See that completely obnoxious title? Well, this PMV Pretty much shares that when it comes to effects! Get your sunglasses on, because your eyes are about to start a 6 round boxing match.
Seriously though, this is really cool. I bet it took forever. And that syncing... everything matches up perfectly.
Find it after the break.

ReplyDeleteAs much as I hate shit music like this, the PMV is badass.
ReplyDeleteKewl video.
ReplyDeletecool PMV
ReplyDeleteEww kesha, awesome vid but i didnt make it 1 min in...
ReplyDeleteI lost all ability to perceive reality right about the 2/3 mark.
ReplyDeleteWow, this is actually really, really good!
ReplyDeleteTHIS VIDEO CHANGED MY LIFE
ReplyDelete529th
ReplyDeleteI loved that, Not a fan at all of Ke$ha or that song, but that was just so incredibly unique and awesome!
ReplyDeleteThe only thing i can say is DAYUM this video is amazing
ReplyDeleteWow Seth, you weren't lying about the effects.
ReplyDeleteWhat I really like about this video was they way all the different artist styles worked together without stepping on each others' toes. It's like, I was watching one video, but I was also watching 8 videos. Pretty awesome.
Good thing I actually like this song. Made it extra amazing
ReplyDeleteMy eyes hurt.
ReplyDeleteTHIS VIDEO MADE ME A BETTER PERSON
ReplyDeleteVid, yes.
ReplyDeleteKe$ha, no.
I think I actually have another vote change to my top ten list for February. Gonna be hard to choose 10.
ReplyDeleteUse ALL the filters!
ReplyDeleteI don't like Kesha, but this was very well done. I especially like the choice of scenes and the timing.
ReplyDeleteThrow some glitter, make it rain! :) Hah...loved it.
ReplyDeleteSo many effects...
ReplyDeleteowo
ReplyDeleteNot a fan of the music but the video is amazing!
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised!
ReplyDeleteIt was definately effect and filter heavy, but it somehow...worked? I also liked the mix of show and fan content.
Though I was sort of hoping to sleep tonight...this stuff's like caffeine.
I have a headache... I shouldn't watch this... But I'm going to anyway.
ReplyDeleteMy visions about to blow ow ow ow ow ow ow!
ReplyDeleteWhat did I just watch?
ReplyDeleteOn a scale of 1 to Pony, I give this video a Double Pony.
ReplyDelete@JHaller
ReplyDeleteMust-resist-meme-reference.
It probably didnt take too long because it was a collab between like 12 people. Still, each one did a fantastic job. I'm going to agree with everypony else though that the song isnt my favorite
ReplyDeleteWow...that was...good grief that was one of the weirdest things I've ever watched!
ReplyDeleteAlthough I think it failed to affect me all that much...that bit at the end where Twilight fails to jump to safety? Yeah, that's how I felt this video did: trying but just missed the edge.
This was really good!
ReplyDeleteI have my awesome purple and pink Twilight shades ready!
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's choke full of effects alright. Song was pretty rockin'. Fun dance/club song. Video was pretty fun too. But I'm also a sucker for pretty effects.
@Lolly
ReplyDeleteWhat does it mean?!
2:30 I was waiting for a second note in the bassline for a while haha. The video must have taken ages to make, and I love it!
ReplyDeleteHmm...I didn't get too far into the video, but the first few seconds reminded me of Left 4 Dead 2, but I have a feeling I'm wrong here.
ReplyDeleteI usually don't like videos like this but this was is pretty good.
ReplyDeletegreat pmv, but god i hate kesha
ReplyDeleteThat just about makes up for the annoying title.
ReplyDeleteThat must of been months and months of work.
That was really well done. Nice to see a video that uses effects along with good timing, as opposed to in place of. Didn't really like the song though, ridiculously repetitive, and the strange timing at times was jarring. Still fun though.
ReplyDeleteThesse effects. you wernt kidding when you said your eyes will start a round 6 boxing match. this was one intense video but so well done. this was amazing and made the whole genre of music here at least 220% cooler.
ReplyDeleteMy eyes are fusterclucked right now.

ReplyDeleteI love it , just don't read the youtube coms ... so many trolls posting
ReplyDelete@themessinator You and me Bro. Damn those are some really good edition skills...
ReplyDeleteSo many Ke$ha haters here... I too used to hate Key-DollarSign-Ha, but then I took a open mind to the ear. I'm not a ardent fan now, but I can defiantly rock out to her songs when they're on. What a wonderfully collaborative PMV and great song choice!
ReplyDeleteWhat I don't get about the video is, if you have that much talent in editing, why would waste it with such an awful song? The video itself is VERY impressive, but that SONG!
ReplyDeleteMy brain was just raped. I demand more. Not so much the song, it was kinda meh. But the animation and all the weird effects. . .Like an acid trip on sterroids paired with a caffeine overdose.
ReplyDeleteThat's okay...
ReplyDeleteI didn't really need my eyes anyways...
mind = blown
ReplyDeleteDefinitely recognized a number of Ponies: the Anthology contributors among the people making the video (including the creators of the award-winning opening that spoofs Kanye West's "Power").
ReplyDeleteAlso, be sure to read the description on Youtube for a nice surprise.
What the hell was all of that? HOW did all of that amount to MONTHS of work? It all just looked like it was jumbled together with edited screen effects! It really made no sense whatsoever. Plus that and the song was just annoying, which didn't help at all. I think that video was just an excuse to lose MORE brain cells than what you'd usually lose watching some funny internet video MINUS ponies.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, that really didn't make any sense. Plus, what the hell is with the title? I mean, jesus! I don't think you need to overstyle the title of the video, it's not like it's gonna affect the internet at any time!
Everytime I see a PMV or AMV with a Ke$ha song I always go... "erhm, maybe?" and then I watch it and love it. Great collab job PMV makers!
ReplyDeleteOutstanding
ReplyDelete@Coolblue The best way to understand the idea of the effects is to keep in mind that this is a MEP (multi-editor project) dance video. In these videos, different editors are assigned to different parts of the song, with each one utilizing his/her own different editing style for that section.
ReplyDeleteAs for the effeccts: from my experience watching various AMV's, MEP dance videos usually have flashy effects to make it feel like a dance club.
Coolblue : FUCK YEAH + 1
ReplyDeleteSeriously what that ? It's really a track of shiropoint the editor of shine like rarity or Strive Like Applejack ? Oo i don't see other video with other editors of different track... but this not this PMV that will push me to do...
Im in the community of amv from 7 years and ok the clip create with MLP are not good... but that seriously ? Totaly noob ! Random effect, bad synchronization, no consistency between tracks...
I do not ask you all about using AE, but LEARN the basics of editing !
And yes i'm editing amv, search versus project on youtube, it's my last (old) work, but it is representative of what I mean. Or search qwaqa, dna or nostromo if you are not certain of what I say.
Probably no one's gonna see this comment, but I'll leave it here anyway. This was a pretty incredible video and a great song to boot (yes, I do listen to some Ke$ha. Flame if you'd like.) I can see why some people wouldn't like such a video. But at least give everyone that collaborated props. Considering how many people worked on it, I can sort of see why it would take a while to finish. So much has to mesh together well.
ReplyDeleteLong story short, I truly enjoyed this video. Bravo to everyone that worked on it.
+1. Im a sucker for colorful, and this video has oodles
ReplyDeleteI'm also disappointed that this was not given the "Awesomecore" PMV tag. It had everything (and more) than the last one.
ReplyDeleteVideo editing is awesome. Good job!
ReplyDeleteNot avavible in Germany. Goddammit.
ReplyDeleteRather nice analogy for the bronies and internet, in a way. Or maybe I'm just crazy.
ReplyDeleteEPIC! people who suffer from epilepsy beware!
ReplyDeleteWow great editing in this video.
ReplyDeleteBut Ke$ha...
Ugh.
I've seen a lot better to be honest. This was another one of those 'throw every effect into this video ever' kind of thing. And the music is horror in my ears. Sorry, I can like PMVs with lots of effects, just not this one.
ReplyDeleteCheck out this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7k3pubdumw&list=FLos4QixPfVZvHAd0EgiEAeQ&index=67&feature=plpp_video - It's a lot better, has less annoying/OTT effects, the scenes match up well to the lyrics. Sadly there's still an 'obnoxious' title though. I don't mind them personally but they do look pretty childish and silly at times.
Also I only just noticed part of this was made by Shiropoint. What the hell?! Shiropoint made those *amazing* videos like Strive Like Applejack... And his part in this looked *so* half-arsed! :/
ReplyDeleteGood video, terrible music choice.
ReplyDeleteKe$ha is best pony
ReplyDeleteReminds me of the time I consumed shrooms.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was going to be Atreyu at first, and I was salivating anticipating the irony. Then Kesha... Ugh... Really good effects though.
ReplyDeleteI hate Kesha. All the cool effects in Equestria ain't gonna change that.
ReplyDeleteWhen this was first posted I watched, thought it was crazy/weird fun, but then moved on not expecting to give it much thought ever again. This is not the kind of music I would normally choose to listen to, but confound these ponies they continue to broaden my media horizons. By itself the song still isn't much to me, but combined with those visuals ... they speak on a level, and likely language, that I can't even try to comprehend, yet I know whatever it is they represent it is amazingly awesome.
ReplyDeleteThis video is just fun on some kind of visceral level, and I've since downloaded a copy so I can enjoy that sensation whenever the mood fancies me.
