    1. Aw, from the Title I thought it was a crossover.
Oh, well. I'll read it later tonight.

Sadly, it's not power metal she goes to listen to. But it was a nice little one-shot nonetheless. I especially liked the descriptiveness of the piece.

    8. I have one problem with this fic. It was not nearly long enough to accommodate my ad hoc soundtrack. In all other aspects, though, it was great. Delightfully descriptive, to the point where I could actually assemble the aforementioned soundtrack. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to hitch a ride to the Big Easy…

I'm assuming it stated double bass in the story. Some people will never get it right it seems.

On a lighter note... dat additional tag.

    12. Um, hello. Kyletra, the writer here.

I noted some commented and I want to clarify something:

This fic was actually written a while ago, long before I had heard Word of God said she played cello. I used Double Bass because well, it fit the story. It also was affected by a video on youtube a brony had posted saying it was a Bass based off apple measurements.

Admittedly though, I've always considered Octavia a master of all things stringed, so it's rather moot in my opinion.

    13. I don't know why, but that picture just made my day...

    14. I don't really get the whole "Cello/Double Bass" debate. If you are as disciplined and talented as Tavi, you likely can play both, as well as viola and violin. I'm sure she has her favorite, but she's too talented to limit herself. On another note, I know they have a double bass, but is there a single bass? What about a triple? Someone needs to make one if not. Just for giggles.

    16. So... I read this a long time ago, back when it was first posted on fanfiction.net, and the author knows my feelings on it. Just reread it now, as it has been changed since the original posting. Consider this my revised mini-review.

Everything I said before still applies, and I absolutely love the tweaks and improvements made here. The additional descriptions really add a lot to the tone, and I saw some thoughtful little details that I don't think were there before. The whole somber feeling still remains to great effect, and the subtle emotional aspect really does add to the feel of the story as a whole. I'd definitely say that the original was improved with this update, and this deserves to be here. Glad to see it posted, and it's something refreshing and unique that more should see. Great story, and I'm very happy that it made the cut.

    17. It felt like there could have been more... The detailing was superb, but the pacing just wasn't there.

    18. Nice little story. Totally worth the read.

    19. I loved reading this. Such a shame it's only a one-shot. Or is it? With the way the author detailed the way Tavi was feeling about Coltrain...

Nevermind, it's just a flight of fancy.
