ReplyDeleteno Hub in Serbia makes me a saaaaad pony-panda BUT I did find out that one of our channels dubbed season 1 and now I get to enjoy ponies in my mother tongue and Im only missing 2 original MCD ponies to complete the set and rule the world! ReplyDeleteAccording to the Verizon Fios program guide, Return of Harmony 1 and 2 should have aired first. Apparently that was just a placeholder, since Hearth's Warming Eve and Feeling Pinkie Keen came first. Now it's Lesson Zero, which is the same as the guide, strangely. The guide seems to list the first 9 episodes of season 2 in order.

I had a subsitute teacher the other day that was an axact copy of Photo Finish. She had the german accent, the hair, and even glasses. Except they weren't as ridiculous looking. And she acted like her too. I was so happy.

ReplyDeleteI highly doubt it was trolls, as most casual trolls only seem to know about what I tentatively call "The Mare Do Well Incident".
Would they vote for it because it's about fashion? So is Suited for Success and that's widely considered one of the best episodes.
In addition, if trolls went out of their way to research the content of each episode in order to votebomb ones they thought we wouldn't like, then the joke's on them.
Also, I didn't really have a problem with Mare Do Well. Sure, the lesson was a bit odd, but it had good action, jokes, and references.

ReplyDeleteI don't hate any episode, and Feeling Pinkie Keen is perfectly fine in my book. The "hatred" seems to come from the lesson that seems to imply that some beliefs don't need to be justified, even though that wasn't the crew's intention.
It seems to have been attacked by Atheists who claim it supported religious faith without evidence. I'm also an Atheist, and have no problem with others beliefs, but I saw the lesson as encouraging bad logic in general. Though, Pinkie Sense clearly does exist. Perhaps a better lesson would have been Twilight accepting that Pinkie Sense is real and vowing to study it more.
