Someone tossed this up on Ponibooru from one of those random foreign pony magazines, specifically a French one in this case. It was translated by Kole in the comments section:
And Rarity finally walks in the ball room like a fairy princess !I guess Alicorns are becoming commonplace!
But as she gets near to the prince’s throne, she discovers … a 4 years old little pony! « Let me introduce you Leon, my little cousin. » announces Celestia.
« Today, I’ve been impressed by the strength of your dreams and by the sacrifice you made to realize Rarity’s. As a reward, I’m inviting you at a private banquet. Rarity, you’ll be able to dance all night long with … my nephew Vladimir. I heard you’d like to meet him, wouldn’t you? » The princess adds with a smirk.
There isn't a whole lot of other information on it, but it looks pretty legit from what I have seen of these magazines (Very basic vectors and edits).
(We can't link ponibooru here, it tends to die a horrible death every time)
\Thanks to Jones for the heads up!

ReplyDeleteSo Many Alicorns
ReplyDeleteLooks like a tiny Prince Blueblood
ReplyDeleteAlso, Rarity looks so pretty *.*
Welp, more justification for shitty alicorn OCs.
ReplyDeleteLooks an awful lot like Blueblood...
ReplyDeleteAwesome and first. GIOB!
ReplyDeleteVladimir? FOR THE MOTHERLAND
ReplyDeleteWhoa.. Really?
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I don't think these sort of things are canon until they appear in the show itself.
ReplyDeleteSo Blueblood is called Vladimir in french?
ReplyDeleteKinda badass.
Leon is NOT an alicorn name. But anyway, the story of Read it and Weep was spoiled a few months ago in the german magazine. This could be legit.
ReplyDeleteWait Vladimir? All Rarity vampire fanfics are now canon.
ReplyDeleteCousin? That leads to interesting trains of thought. Parents, specifically.
ReplyDeleteStrange though that I didn't see it on Ponibooru earlier.
I wanna hug him
ReplyDeleteI actually don't like the idea of a whole royal family. Especially with jerks like Blue Blood.
ReplyDeleteLast time i checked Rarity wanted to kick Blue B*sqee*tch Flank
ReplyDelete(We can't link ponibooru here, it tends to die a horrible death every time)
ReplyDeletelol
Not canon till it's in the show for me, and I hope it is never in:O
Rarity and Blueblood?
ReplyDeleteI thought Rarity wanted Blueblood dead, just about?
Heh... Prince Leon.
ReplyDeleteWell, we'll see. The Ipad ap storybook actually ended up being based on the backstory to "Hearthswarming Eve" even though it came out months before the episode, so maybe the people behind the storybook above had access to materials related to the show.
Unless Blueblood has a twin brother, though, I suspect they were making things up as they went along.
@TheRike42
ReplyDeleteAnd the story of Hearth's Warming Eve was spoiled in the iOS app, despite people playing it off as "not in the show, so not canon".
I guess we shouldn't take these vector-based magazines into the canon of the show. I like that Blueblood vector a lot for some reason.
ReplyDeleteno pwease. how come celestia nad luna lives for 1000 years etc etc...alicorns are mytical creatures, almost demigod for what we understand from the show... if hasbro wants to add an alicorn i hope he will born (from?!) under some epic circumstances. that is material for episode 1 of third season, the can't just canonbomb us that way
ReplyDeleteHooray! Blueblood, after "Sweet and Elite" I knew you and Rares had worked out your differences and would end up together. Best picture ever. :)
ReplyDeleteTime for all the '2 Alicorns only' ragers to show
ReplyDeleteThose old overused pictures ruin the relative quality of the image.
ReplyDeleteThe little alicorn even has Blueblood's cutie mark...
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one who is awfully confused?
Personally i welcome our new adorable colt Alicorn overlord
ReplyDelete@Inconspicularity
ReplyDeleteIn a way, id rather have one of these than yet another 'demon' OC with a red/black color palette, but meh, as long as they're not shoved down my throat...
This could be interesting, in all honesty.
Baby royal alicorn with cutie mark and human name... I don't care how cute he is, I don't like it.
ReplyDeleteI'm a filly and what is this.
ReplyDeleteBut no really, more Alicorns? I refuse to accept this until they appear in the show, and then I will cry in a corner.
wait this can't be canon, he doesn't even original cutie mark >_>
ReplyDeleteI'm of the opinion that any sort of story done by the show and done by these comics do not communicate with each other much. They just share vectors and a vague bit of the show. A new writer over there just adds something cutesy and tada. I wouldn't hold anything they do, cute or otherwise as canon. I'd be money on the left hand simply not know what the right hand is doing or cares to.
ReplyDeleteI don't know... is this to be considered canon? I doubt that. Even Cadence isn't fully canon to me, not until it appears in the show.
ReplyDeleteWhat the french?
ReplyDeleteThese foreign magazines are so terrible :D
fuck this shit.
ReplyDelete*storms off*
LEAVE OUR CANON ALONE.
Woah what the hay, bit out of the blue, though liking Prince Bluebloods French name.
ReplyDeleteWHAT IS AN ALICORN?
ReplyDeleteUntil any of these other alicorns are in the show they might as well not even exist as far as I'm concerned.
ReplyDeleteAw... poor Twilight. Apparently she didn't get to go to the ball. Even Spike's there.
ReplyDeleteI'm sticking to the show. Outside that, I don't give a damn.
ReplyDelete@Derpmind
ReplyDelete"Alicorn" is the fan name for Celestia's and Luna's breed of pony... those that have both wings and a unicorn horn.
The first maleicorn!
ReplyDeleteI don't see how this could become canon, since Rarity hates Blueblood. Also, canon mention of age? The CMCs and the Mane 6 don't even have that. Pound and Pumpkin only had it because it was relevant to the plot. Why would they go out of their way to say that "Leon" was four?
Leon has eyelashes, he cannot be male.
Sorry if this doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
>Rarity and Bluebood are in the same room and not trying to murder each other, and in fact seem to be enjoying each other's company.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't trust this. At all.
OMG, I live in France, hope I'll find this freakin' magazine ! (And If I find it, I'll make HD scans of the story for you guys :megustaface: )
ReplyDelete[Perfect Dark goon]: IMPOSTER!
ReplyDeleteIs Celestia's mane missing some color(s)?
And AJ is without hat as always. I wonder why no one ever bothers to fix that.
Prince Vladimir Blueblood? I'm alright with that.
ReplyDeleteAlso, what's with the dancing on their hind hooves?
ReplyDeleteThere is only one thing I want out of this to appear in the show.
ReplyDeleteRarity and Blueblood full dancing sequence. And they swing insults at eachother all the way through it.
It's just a foreign magazine. *Shrug*
ReplyDelete@wackypony You mad brony? I for one welcome our new 4 year old overlord. Besides, Blueblood and Rarity are such a great pair, they just need the canon time to build upon their relationship.
ReplyDeleteThat's it, it's over, now begins the march of crappy throwaway Alicorn characters.
ReplyDeleteMy issue with such things like this is the same issue I have with Light sabers in the Star Wars prequels.
Before extremely rare, when one came out you knew something big was about to go down. Now, "Alicorn, alicorn, look another alicorn and there's an alicorn in the bathroom handing you a towel when you're done."
Can't take one step without bumping into an alicorn! They lose the mystery and magic Celestia and Luna have when you introduce so many.
At four years old, he already has his cutie mark?
ReplyDeleteLEON! HELP!!!
ReplyDeleteI can see that comming.
@Tricky-Step
ReplyDeleteyes, because Alicorns are overpowered and add nothing new or exciting.
Celestia and Luna pulled it off because they've ruled over Equestria for 1000+ years. These new alicorns can all go burn.
I remember there was that animation error resulting in a filly alicorn in lesson zero. apparently, all the models are made with a unicorn and a pegasus version, and it is easy to manipulate.
ReplyDeletemy guess is the people making the print here just stuck the wings on him because they thought he should be an alicorn.
my guess is this in't canon to the show. also, calling ythen names like vlad and leon... yeah.
@11monkeys
ReplyDeleteThen a four year old Alicorn saves the world from Las Plagas.
Vladimir
ReplyDeleteLeon
Now all we need are Josef, Nikita, Leonid, Yuri, and Mikhail.
Why i dont consider this is going to be canon?
ReplyDeleteNext reasons:
1- Too much Alicorns
2- The little Alicorn vector looks like a Rainbow Dash vector with a horn and already has his Cutie Mark that look exactly like Blue B*sqee*tch Cutie Mark
3- Last time i checked Rarity wanted to kick Blue B*sqee*tch Flank
4- Celestia's Mane
5- Spike seen his secret love dancing with a jerk and doing NOTHING? wut?!
Vladimir Blueblood? That's actually kind of awesome, though it is obviously not a pony name.
ReplyDeleteYou guys, Rarity was standing right next to Blueblood like they were best buds in Sweet and Elite, I don't think that's the biggest upset here. Leon, on the other hoof...
ReplyDeleteVladimir? I died and went to communist pony hell?
ReplyDeleteSrsly, one more alicorn and we're ddosing hasbro :<
(j/k ofc)
At this point I'm pinning my hopes on Cadence and these other potential alicorns being part of a "story within a story"-style episode, like Daring-Do or Hearth's Warming. I can't think of any other plausible scenario that preserves the awesomeitude of Celestia and Luna.
ReplyDeleteIt's possible the writers will surprise me, of course, but I'm very nervous indeed.
Alicorn inflation.
ReplyDeleteFirst they (falsely) announced Celestia to be the only one with horn and wings, now EVERYPONY will be an alicorn soon.
What happened?
Do they spawn somewhere? Did project Unity work? Has all the Celestia and Luna shipping caused this?
@Justin
ReplyDeleteTell me about it. Who said there can only be two alicorns? And least we forget, wouldn't Celestia and Luna also have parents themselves? Who are probably also alicorns?
Really, calm the heck down, people. It's just a silly magazine with filler content. And even if a new alicorn shows up in the show, it's not the end of the world. We went through this whole song and dance about worrying about the quality of the show with Discord and Lesson Zero and those turned out just fine.
I'm sure alicorns are still rare, just not *as* rare as people expect.
Besides, just how many alicorn fan characters (I reused to use the term "OC" because FIM fan characters are not original characters) are there? There's Nyx and there's two or three fics that talk or show Celestia and Luna having parents and... that's it, I think. I can't think of alicorn fan character beyond those examples.
I think people are getting worked up on a problem that doesn't even exist.
This does make me wonder if the little alicorn that showed up in Twilight's Magic Kindergarten freak-out was actually a complete mistake, or if they already had the little alicorn asset for animating in another episode and the only mistake was showing it before its time.
ReplyDeleteWell, since the most famous Vladimir is an... a wonderful person... a guess that would make sense. ^^"
ReplyDeleteWhat's next? Mary Sue, bearer of hidden seventh Element of Harmony?
ReplyDeleteI hope all this crap would not make it into the show. Even if it does, I would not accept it as canon and lots of other bronies would do the same. It's just beyond ridiculous!
@FreezingShock
ReplyDeleteWell, there are human names in the show. Gilda and Tom come to mind. You're right though about those names not applying to ponies, though.
Haha!!! Stuffed Rabbit lives!!
ReplyDelete@wackypony I'm just teasing :3
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I don't see this affecting anything. I would be surprised if it did squirm its way into canon events. It seems most likely that a foreign magazine just got a little silly with one of their adventure stories and produced this without taking themselves seriously. Also taking into account how rabid some bronies can be, I can already see angsty emails being typed up at this moment and bombarding Hasbro about this story. This won't survive long.
@LacionARG
ReplyDelete1) Too many alicorns for whom? For us? Who cares!
2) Don't too much attention for the plot of the series or anything we call canon - merch comes first
:P
Wow, he even looks like a colt version of Prince Blueba-I mean Blueblood, but with wings as well. Hell, even the cutie mark's the same, but that could be the image quality playing tricks on me.
ReplyDeleteALL HAIL LORD SOLARIS!
ReplyDeleteI don't see Rarity dancing with Prince Douchenozzle anytime soon.
ReplyDeleteBTW in the French version of the show his name is still Blueblood, as every other character he keeps his original name... WHY VLADIMIR ? D:
ReplyDeleteLittle guy is pretty cute, though.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I'm not sure if millennia-old elemental god princesses should 'smirk'.
Rarity looks awesome there, but the whole humanised dancing thing is weirding me out. As are the vectorised versions of the rest of the mane six in the background.
Rarity's basically dancing weirdly with a guy she hates, surrounded by her friends. Who've been lobotomised.
@Shantara
ReplyDeletehttp://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/FanDumb
Purist much? Sorry, but show cannon trumps your head cannon. Period.
I expect that this magazine thing has about as much in common with the show and its canon as the assorted comics based on videogames that were commonplace during the 90s had with their source material: i.e., they share a franchise name and characters, and that's pretty much it.
ReplyDeleteI'll accept as canon every single comic in deviantArt before this one. xD
ReplyDelete@wackypony
ReplyDeleteSo, they can't have a good personality, ever? Seriously? You've been posting here for quite some time, I would had thought you had more faith in the show than that.
As for the 'overpowered' argument, who cares? We've been shown over and over that while some pony races are technically more advantaged than others, it still isn't enough to cause a divide. Alicorns are still rare enough to prove that while they're technically demi-gods, that still doesn't mean they're a master race.
Just enjoy the damn show, the best way to ruin your expectations is to blow them out of proportions.
Well, at least it's a male this time. There was beginning to be something of an undertone of sexism with Cadence...
ReplyDeleteStill though... I can't help but be thoroughly against this for most of the same reasons that I am against Cadence.
@Sothalic
ReplyDeleteI just met you but I already like you. You have the right attitude about all of this.
Show =/= Magazines, especially foreign ones.
ReplyDelete(I'm french btw :D)
This scene is the exact opposite of what we've seen in the show... I'm not considering girly royal princesses and stuff like that as canon.
Look at the text, it's like Applejack always wanted to be at Celestia's private banquet, that's definitely not canon.
We want ponies, not little princesses or whatever.
Now that i re-think everything we are doing this bigger than it is so lets calm down with this its just a comic from a magazine so lest just wait and see the show :)
ReplyDeleteWe are not seriously treating what shows up in the random magazines as canon, are we?
ReplyDeleteThey feel terribly disjoint from the show altogether.
Wasn't there alread a child alicorn in Twilight's Magic Kindergarten flashback? Or are we counting that as Twilight imagening things?
ReplyDeleteOh god, what is happening? Maybe if we could at least get some history to the alicorns and the royal family this wouldn't cause such a crapstorm.
ReplyDeleteBut introducing new ones when we don't even know what is up with the current ones is stupid.
I call bullshit on this until it is actually in the fucking show.
ReplyDeleteThey haven't even introduced Cadence yet for God's sake...
GWARGLE. This being cannon would ruin so much fannon. it cannot be. (though a new male alicorn would be boss)
ReplyDeleteGuys, we should all just take the pill of chilling and just wait a bit. I don't know what will happen because of a magazine giving us an alicorn, but I doubt that much will come of it. Just keep calm and be 20% cooler.
ReplyDelete@Yellow 13
ReplyDeleteYea, they tried to create a coherent universe, and adding alicorns everywhere is just ruining it.
Unless we get decent explanations.
i don't trust foreign magazines, things get way out of hand between translation.
ReplyDeletemaybe this is a dream sequence, and Rarity is having a nightmare.
either way i'm not counting scootaloos before they hatch
@L.A.I.M.
ReplyDeleteit was an animation error
Will vlad shoot blood everwere? (LoL ref)
ReplyDeleteI have to admit, though... while the stories for Read it and Weep and Hearth's Warming were kinda spoiled in magazines beforehand... this one is a bit harder to believe.
ReplyDeleteNamely because of Blueblood. I'm sorry, but the lines "you wanted to meet my nephew" and the whole part about them dancing. While his quick appearance in Sweet and Elite was more than a little odd, it could be explained away by false politeness and civility on both the parts of Rarity and Blueblood to maintain an image in front of other aristocrats.
That said, giving him a big, attention calling role like this? Having him outright dance with Rarity? I don't think they could get away with that without spending upwards of the whole episode addressing the previous encounter and working to fix Blueblood's attitude or something.
@Soph93
ReplyDeleteWas it actually confirmed to be an animation error, or are we assuming it was?
@Sothalic
ReplyDeleteIt's not that they can't, i just think that they'd have to have an episode or two devoted to them for them to have any true personality. Which i wouldn't want to happen.
I don't see what the big deal is about more Alicorns, so long as they do it right. Leon's freakin cute though.
ReplyDelete@MyBoyJ
ReplyDeleteIt was confirmed.
http://www.ponibooru.org/post/view/71640?search=pluto
1.
ReplyDelete2. This really does raise questions about pony genetics.
Stupid forign magizens
ReplyDeleteNephew = Luna's son
ReplyDeletelolwut
I guess we could assume that Alicorns are a rare breed of Pony?
ReplyDeleteHm...blogger doesn't like the angle brackets. My post was meant to say [Insert cereal guy spitting out his cereal here.]
ReplyDelete@Lostcause
ReplyDeleteOk, thanks.
1 where is twilight
ReplyDelete2 where is AJ's hat
3 why are they standing like that
4 the whole pic is creepy
@Derpmind
ReplyDeleteNothing but a miserable pile of magic!
I thought that I was the first to make a male Alicorn OC? I guess more could be on their way!
ReplyDelete"There isn't a whole lot of other information on it, but it looks pretty legit"
ReplyDeleteseems legit
They really dont have more than 1 vector for 1 pony!? Bah, whatever.
ReplyDeleteApplederp strikes again !
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking that there's a teir of alicorns below Celestia and Luna, hence Cadence.
ReplyDeleteI also think that the problem here is people being overprotective of fanon even as it's being trumped by canon.
@L.I.A.M.
I'm guessing the alicorn in Lesson Zero was Twilight's imagination, even though (I think) that was confirmed to be an animation error.
My main concern is not violation of estalished canon and fanon per se, but with it being done in a lame way. Luna in Luna Eclipsed didn't fit the common fanon very closely, but it added great things. Cadence, on the other hand... so far everything we know about her suggests pretty pretty princess, the exact thing we love the show for not being. Hence my concern.
ReplyDelete(We can't link ponibooru here, it tends to die a horrible death every time)
ReplyDelete>Won't stop people going there from google anyways
And lo did the fandom scream as yet more fanfics were thrown into the fires of 'non canon'.
ReplyDeleteFrankly i don't mind having more Alicorns. And a male one is very welcome. The may i see it though i think the royal family are all mostly Alicorns but only Luna and Celestia have crazy power. Other like blueblood or my fiance married into the family and as such are not Alicorns (Or in bluebloods case adopted?)
Rarity looks very beautiful in that dress.
ReplyDelete@Alexander XCIII
ReplyDeleteRandom stories in foreign magazines that have nothing to do with the show are in no way canon.
This is most likely just the work of some company Hasbro outsourced these magazines to who thought it would make a good story to include another alicorn for no reason who just so happens to look virtually identical to Blueblood, or should I say Vladimir?
I for one accept our new male alicorn, if it turns out to be canon
ReplyDeleteI just produced enough what's to solve the energy crisis
ReplyDeleteI consider this alternate universe canon. What would have happened if the Gala didn't suck.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Prince Vladimir Blueblood does have a nice ring to it.
I must admit, I'm getting a bit nervous here. True, so far the writers haven't let us down (quite the opposite, in fact), but ever since Cadence was unveiled there is this niggling doubt at the back of my mind in regards to the future of the show.
ReplyDeleteWell, only time will tell. I fully expect my fears to be proven wrong, but the threat to the mystery of the alicorns yet looms. ... God, that last sentence reads like such nerdy hyperbole it hurts.
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteI dunno about you guys, but I think Leon and Vladimir are both kind of like Prince Blueblood. Just not as snooty. ;)
ReplyDeleteIt's the continued theater of the absurd pony vectors style.
ReplyDeleteThe ability of this fanbase to freak out over nothing never ceases to amaze me.
ReplyDeleteKeep calm and canter on, people. If it's not in the show, it's not canon (or "official", as the wiki seems to like to hide behind), and it's not relevant to us.
I'm fine with more alicorns (would really like to see a canon male) as long as they don't just magically appear out of nowhere. Like for Cadence, I'm hoping for at least a mention of her wedding in the episodes leading up to it with some info on her, or better yet, some history on the alicorns and royal family line.
ReplyDeleteWait, this just brought something up here, Rarity once said that Blueblood was somewhat the nephew to Celestia... am I seriously the only one thinking that he's Luna's son?
ReplyDeleteIMPOSSIBRU
ReplyDeleteI don't know, to laugh, or to cry...
@Shantara
ReplyDeleteFunny story, in The Elements of Rationality short, (since rationality is the new thing apparently), Mary Susan was the Element of Peer Review, but was burned to a crisp by Nightmare Moon, leaving the rest of the rational elements helpless without her. Happy end.
@Forest Thundertred
ReplyDeleteI think Lauren Faust addressed that very question by saying that "nephew" was a misnomer.
Blueblood is not Luna's son but he is somehow related to Celestia and Luna.
Can't really trust any kind of media but the show itself when it comes to canon characters. Also a lot of the ponies shown are copied old vectors. If not, you might as well identify any of the Hasbro toys as canon characters. Do you want that?
ReplyDelete^Unicorn Royalty line, maybe?
ReplyDeleteAnyway, so long as they don't come out of nowhere, it could be an interesting worldbuilder.
God I hope this isn't canon, bringing in a new Alicorn before giving Luna another episode is so not cool.
ReplyDelete@Forest Thundertred Only issue is, when would have she had the time?
ReplyDeleteFor that matter, when would have Celestia had the time?
Plus, theme of the show they'd have to be married before having kids, no longer a princess at that point. Giving Luna or Celestia children brings about a whole bunch of problem in my opinion.
Unfortunately, explanation for Blueblood is, one of Celestia's relatives who more likely are Alicorns.
In conclusion, Blueblood has once again ruined, "The Best Night Ever."
One never knows what kernel of truth there might be in these sorts of things. I didn't expect "Twilight Sparkle Teacher for a Day" to have anything to do with the show originally, but then Hearth's Warming Eve came along.
ReplyDeleteLooks too much like Blueblood.
ReplyDeleteReally though I think they may have just tacked wings onto him to make him important for the magazine since they've all been a little odd.
I am interested to see what they do with Cadence and whatnot though seeing as they will be properly developed, at least I hope so.
I hope it's not canon. I don't want Alicorns to becomee common.
ReplyDeleteWhat the hell? A male alicorn? Get lost!
ReplyDeleteThis totally ruins the show. Hope it's not real! It's just a bloody fanfic side story!
"like a fairy princess"?
ReplyDeleteMagazine. Yeah, as canon as pink Celestia.
ReplyDeleteReminds me how I like that our community is made up of sane people who aren't afraid to judge something based on their true view.
My take on the whole this is that Princess Luna um, "reincarnated" Prince Blueblood after she found out that he was the product of massive inbreeding. Apparently entities named Luna are capable of doing this. I saw it happen once in a video game.
ReplyDeleteDont you love how the rest of the mane 6 look like they were the victims of copying and pasting?
ReplyDelete@Altherix
ReplyDeleteI always had the idea that Celestia and Luna were incapable of having children, as kind of a trade off for immortality and deity-like power.
*ducks away from alicorn discussion*
ReplyDeleteI give the name Vladmir my stamp of approval. Does it fit the style of most other pony names? Nope. Does that make it any less awesome? Nope.
What heresy is thi...oh he is just precious.
ReplyDeleteRarity imagining dancing with Blueblood? RAAAAAAEEEGGGG!!!!!
ReplyDelete@Batty Gloom
ReplyDelete>Who said there can only be two alicorns?
Well, Lauren did, for one:
ponibooru.413chan.net/post/view/113326
I'm not super upset about it or anything, but this whole new "royal family" line of characters seems to be the first big push to insert toys into the show that could risk conflicting with previously established canon. I mean, we were first introduced to Cadence and Shining Armor from a Hasbro event (not through Studio B or any of the writers or anything), just like with the train, which is now practically shoved in our faces every few episodes.
With the train, the writers handled it well, however. So I hope to be proven wrong of course.
He is cute. I like him. Don't bully him.
ReplyDeleteInteresting...
ReplyDelete*smirk* Applejack's pretending to show off some apples in the ballroom. I mean, it's that particular vector!
So Celestia has another nephew named Vladimir who looks just like Blueblood who Rarity also has a crush on? :P
ReplyDeleteI don't really take the magazines for canon or anything, so...it doesn't bother me that they included another alicorn. He's kinda cute anyway c: He's basically a filly alicorn Blueblood, by the looks of it. XD
That's odd, is Vladmir his name in the French version?
ReplyDeleteI don't really think of the comic's as being canon however I may just decide to accept Vladimir' as Blueblood's first name. It at least get's past head canon.
ReplyDeleteNot sure what to think of the alicorn nephew. On one hand the idea of more alicorn is kinda weird and as mentioned before I don't really consider the comics canon, on the other hand I really like the idea of Aunty Luna and Aunty Celestia, it just sounds so sweet.
Spike: baby dragon.
ReplyDeleteLeon: 4 year old colt.
Blueblood has a child brain...
OMG! RARITY IS A PEDOPHILE!!
@InfinityDash
ReplyDeleteWell, she did say " *if* it were up to me". But I think she kind of gave up that right when she left the show, you know?
Unless I'm proven wrong, I think the show writers can take any crazy idea Hasbro gives them and do something great with it. While I didn't watched the show for myself until last March, I did found out about it when it was still a project in the works. I didn't think anything good could come out of a franchise like "My Little Pony" but, like so many others, I was proven wrong. This isn't the end of the world; this is just filler, harmless, silly, even cute filler that won't affect the show one way or another.
Personally, I think this Candence is either Celestia and Luna's mother (via a flashback) or just a fairy tale in the same vein of Daring-do.
I miss last March when the fandom didn't overreact to every little thing and knew what "Love and Tolerate" meant. Those were good times.
i approve of this new alicorn
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDelete@Norrikan
ReplyDeleteShut up. Seriously, just shut up. People like you are fucking irritating. You're worried for the future of the show based on a leaked image of a character that you know absolutely nothing about? Why not find something worth worrying about: school, life, work, family. Don't spend your time worrying about the future of a show and insulting the capabilities of the writers by fearing for the future of it based on zero evidence.
Nobody knows shit about Cadence. If you're going to play the whole 'Other Alicorns ruin the canon' then Jesus Christ.
SWEET CELESTIA
ReplyDeletehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umDr0mPuyQc
@Batty Gloom
ReplyDeleteAlso we don't even know if this is canon yet or not, so freaking out isn't helpful at all, and even if it is again I fail to see how we can dismiss characters based on their pony race. As long as the characters are well developed why should we hate them otherwise.
It's from one of those crappy comics the foreign magazines have for filler, I highly doubt it has much of a chance of getting into the show.
ReplyDeleteI see no new Alicorn here: just prince Blueblood with wings as a filly.
ReplyDelete...which means he must've lost them in some horrible accident at some point...0_0
Hi, I'm the one who uploaded it, I guess you need some details there there.
ReplyDeleteFirst thing is, the french magazine makes a lot of mistakes. I'm not even sure Hasbro reads it.
This page is the last one of a short comic basically screwing all the 25th episode.
In this comic, the mane 6 arrives at the Gala. Celestia tells Rarity that she'll sit by her side, with the Prince too. But Rarity is stressed and she asks her friends for help. They're already enjoying theirselves, drawing birds (Fluttershy) or tasting hors d'oeuvres to copy them (Applejack). So Rarity's a little upset, but her friends decide to take over their free time to help her in various ways, like composing music or teaching dance. Then the last page.
So yeah it's pretty much bullshit all over. Not to be taken seriously.
Still, Leon is awesome as hay.
Krosis...
ReplyDeleteLa Française recevoir tout le cool choses.
Inafter 'Not ANOTHER F-buy some apples! Alicorn!'
Yeah...just because it's in a random French magazine, does not mean it'll be in the show EVER.
ReplyDeleteThere should be a "weird foreign magazine" tag for posts like this, so we don't all go oatmeal because they glued some wings on Blueblood and created a time paradox duplicate.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I think it may be beneficial if this article didn't have such a sensationalistic title... something like "Unknown Male Alicorn Shows Up in French Pony Magazine" may be better than "New MALE Alicorn?" which kind of implies that this is a confirmed new character.
ReplyDelete@MyBoyJ I agree. If it isn't on the show, we shouldn't be arguing about it. Just like the Hasbro toys they keep getting wrong.
ReplyDeleteLooks like an alicorn version of Blueblood.
ReplyDelete@moocow1452
ReplyDeleteI've read MoR before discovering ponies and completely forgot about that omake. Reread it now and had a good laugh. Thanks for pointing this out! :)
butthurt, butthurt everywhere.
ReplyDeleteAh, Prince Vladimir Blueblood... I wondered why I hadn't seen an update of that fan fic where he tries to redeem himself so Rarity will go back out with him... obviously it worked! Well in my head canon anyway....
ReplyDeletethe show and the toyline are different animals... remember if everything in the toyline was true... we would have a dark pink Celestia and all the ponies would only have a cutie mark on 1 side. The toys grow in numbers to produce more sales "gotta catch em all!" if it doesn't appear in the show its not cannon.
ReplyDeleteThey can produce a 100 alicorns but if only 2 are ever in the show then there are ONLY 2. Next thing you know a sewer worker named Ralph the great great grandson of Frank the butcher which was the brother of Seth the great uncle of Celestia appears in the toyline... all alicorns which none appear to even be connected to royalty.
Disgusting, Blueblood should not be with Rarity, we have established that he is a jackass.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like Vladimir(Awesome name) Blueblood had some kind of affair with some Alicorn.
ReplyDeleteSo basically alicorns are aristocrats. That live thousands of years
ReplyDelete...unless Leon is the reason Shining Armour HAS to marry Cadance/ Cadence
ReplyDeleteLet the Hasbro and the Europeans run the franchise into the ground. We Americans and Canadians got it right.
ReplyDeleteOh,let the Resident Evil jokes begin.
ReplyDeleteNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
ReplyDeleteTHIS KILLS THE CONCEPT OF EVERY ALICORN FIC!
@Masquerade I don't think "The French woman to receive the whole cool things" is what you meant to say. ^^
ReplyDeleteThe weirdest thing about this page is the way Rarity and Blueblood are dancing. FiM ponies are not supposed to be this humanoïd.
@Dancingmad
ReplyDeleteWay ahead of you.
I really don't consider these comics canon. They're about as legit as fanfics and are just little one offs. Only the show can provide OMGITSREAL moments for me.
ReplyDeleteUggggh! I gave it a one star. :P I dislike Blueblood with great intensity. He and Rarity do not belong together.
ReplyDeleteMALE alicorn? An alicorn... that's male?
ReplyDeleteThis seems somewhat blasphemous.
I'm going to start believing in different levels of canon/continuity.
There's the show and then there's the toyline. These two are related but not necessarily the same. They're like alternate universes.
Not trying to sound like I'm a river in Egypt, but it seems like the Friendship Is Magic has layers to it. Things can be true in the toys and not in the show. Like pink Celestia and hat-less Applejack. Or Pinkie Pie conducting a train (Celestia forbid). Unless these all come to pass in the show, then I'll accept it.
@hyreia
ReplyDeleteI don't think any of us consider these comics to be canon. The toyline CERTAINLY is not canon, everything from Pinkestia and Cheerilee's wrong cutie mark to "Berry Shine" and baby Pinkie Pie.
The show is the only source of canon. Well, aside from the words of Mother Faust, holy is her name.
Seriously though, if it's not on the show, it isn't canon.
>foreign comics
ReplyDelete>canon
HAHAHAHAHA no.
@hyreia
ReplyDeleteActually, that's a very healthy way to think about it. Heck, we, the fans, make our own layers and alternate realities to the show nearly every day: they're called fan fiction and fan comics.
That is what these comics basically are: corporate fan fiction that doesn't affect the main show story line.
To be honest, first glance, I thought that would be Rairty and Blueblood's kid or something, and the name Vladimir? Really? Vladimir? Upon reading Vladimir, i thought of Vladimir, the Crimson Reaper from League of Legends, I think they could have picked a better name for the new prince

@MyBoyJ I can actually get behind that, immortal and cosmic power but can't have children.
ReplyDeleteWould explain why Celestia likes to address everyone as, "My Little Ponies" beyond the size difference.
So Prince Blueblood is Prince Vladimir Blueblood?
ReplyDeleteThat mini pony er Alicorn has all of Blueblood's colors, design, including the cutie mark! Oo I am confused...?
ReplyDeleteWhy is it people are so desperate to push these things in different kinds of canon? I mean "toy canon", seriously?
ReplyDelete@Altherix
ReplyDeleteYeah, her subjects are like the children she can't have.
Celestia and Luna's immense power makes them more than normal ponies, while at the same time robbing them of other abilities.
It makes them somewhat more tragic characters.
Oh my god why is Rarity with Blueblood!?
ReplyDeleteIf they make a toy of him...
It has filly eyelashes, is it a girl...? Oo; So weird...x.x
ReplyDeleteyay more alicons
ReplyDeleteFUCK! This is going to totally fuck up my fanfic.
ReplyDeleteReading the text...
ReplyDeleteCelestia reminds them that they've met Blueblood and appearantly uses a malicious tone...
Unless I'm forgetting a different translation of "malicieusement"
@MyBoyJ
ReplyDeleteTragic is right

200 get for the lulz!
