Seth, you complaining about not being able to keep up? I came to Equestria daily this january, I have an whole year of updates to search through for awesomeness!
I don't usually go for lyrical pony music that isn't a remix of a song from the show, because I don't really know why, but I'm digging on both of these. Admittedly though, A Pony Like Me was more charming because I wasn't expecting a 60s Brit-pop style song about ponies.
Okay, having actually listened to it. Ye gods, Replacer is a champion. He's got a way with lyrics and vocals that's kinda magical. It's... tranquil, in a way? I've not the brain for deciphering the mechanics of song-making, but this is just amazing.
Two great songs though 60's stuff isn't really my thing. I can still appreciate the work that went into them and the talent they reflect. Great work, ponies!
Huh. Wasn't expecting the Replacer song to sound like that when it started. Checked the Youtube page, apparently it has a Beach Boys sound? I'm sure it'll grow on me. Cerulean Blue was an instant favorite for me.
PrinceWhatever, that was amazing. You now have my attention on Youtube. Subcribed.
I'm listening to the new PrinceWhatever song and comparing it to the older stuff I've saved. There's a lot of improvement! I especially like that he's not trying to "scream through a whisper" with the vocals as much. More please!
Replacer's awesome! Another excellent track out of him. He's got a very Paul McCartney sort of style. Using interesting instrumentation and progressions, as well as very interesting harmonies.
I liked both of the songs. First one might benefit from a little touching up in parts, but not bad. Second one is pretty good. Lyrics are quite good. Has a more unique feel and sound to it.

ReplyDeleteLove the first one. A nice break from all the Scootabuse you can find so it's nice to see a bunch of scootalove aswell.
ReplyDeleteSecond one, ehh not exactly my kind of music but it's good in it's own way I suppose.
