lucky to be on the site when the livestream is occuring.
Q&Neigh was amazing, and since it was a podcast I could listen to it whenever. It was slower paced and informative but still funny and entertaining.
