Kind of an odd, nightmarish, music video mixed with a Twilight Zone sequence. Would have liked to have Vinyl get into a scratch battle with Discord, but I guess you can't have it all.
I kinda feel sorry for Cyanide right now...

ReplyDeleteIt's a lot of things. Primarily, I wanted to see how a less conventional type of weird fiction would be received by the FiM fan community. There's a certain element of descriptive exercise to it. It was heavily inspired in feeling by the eponymous Skinny Puppy song.
All that being said, there is a definite narrative and storyline there. I feel like the linchpin is the structuring; notice that there's no dialogue in the Discorded worlds, but none in the club either. I don't want to say too much about my interpretation of events because I'd rather have people make up their own minds.
Anyway, I'm glad people seem to enjoy(?) this!

Reluctant to admit, but... what I read wasn’t as unpleasant as I thought it would be. Really shouldn’t put ‘’grimdark’’ in the tags OR labels, if the story’s goal is to be just ‘dark’ and ominous.
Also... complete ? Felt like an introduction honestly, which is a good and a bad thing, depending if there will be more or not.

I will ‘’guess’’ that the events in this part aren’t put in chronological order, to create some sort of effect... still... the timeline here, going left then right then back left, is causing some confusion.

Huhhhhh... Well... it was somewhat ‘ok’, I suppose ? The back and forth with the time was a touch confusing, and maybe not entirely desirable.
Overall, I much preferred the first part, I have to say.
