These aren't too different from last year, but have some ponies! All dates point to March 9th on these, and considering a bunch of McDonalds sold out of them last time, it's probably a given that these will poof pretty quick too. I'm sure we will get plenty reports about that when the time comes though.
Thanks to Apple Dash for the image.

First & cool ^_^
ReplyDeleteBueno!
ReplyDeleteWTB these in Britain ;_;
ReplyDeletewhat happen to their cutie marks?
ReplyDeleteMust acquire displays as soon as McD's are done with the promotion...
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to adding more ponies to my collection!
ReplyDeleteAw yeah! These are as good as mine!
ReplyDeleteSweet Celestia, toys that ACTUALLY LOOK LIKE THE CHARACTERS! Sorry, Hasbro, but that "brushable mane" crap is screwing up your toys.
ReplyDeletewelp, looks like I'll be eating happy meals again soon
ReplyDeleteYES
ReplyDeleteYESYESYESYESYES
THEY HAVE CHEEEERILEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE <3333
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteEw. Pinkie and Flutters look like such derps. And the cutie marks are the same lame stamps as the last time :/
ReplyDeleteSure hope they'll be in Canada ;A; I want a Rarity so bad.
ReplyDeleteThe Mane 6, Cheerilee, and... Derplestia?
ReplyDeleteThis is a great promotion, My Little Pony toys for the boys and Transformers toys for the Girls.
ReplyDeleteWill they be in Australia?
ReplyDeleteHnnng I can't wait for these!
ReplyDeleteWelp, time to convince Neigh-sayer of a twin to go to McDonalds on the way home from school that week.
ReplyDeleteWow looks like theres a derpy figure in there too! Doh im vegan, have to find some way to get these!
ReplyDeleteI didn't notice this before, but Rainbow Dash's cutie mark looks wrong.
ReplyDeleteI see they're not using a "generic vector" for the display like they have in the past!
ReplyDeleteAlmost perfect... ALMOST... but not quite there. First, fix RD's eyes. Second, change the cütie marks to be accurate.
ReplyDeleteThen I WILL buy.
To quote Kel, "Aaaaaah, here it goes!" More chaos to add to my job, which I think due to the stress it brings me, just gave me a case of hives (to the dermatologist! Tomorrow!)
ReplyDeleteAnd I apologize for the length of this rant and I've posted this several times (but it was usually long after the initial post)
1. Yes, you can buy the toys just by themselves. Depending on where you live, they cost around $1.75.
2. If you plan on buying just the toy and/or want to be selective about which one you get, go inside. If you try and be selective about it in the drive thru you'll piss off every employee. The drive thru is supposed to be quick and smooth, we hand you your food, say "Thank you, have a nice day." You quickly double check to make sure everything is in there, say "Thank you" and drive off.
3. Don't come in during a rush, like breakfast, lunch or dinner.
4.I can't speak for every McDonalds but we usually only have about 2 toys at a time, and each toy lasts about 2 or 3 days. Once we run out, we're done and moving on to the next pony in the set.
5. Every McDonalds should have a "customer satisfaction" box. It has about 5 - 10 of every toy in the set, if a customer asks for a specific one (or wants to buy the entire set at once) and depending on who you ask and how nice they are feeling that day (sounds awful I know, but unfortunately it's true) they will probably go fetch the box. But once the CS box is empty, it's gone and we aren't getting another for that series.
6. Above all, be polite and patient. I know that I personally treat nice, friendly customers who know exactly what they want a lot better. Don't be another person on my list of people that make me dread work.
Hopefully this can be a fun and painless experience for everyone. And I will give a brohoof to anyone who comes in by themselves (or a group of males and each one orders their own toy) and asks to buy a girl toy a brohoof. None of my coworkers will get it, but that's what doubles the fun!
I guess I'd better develop an appetite for Happy Meals real quicklike, then. Luckily, there's like six McD's within a few minutes of where I live, and I don't really see any of them getting much traffic ever, so I think I'm pretty safe in that regard.
ReplyDelete@Winter Storm
ReplyDeleteLegacy from previous generations. That was one of the defining things about the toys when they first came out in the 80's.
So March 9th is the date they come out?
ReplyDeleteBetter keep that in mind...
@Senior Waffles
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tips. :)
Yeah, McDonald's is going to get absolutely ravaged for these. And remember, at some McDonald's you can just buy the toy separately. If you're like me and don't really care much for their food.
ReplyDeleteStores in Seattle are saying March 8th, so... Yay!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen the brony community for to long, so I just now realized that adults hunt for plastic pony toys. I'm honestly kind of creeped, no offense.
ReplyDeleteOu of nowhere, Lily Blossom gets a figurine. wat
ReplyDeleteBottom one (next to Applejack) looks like Derpy.
ReplyDelete@Flutterfan
ReplyDeleteYep, sounds about right lol. In before you see a line of guys buying Happy Meals for their nonexistant little sisters
If only it actually WAS Derpy! Since Derpy is best pony, I would totally rock a Derpy on top of my register every day.
ReplyDeleteUm, what's up with their ears?
ReplyDeletethey all look like they have an extra appendage growing out of their fontanelles. thats not at all what the previous set looked like.
Still, Its fun to see that they´re pushing Lily as a a-list character. That must mean she's destined for bigger things in the show.
@Senior Waffles
ReplyDeleteI work at QT, QuikTrip, don't know if you ever heard of it, but I'm the manager at one. Anyway, some bronies came in like savage beast, and one even dropped and spilled a drink on the floor, which I didn't really care cause those cups are like begging to die. But long story short, I was horrified, not cause they were bronies, but cause the way they acted. I don't take negativity out of a few for all though.
The palette matching doesn't seem all that great. Might just be the light.
ReplyDelete@Nothing Else To Do.
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah, an antisocial pathetic minority exists in most subcultures/fandoms/whatever you want to call it. Don't let the creeps color your opinion of everyone :).
I wonder if they will let me pay for two toys when I go to buy my niece a happy meal (One for her and one for me. EVERYPONY WINS!) That's not against the fast food rules right? right?...
ReplyDeletedo I spy derpy?
ReplyDelete@mechaluigi7 you can buy the toys outright for 50 cents if I'm not mistaken
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteThey are probably already sold out nationwide as I type this. Darn rabid fans. I don't stand a chance.
ReplyDeleteI have no strong feelings one way or the other.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was March 5. So it's March 9 now?
ReplyDeleteSorry to disappoint, but that's not Derpy. That's Lily Blossom! One of the few brushables with actually unique box art. There has to be a story there; I'm willing to bet we'll see her in the show eventually.
The toys aren't perfect, but I'm still pretty satisfied with my Rainbow Dash figurine from the previous series of Happy Meal toys.
ReplyDelete@Pixel Coder
ReplyDeleteIt's McDonalds. Pretty sure it's just a mess up.
I'mma get me some'a deeze. Dey cool.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to these! I missed out on the last batch but i'm ready this time. They just recently built a 3rd McD's here late last year, so thats 3 different places to collect them all.
ReplyDeleteI feel bad for the little girls out there who really want these. I'm worried all the bronies will buy them all out before they get a chance to get one. So I hope McD's made some extras this time or that all the bronies out there won't go nuts and buy multiples of each.
THEY COMING OUT ON MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDelete@SailorCardKnight
ReplyDeleteMcDonalds knows bronies are going to buy those like crazy. Doubt they care for the young who wants these, just care for profits.
Cheerilee's Cutiemark.
ReplyDeleteAperture Cheerilee?
Yes Cheerilee at last.
ReplyDelete...how can you complain? these arnt even available here ._.
ReplyDelete...am i the only member of SALT here?
ReplyDeleteI totally want one of these!
ReplyDeleteI wonder why Lily Blossom got to usurp Celestia in the McD toyline this time? Maybe they're catching on to the fact that we like blonde, gray pegasi?
ReplyDelete(Seriously though, unique box art, a BB figure, and now this? Perhaps she'll show up in the show at some point~)
My wallet is ready.
ReplyDeleteIs this just America, or can we English Bronies get them this time?
ReplyDeleteAwesome, I missed out on these last time!
ReplyDeleteHey quick question for everyone: Has anyone else been
experiencing an issue where the "post a comment" box
disappears? Sometimes I can't post unless I hit reply
to someone else's post. This seems to affect both Firefox
and IE, and I'm not sure if it has been brought up before.
@Bronyhub
ReplyDeleteIt's been happening a lot for me too . I can still post a comment if I act like I'm going to reply to someone else's comment. It takes me to the Blogger comment page- Then I just delete the reply code.
@Bronyhub
ReplyDeleteYeah, sometimes for me it will just stop working.
I have no problem asking for the toy alone, but I would have a problem bothering to ask them for which specific ones - especially if the place was busy like it always is. Ask for the pink one, they'll probably give me Cherrilee.
ReplyDelete"No, the other pink one. Pinkie Pie."
"...Who?"
Guess I'll just buy the whole set to save yourselves both the trouble.
http://mylittlewiki.org/wiki/Lily_Blossom This is Lily Blossom. I hope she makes a cameo as a background pony.
ReplyDeleteAnd if these made it to Australia, half of them would make the cut. *coughpokemoncough*
I look at that display, and all I can think anymore is, "My name is Pinkie Pie~ Hello! And I am here to say~"
ReplyDelete@Nando
ReplyDeleteBuy them at like 10 P.M.
Nobody eats at McDonalds at 10 P.M... right?
A bit offtopic, but I'd like to replicate a post that was just deleted from EqD:
ReplyDeletePretty Much This, and a Bit More.

It's not the end of the world guys! You can stop sending me your freak outs!
Note: Savederpy.com still exists though, so feel free to send your feedback there.
I have to admit, the email swarms filled with caps lock may be wearing on me. Save Derpy is still an important cause, but I personally think we need to calm down a bit as a whole. Until we can actually get some information out of Hasbro, it's difficult to make an exact judgement call. We have received messages from several reputable sources stating completely different things, so as of right now it's still up in the air.
God I hope these dont sell out
ReplyDeleteThanks Bolan, and Nothing, glad to know it's not just
ReplyDeleteme!
Woo, this'll give me a reason to go to McDonalds again. I want the Rarity and Cheerilee. :D
ReplyDeleteI harassed a friend of mine who was a manager at McD's until just recently into agreeing to using his connections to hook me up with a full set of these. He's a non-brony, and didn't know I was, so I've been receiving much mockery for wanting these, but it'll be worth it.
ReplyDeleteThis is an excellent event to organize a Brony meetup around.
ReplyDeleteEspecially for those of us who feel a little akward about getting the toy by ourselves. ^__^;
@Nando I really wanted Rainbow and Pinkie, so I asked for the blue and pink ones. I got Rainbow and Rarity. I then returned Rarity and asked for the pink one again. I got Fluttershy. At that point I decided I didn't want to be any more of a bother and just accepted the toy :P.
ReplyDelete@meneth: Yeah! What's with all the deleted EqD posts lately?
ReplyDeleteI work near a McDoanalds. Hmm, March 9th eh?
ReplyDeleteI can work with that. :D
So, they really do have some kind of weird appendage on their heads so that their ring can be attached. I'm not sure what it's supposed to do but I don't see why they needed a gimmick other than "It's a pony! Brush it's tail!" That worked last time, didn't it?
ReplyDeleteI couldn't really see getting any of these until I realized my little sister could use Cheerilee and Lily Blossom to go with her mane six McDonald's toys.
No really, they'd be for her.
Is that Derpy and Cherilee I see?
ReplyDeleteWANT IT, NEED IT
Oops, not Derpy. Who the hay is that grey one? .___.
ReplyDeletethat's Lily blossom, a character exclusively from the toy line
ReplyDeleteI really want that Pinkie Pie display!
ReplyDeleteBIG QUESTION:
What time will most McDonald's start selling them on March 9?
wow cool, yes I going to get them all.
ReplyDeleteI can imagine how ordering one of these is going to play out.
ReplyDelete"Hi, may I take you order?"
"Yeah, my little sister wants one of those toys." *lie*
*gets a toy*
"No, she wants the pink one."
*gets Cherilee*
"No, the pink one. Pinkie Pie, you know, the one who sings all the time?"
"No sir, I wouldn't know that."
Wait... March 9... I'm going to a field trip on March 9! And we are going to McDonalds for lunch! Better bring some extra money - to buy some gems and ponies!
ReplyDelete@ArmyOfOne1112
ReplyDeleteThough I don't really watch SpongeBob, I'd say that person would be a TOTAL Squidward. Now, I work for McDonalds, and have worked there for a year, now. The proceedures go that we get about TWO toys per shipment, and each week, we'd get new ones, and whenever a child would say what toy they'd want, I tell them what we have. By the way, I'm YoshiAngemon, a Gamer, and a bit of a Brony.
Must. Get Lily Blossom!!
ReplyDelete@Unknown My Birthday's a day BEFORE the release (March 8th)
ReplyDeleteThe poses are different to last time, Fluttershy in particular has a drastically different pose, the rest you can take or leave outside Lilly Blossom
ReplyDeleteI guess the ring means they could be used like keyrings or something? though might be a bit too big to be a keyring figure...
They can be clipped onto bookbags, or in the cases of the fathers or uncles who like it, the mirrors in their cars.
ReplyDelete>McD toys still more show-accurate than official toys
ReplyDeleteHASBRO, Y U SUCK AT MAKING PONIES ლ(ಠ益ಠლ)
AWWWW YEAH my friend works at McDonald's and I'm buying that display.
ReplyDeleteOh. My. God... Can this be? Is it true? Yes... Yes I think it is! That's incredible! They actually DID NOT use a stock PinkiePie vector this time!
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know if this set will be available in Europe as well, or will it be just for US?
ReplyDeleteQuite a few countries in Europe got the last year's MCD pony line only recently (January/February/March promo) so I'd not hold my breath for those anytime soon for us EU folk.
ReplyDeletegee thanks. now my brain is deciding it want to play the smile song internally D:
ReplyDeletealso, soo gonna camp out at mcd's nearby
YAY
ReplyDeleteI work at a McDonald's in Brandon Manitoba Canada!
I probably will get, but feel embarassed by both my workmates and parents...
YAY

Buying all of them
ReplyDelete@Nostalgia Schmaltz
ReplyDeleteHasbro doesn't suck at making ponies. Bronies just still don't get that "brushable manes" have always been part of this toyline and that MLP is in the first place a toyline. Complaining about brushable manes is as stupid as complaining that Hot Wheels cars have wheels.
i Wish australia was cool with its pony merch. we aussie bronies need pony stuff !
ReplyDeletelol in my country we allready got them. I sadly only got two of them when I noticed. and now they are allready gone.
ReplyDeletewill we ever see a premium quality ponies?
ReplyDeleteIf anyone want's to trade em' around by mail, I'm totally down for that.
ReplyDeleteI tend to get a billion duplicates.
For the first time since I was a kid I'm glad I've got a relative who's a store manager at a McDonalds.
ReplyDeleteAre they keychains? Cause AJ looks like one. If they are I'll put one on my bag for school PS. They look great bot cutie marks are wrong
ReplyDeleteWhy does Applejack NEVER have her hat!?
ReplyDelete@Ki
ReplyDeleteThis.
If someone wants show accurate, then they should just get the "molded" MLP toys or the blindbags.
http://www.amazon.com/My-Little-Pony-Friendship-Magic/dp/B004L6SGV4/ref=pd_rhf_ee_shvl2
@Zachary D.
ReplyDeleteYep! They are keychains. That is why they all have that circle on the top of their heads that looks like a weird third ear, hah.
I will definantly endever to pick up Twilight Sparkle, my favorite character. Tara Strong who voices her is one of my favorite voice actors, I am a fan of Raven from Teen Titans, I first new of Tara from Beetlejuice (1989-1991) when she voiced Claire Brewster and Bertha.
ReplyDeleteThis show has become one of my all-time favorites. I am difinantly a Brony and would have never imagined I would be a part of the My Little Pony fan community, this generation is much different from the older franchise my little sister used to watch when we were small in the '80s.
I must admit this one is one of the few that will stay with me.
What's the easiest way to ask for specific ponies? Do I have ask for "the white one with purple hair", or will they know who Rarity is? If they only have a couple different ones at any time, can I just ask which ones they have and take my pick? Or is their attitude, we will stick you with eight Pinkie Pies and you will like it?
ReplyDeleteBTW, I'm experiencing the same problem with "post a comment" box occasionally missing and not all the replies showing up.
@Brony4444
ReplyDeleteGenerally speaking, the toys have a number specific to them that you can see in the display case. So, you just ask for a toy with a specific number, not by name or descriptions.
@brony4444 Most of the time we never which toy is which (though if you asked me for each one by name I would know exactly what you're talking about). However, in your scenario, you should go inside and ask them what toys they currently have right now and if they would kindly show you which ones they have. Sometimes we only have 1 toy out but we usually have 2, so they will probably bring out the first two different ponies they find.
ReplyDeleteI want either Twilight or Pinkie Pie. Twilight to cheer me on my studies. Or Pinkie Pie to cheer me up when I am down.
ReplyDelete@Mister Twister McDonalds MLP toys have been more accurate than the ones from Hasbro itself. At such a low price these are the best there is.
ReplyDelete@Senior Waffles Got it, thx. I live in an area that is busy on weekends but pretty slow during the week, so it should be easy to accumulate ponies without anyone getting hurt.
ReplyDelete@matgeuse
ReplyDeleteShe's also the voice of Scarlet Witch on another Hasbro Property show - the Super Hero Squad Show. She was sent to 1602, where she was put on trial in Super Hero Towne for being a witch, but she saved them, and treated her to the worst part of 1602 - The Food! CHOLERA VACCINES FOR EVERYONE!
First time I've been happy to work at McDonalds. The DAY EQD first reported that these toys were coming out, I claimed the display. It arrived at the store today, and I doublechecked with my manager to confirm that, yes, as soon as the display goes down, it's mine.
ReplyDeleteI've come across the fact that Super Walmart Mcdonals sell the entire set plus the display after the run is over. So try there if you're looking for the display.
ReplyDeleteSpring Break is coming and i will see them in reality! Ponies are Awesome!!!! ^_^
ReplyDeleteWe should have a contest to see who can get all 8 first
ReplyDeleteSo
ReplyDeletemuch
WANT
Awesome :D
ReplyDeleteI have a question:
ReplyDeleteWhy is Pinkie Pie the apparent face of My Little Pony? She was plastered all over Times Square for the toy show, she gets a huge picture on this stand up. Why her as opposed to Twilight or any of the others?
YESSSS I WANT IT
ReplyDeleteIf only there were vegetarian happy meals :(
ReplyDelete@Don't Call Me Brony (Please)
ReplyDeleteProbably because she's pink.
@Anby
ReplyDeleteThanks I was thinking they were buttens and they would say lines from the show
I meant Amby
ReplyDelete@Don't Call Me Brony (Please)
ReplyDeleteI agree with what brony4444 said in that she is pink, which is definitely a huge factor. She is also one of the main characters in the show (based on show time, amount of episodes dedicated to her, and the fact that she has a lot of songs and jokes involved with her personality). She is also extremely noticeable. She has also been in the franchise for a while (G1 had Surprise and G3 has Pinkie Pie), so she is probably familiar to parents who are about the age to now have kids that would like the current television series and toys.
Also, I would say she is the most appealing in general to people. The rest of their ponies all have their niches (Twilight: smart, Dash: outgoing, Fluttershy: shy, Applejack: hard-working, Rarity: posh), whereas Pinkie is just happy and funny, things that almost every child can relate to.
@Pootisman
ReplyDeleteThere is a vegetarian happy meal! You can get a grilled cheese happy meal (in Canada, at least).
If not, you can always buy the toys on their own. They cost about 2 dollars.
Applejack, WHY YOU HAVE NO HAT?!?!!??
ReplyDeleteMy sister knows someone who works at McDonalds who can get me one for free. There is only one I want. Lily Blossom.
ReplyDeleteALL MY BITS FOR THIS
ReplyDeleteAAAA why it dont come to Brazil? here some time ago we have MLP in macdonalds but have just: AP, twilight, pinkie and RD, no rarity or fluttershy T-T
ReplyDeleteNow we shall have to wait to see who kicks it open and takes all of them first
ReplyDelete@Nothing Else To Do.
ReplyDeleteWell, first off, how is this any different from an adult looking for a collectible action figure, or any other collectible? Also, it makes people happy and most people are just doing it for fun, so why is it creepy? And lastly, you seem to imply we adults have to be mature all the time. I disagree ^_^
“Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.”
― C.S. Lewis
I have all the toys. And I think that there are still some errors with them. For instance Rarity's hair is pink and purple and her tail is totally pink. Pinkie pies hair is curly more than poofy.
ReplyDeleteRainbow dash's hair isnt rainbow. Applejack doesnt have a hat. And naturally the cutie marks are stamped and arent 100% correct. Fluttershy, Twilight Sparkle, and Cherilee are pretty accurate other than the stamp on their flank. And then theres this random pegasus who reminds me of Derpy Hooves but her hair is long and blonde and has a lily as her cutie mark. Her name is Lily Blossom. Ive never seen this pony in the series. Shes a little odd out of the collection. Those are my only complaints. Overall theyre super cute and im so glad I have them all
