We get a ton of dubstep, techno, rock, and rap, but rarely we do we visit the classics. What better pony to do it with than Applejack? Have some good old fashioned bluegrass!
It's awesome... it's not bluegrass lol, it's Country Western (in the traditional sense), and it's awesome (and on it's way to my iPod)... but bluegrass it ain't.
Bravo! Very catchy tune, great lyrics, and a nice change of pace from the majority of the music we see....And it's already at the download limit. Dangit.
As others have mentioned, this isn't exactly bluegrass, though it's not far off either. I'd peg it as traditional country with (as one person mentioned) a rockabilly influence. Any way you label it, it's great.
Oh, you guys. Don't be too hard on Seth when it comes to music genres. He's not a music major or musician. That I know of anyway.
It sounded pretty good. Not really a country music fan myself for the most part. But singing was pretty good and I can certainly tell a well-made piece of music.
All right, I fail to see how anything ever is going to top this as far as original FiM songs go. We may as well just go and crown this the champion forever. Nothing else to see here. Move along.
wow Seth I wasn't expecting that, thank you thank you thank you!! and thank you ALL so much for the great comments! makes me so happy that so many bronies dig this song! i wasn't sure how it would be received. well y'all just blew my mind today
this is not exactly my style either, sorta alt-country-bluegrass-rockabilly kinda thing.. how 'bout Equestriacana? :D
I added a mediafire link so everypony can have a copy if they want
now regardin' the business of a PMV... can somepony help me with that? please? i really need your help!

ReplyDeleteThank you for that link!
And your description sounds about right. I guess it's not really aggressive enough to be rockabilly, but it's definitely got that bounce.
