This will be fun while I can listen, especially if it goes along the lines of the last one. Meeting up with friends in a bit, and while this may be epic, gotta stay in touch with those I know locally.
For the love of god please read the rules everyone. Pretty much an instaban if you break any, on account of the sheer number of participants in the chat.
Read the channel rules and realized it's not a place I want to be. Might as well add "If you like fun, you will be banned." My advice, don't give them any more web hits.
It's a shame Mic has to hog the spotlight so much. I swear that guy can't go 2min without impromptu singing. Despite that, it's pretty fun to listen to.
Josh, you're a good mod, and Mic can be an immensely entertaining host -- when he's hosting alone.
But for Mic to hold the 'official EqD stream' or whatever, it just doesn't work. He's a bit too 'raw' and doesn't really mesh well as a co-host. or maybe i'm just taking this too seriously -_-
i started going to mic's livestream a few months ago when we had like 60 people. I went because i could talk to people in the chatbox, not because mic was entertaining. It was fun because we sort of could talk to mic, he helped me out with my japanese homework once and the people watching were fun to talk to (especially when mic was offline). It was mostly mic talking to his friends, playing games, and watching movies while the chatbox was about something completely different (e.g. my little dashie). Eventually more people came and mic started to ignore the chat more and more and their were too many people to be able to talk to anyone. To make a long story short, listening to "internet famous" people talk to eachother or play games isn't entertaining, because they ignore everyone watching (it feels kind of degrading) and with 1000 people you cant have a conversation with other viewers or talk to the livestreamer. That is my story, sorry if people disagree.
@gclaw4444 /brohug It's not stupid, that's a normal feeling man. Try not to think a lot about it, as you can see many many people like it, and we should we glad for that. If you don't or well, it has lost its charm for you, just stay out of it and keep calm and watch ponies =)
That's only the way of progress, when you have the attention of a thousand viewers, you can't hear them all. It'd be impossible!
@Josh Spicer /brohugs you too Hey you do a wonderful job, the community thanks you for sure =)
Many people are entertained and you keep a sort of "control" to the chaos that it creates, so I say you must make people happy! Even if they don't know, so for that I thank you!
If your experience is like mine, you'll do this: * Open a new web browser window or tab * Enter "www.livestream.com/micthemicrophone" because that's what it said at the bottom of the video * See the message "This channel is locked. Unfortunately, micthemicrophone has been temporarily locked. All of micthemicrophone's videos will remain hidden until we can resolve the issue." * Cry. * Open the video on YouTube. * See that "micthemicrophone" should be "micthemicrophonezero" in the URL. * Open that. * Rejoice.
I never understood these things. It's like all the famous people in the fandom get together and have fun. Which is pretty cool it itself, it's sort of like Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack going out together.
But why are 1000 people watching them? It would be sweet if they were on a public server and we could play WITH them, but just them playing together, and no one from the public invited?
That just make people jealous that they weren't invited.
Hmmm... Don't really think this should be the type of thing on the front page WRITTEN IN ALL CAPS...
I've been listening for a bit, and it just seems to be a bunch of fairly well-known bronies circle jerking while largely ignoring the chat... Advertising this on the mane page is the exact type of thing that causes certain other MLP:FiM communities (DHN, /co/, FiMchan to name a few) to needlessly hate EqD so much...
I come here for pony news and fandom creations, not to get asked to worship the "gods of the fandom..."
Sorry, that's just my opinion. I like EqD, but sometimes you guys like to flaunt your fandom fame a bit too much... this is a perfect example. Oh well. I know some will say if you don't like it, don't watch, and that's what I'll do from now on.
@Octavia Hehe, well when you have a lot of people following the stuff you do, for instance here in EQD, and I mean a LOT of people. It's considered being famous or at least mildly famous. Only yeah, in the internet.
They are obviously not hollywood stars or anything, and some even let it go to their heads a biiit too much. But you can't deny their "importance" of sorts :) (and they can earn a lot of money, there's also that xD)
Well, some of us have done very big things for the community too. I was one of the very very first Bronies. But we don't get "special recognition" of any sorts. Calling yourself "internet famous" or such, to me, is like stroking your e-peen. I may sound kinda like a bitch right now, but that's honestly how I view it.
@Octavia I know you weren't responding to me, but I agree with you completely... I actually am posting under a different account, With my normal account I am a moderately well known member of the community (My "real" youtube channel has over 3000 subscribers and over 1 million video views).
But if I posted under my normal name people would probably just think I'm jealous, and then might permanently associate me with being a hater or something, since that seems to be the nature of the community, unfortunately...
@Octavia Ah not at all Octavia! You don't sound like one at all =) But I must say that you have to bare in mind that these people do a lot of stuff in a daily basis, stuff that people like. Plus there's a lot of factors and variables about it, views and what not, popularity, the actual content of the stuff, and a wide range of etc. In the end is just a bunch of random things what make them be in the spotlight. Luck, as primitive as that!
Also I'm pretty sure you are quite recognized over the community. Hell, you are one of the few I actually read in here when an entry has like 200+ comments and I don't feel like reading it all. I read the ones I care, and you are one of them. So yeah xD For whatever counts.
Mic's tumblr is another thing that put me off. The chubby tub, were all his followers go. I left degraded without even being his follower. I know he is kidding but that still doesn't mean it doesn't hurt to be unrecognized.
Seth should stay neutral and not get involved with outside parties. Its all politics with famous bronies and this fandom. People have their views and frankly, if ponies made you famous because nothing else you did ever has, I don't envy you. It's true that this fandom always needs material such as music, art and videos but recognition outside your own influence isn't respectable. Such as this stream is advertisement. If an artist has a stream, fans will go there. Everyone does a great job, I just see no good from EQD stream unless it was the team itself only. I'm not hating but relating to the opposition. Again I say, politics.
Well I see all of our (legitimate, imo) concerns will go unheard, since a new OMG WE'RE SO AWESOME LIVESTREAM post is now at the top of the front page...
sorry, i went to far with my last comment, just the thing this community doesn't need. Trying to stick to the positive, like how this post has made me come out of my commenting shell and i'll probably comment more on eqd
@Scootawut Well well now, a night of fun can also happen in EQD we all know that. No need to go hating on that now. Only news, fics and stuff could get a bit boring, especially for the authors. I don't mind a bit of fun from their part.
Plus, afterall is their site and they can do whatever they want pretty much.
And at least we have each other, chatting in here c:
@Scootawut I'm a bit concerned as well. I believe this is because as the website Equestria Daily continues to grow, so does the reputation, and not only that - both aspects have been more exposed to the outside elements. People unfamiliar to the fandom may take this website as an accurate representation of our fandom, which I'm starting becoming concerned. I'm aware that EqD is a fan blog site, and it is the most popular MLP:FiM fansite out there; but I feel it should be more professional on how they are handling; even if their jokes are the norm (like Trixie, Phoe taking over for a day, and the US being invaded by ponies). The only solution to this is to make a website that full-on rivals EdQ in every single way; and making some strong competition. (I know topping 110 million is a lot after a year of it's existence, but it's possible with a lot of dedication).
I haven't made comments very much as I used to, partially because my comments would get lost in the comment section, unmodded comments that may go out of hand, and that I have school to attend to still. I'm curious as to what kind of community I should join; I've been lurking Ponygoons - and they sprouted some above average commentary among the episodes they watch; and I absolutely love the screencaps that point out interesting things that I haven't thought of before, showing what the show is capable of among the team. Bear in mind that Ponygoons is the only community I'm currently looking at with a stronger focus.
Are there any communities out there would you suggest? I'm preoccupied with homework right now, and would appreciated some needed guidance.
@Al_Skylark I know. I'm sorry, I was trying to maintain my cool in my first few posts, but by that one I was obviously a bit annoyed....
I'm more concerned about the community itself, though, like I said, I have nothing against having fun, but I just don't think a session of TF2 between "famous" bronies should be taking what is now 2 posts written in ALL CAPS on the front page... it's this type of stuff that causes more rifts in the fandom, it's why a lot of people hate EqD... they're basically advertising a skype chat which no one but the "elite" can actually participate in, on a site that's normally dedicated to fan-made material and news...
Well, I'm through talking about it anymore anyway. It's one of the hotter issues for me and one of the things that puts me off to the community a little bit. And I don't want to go off on more of a rant than I already have. I've said my peace and now I'm done.
@Scootawut It's understandable, I'm just asking not to do a "Derpy" on them. It was the hate of a few people (and yes, compared to the almost 1000 people having fun in the stream we ARE a few) what pretty much triggered and broke the fun for many. Let's not do that. I'm here chatting with you guys because I relate with you as well, but let's try to keep it positive, mature and in -this- post only. Spreading hate ain't gonna solve anything. And, although you may disagree, I think EQD has gotten a lot of unfair hate from people who were whining too much.
No worries, it's not you. It's the community in general lately. I just feel like a lot of it has turned into a big popularity contest. It was my joke a little back that that is partially why the song "Becoming Popular" was so, well... popular.
@Al_Skylark We're on the same page. I personally don't have many issues with EqD - my only complaints arise mostly from the fact that this is now the go-to site for the entire fandom, yet sometimes Seth and the gang treat it irresponsibly, for lack of a better word. Yes, they run the blog and can do whatever they want. But I think a lot of times, they don't realize just how massive of an impact this site has on the entire fandom AND the fact that this is pretty much the only fansite seen by anyone *outside* the fandom.
On the other hand, the people who constantly whine about how terrible this site often don't have their facts straight - I've found myself defending EqD in several threads after I've initially been the one complaining.
All in all, you're right - the last thing I want is to pull a Derpy. I don't necessarily believe in "love and tolerance", but I do believe in maturity and reason. :)
@Scootawut I agree. EqD is the central pub for this fandom, where the outside judges. EqD isn't that bad, but it needs to be at its best of we are going to raise the well were in with the reputation of the outside.
@octavia, skylark, scootand everyone else commenting this is what i've missed really, just beng able to have sort of a conversation with random bronies, no fame, no fans, just people. just wanted to say thanks before i head off to sleep
@Ryan For better or for worse, an ideal FiM community just doesn't exist - they all have flaws that we have to either a) accept and live with, or b) accept and move on.
I would recommend (and I hope i'm allowed to say this) checking out DerpyHoovesNews.com *in addition* to EqD. They're sort of on polar opposite sides of the fandom, but by reading and participating in both, you can get a pretty balanced fandom experience.
As far as communities, there are too many to list...... and none are perfect, but that doesn't mean you can't have a good time in any of them.
@gclaw4444 I do indeed miss this at times, even if I haven't participated very much on commenting. Even though my name is generic (and that there are other accounts with "Ryan" out there...I should seriously rename my nickname/username in the future), and that I became a fan around March 2011, I like having a calm environment on the conversation; just have it lay casual.
Also, on part to the whole "Internet famous" thing. When Josh commented you gave him respect like no other. Kind of destroys the whole act of being against Internet popularity.
@Scootawut Eyup, as they say, a great power beholds a great responsibility. And nowadays EQD has a great, great power in our community. Although to be honest, except for the last entry that Ceral posted I don't think that these streams really do have a negative effect outside the fandom. I mean, it's just a stream to them, I don't think someone outside the brony fandom would bother to sit through it. And if they did they'd just see a bunch of people they don't know playing games. Nothing else.
I do agree that it can have a negative impact on the fandom though... But again, it's a minority to their eyes. And if I -think- that being them would be like this: Having fun with some friends and have a stream that probably hundreds of people are going to love and a few are going to be disappointed, or not do anything and keep the routine. Being the humans they are it's only normal they chose the first one. It should be a biiiit better managed, I agree completely, less caps lock, maybe announced elsewhere, or idk, with a special tag so you can skip it, just like the no-fanfiction thing or stuff like that.
And same here really, especially with artists. I understand PERFECTLY the frustration of a piece being rejected as I'm an artist myself, but going berserk about it won't do any good either.
But in the end as bronies we all end up here every now and then, because we know we can trust they'll bring us the episodes, fresh news and entertainment altogether. And hating on it is just going to make your experience worse x3
@gclaw4444 This is exactly what I was trying to do from the beginning! Since I do not enjoy the stream, or at least is not all that entertaining anymore (cause I gotta admit the first time I was in one of these I had a lot of fun). I thought why not have a nice convo with other people in the EQD thread! With people I can relate too. But also trying not to drive it into unnecessary hate xD
I'm just sad that Octavia got upset I wish I would have started another topic of conversation really.
@Scootawut True on not having an ideal FiM website. With all the things around us, there are times that even ponies overload our brains, and we need to take a break from it. I started skipping the episode Baby Cakes, and the last episode (for both, I only watched most of the first 7 minutes of it).
Thanks for the time for discussing this, even though "probably no one" will read these comments but us.
@Al_Skylark The people who judge us don't seek us, they wait for us. When thee interact with something, or go to a location and interact, they notice. Its like the scenario here, they like the community there, and when a community comes to judge, or express there community, it can offend or just anger the community there. EqD may hold a central position, but few are judging from there. And if they are, who are they to judge the home of bronies, what are they going to expect when coming to the central news feed, and entertainment for bronies.
@GreatAndMightyChampion Quite a valid point you have there. And having in mind that our current society is still yet to be a let's say wide open one, I can see why the concerns about these kind of things. But having fear of the outside looks is not what this fandom is about, this fandom is about ponies and not to be ashamed for liking a good show. So if the EQD staff got let's say "coward" enough to not have fun every now and then, then well, it'd suck a bit. And it wouldn't help to better this close minded society altogether.
@Al_Skylark We should probably be friends because of this. I noticed that you have an email address (and I don't - privacy reasons). Mind if I contact you during the weekend? I'm still pretty preoccupied...HW.
@Ryan Yeah, sometimes when I get overloaded by ponies and the fandom, I just take a break for a few days or maybe a week. It can really help to cool down and remember the good parts of the fandom, when negativity is all I've been able to think about.
But then it's even more overwhelming coming back and trying to catch up on everything! XD
I have to say it's really awesome that this conversation is occurring - I had thought it all but impossible anymore with the usual 200+ comments in 10 minutes (exaggeration) on every EqD article!
@Scootawut As long as there are people willing to have nice conversations there will be place for them =) And I'm honestly quite happy about it as well, as I don't normally like things like ponychan where you can barely hold a conversation.
Also as for breaks of the ponydom, I normally just lay off the fandom, the episodes are never a bother to me. Nor most of the music, just the interaction with the fans xD
@Scootawut I would be very surprised if the crew during the stream found out that me, Scootawut, Al_Skylark, GreatAndMightyChampion and Octavia found out we're the only ones chatting in this conversation where the blog post's purpose is for the announce of a stream still going on. We voiced our genuine concerns.
@Al_Skylark I should go for Octavia as well, she(?) seems to be a withstanding veteran member of EqD, and I appericiate her(?) insight. (I can't tell if your a guy or girl - and I know you created that name for that very bg pony)
Oh I know that! But as I said earlier she's one of the famous people in here that I care to read when a entry gets crazy with 200+ comments. And she always have something to say that will either put a smile on me face or that I can agree with. So mad respect for her! And at first I thought she was a guy... xD So I would love to get to be her friend or something :)
I started avoiding a bit the draw friends honestly, most of my friends are artists, and they've sent a lot of stuff to EQD that got rejected. Really GOOD stuff, like yes. And whenever I know any of my friends has sent something and I go to the drawfriend and I don't see it there I get a little upset. And then enraged when some jackass says they only post the "best" of the best. When well, it's just painfully obvious is not true. I do realize that they have a looooot, too much even, to choose from and that they can't get everything in, and I'm TOTALLY fine with it. Even with the little bias there are for well known artist. But I don't like it when someone who doesn't even work at EQD makes statements like "only accept best of the best" when it's just no.jpg.
I haven't read her recent comments in the last...few days, weeks or so - but I assume almost all of them are as geninue as the comments she posted here.
Before I go Al_Skylark, when did you first got in contact with the show? For me, it's March 2011; and a couple of months earlier, my friend started having a pony avatar which I don't mind at all, then he changed his avatar...and they look very interesting. The contact of becoming a fan, my friend sent me a video of Ponycraft 2, and I watched, and it was simply epic. The animation, the art direction, the voice-snyc was perfect, and I wasn't even into Starcraft. I am very happy to be a fan of the show and wished I got it sooner. :)
Whoa, lot's of chatting here now. lol Reminds me of those long long threads Bomb, Jelfes, Discord, and I would have in random EqD posts. Haven't been in on those in a while now. Sorry I'm not saying much. I agree with many of you guys' valid points on the subjects about the community we were discussing.
@Ryan Phew I don't even know, it was like early last year, then I started subtitling the episodes in spanish in youtube, and got to know about EQD and got more integrated in the fandom, and this happened at the starters of Season 2. I'm pretty much participating in the fandom since then. I'm honestly slow when it comes down to fandoms, so all this is still pretty new to me xD
@GreatAndMightyChampion I would love to stay and chatter more, but I must go and sleep to face the next day of school; Friday...the last day of the week; 2.5 days of easy resting, goofing off, and HW, until Monday. I should contact to you as well since you sounded friendly. I'm watching for Al_Skylark to make the final bill before I'm excused.
@Ryan I became a fan by actually, making fun of them. Me and my friend Chris just got back from the navy, and checking the Internet lately, we saw the bronies, and laughed at how grown men liked mlp. Then I watched an episode, and it was pretty good.
@GreatAndMightyChampion Normal case of brony infection. Navy pony, that's pretty awesome! I know a "lot" of folks that are in the military that love MLP :0
I wonder why is that? Because ponies are something nice and cute, and war sucks balls?
@Scootawut Huh, I wrote you a message and it didn't went through, that's odd! Oh well, good night man! And yeah, don't mind if I do, been meaning to make new friends inside the community!
@GreatAndMightyChampion I heard a lot of people who were fans were formerly haters and trolls; that attack FiM, and attack in general. I couldn't believe how much ponies have transformed them at this point; almost sounding like a miracle!
I think I spoke too soon about sticking around longer, I gotta go now. Thank you for the conversation, it was very refreshing to me inspite that fact that I'm suffering a fiery headache from the overload of other things right now.
*crosses fingers that the stream won't notice us...if they do, how would they react? ...someone should set a fuse in the chatroom*
@Octavia Going anyway...tiring indeed, thank you for your presence, and once again - everyone else commenting. Someone should probably set a fuse at their chatroom and see us set a good example of how a fandom should be like. XP
@Ryan Heh, I also was about to go but I just have to comment and say that I too like GreatAndMightyChampion started out as a hater, but converted after watching a few episodes to see exactly what I was making fun of people for!
I still remember watching my first episode - Swarm of the Century - and I was hating myself - but about half way through I was hooked and the rest is history, lol.
@Scootawut Actually I remember posting, like a week before starting watching, in my Facebook, something like "It's funny, one wakes up one morning and everyone loves My Little Pony, I think I'm getting old". And then... well, I can say it was indeed funny xD
Last comment before I go. We should make it our "secret" chatbase here...unless someone discovers our activities. It would be so funny if people didn't notice.
As for these types of chats in the comments, not that I know of. I have seen Seth talk to people about it if they repeatedly say something short in a comment, then make another comment a moment later saying something else short they could have easily just condensed into the previous comment. But this isn't the first time a long serious discussion took over the comments here.
That's what Bomb and Jelfes did. I think there's perhaps a long discussion still going on in one of the post's somewhere. I remember we made one hit it's cap of 5000 comments and had to move to another post to chat. By now it could be they filled up that one as well. lol
Second time EQD eats my comment today, and first time that has happened to me! Anyways: @Octavia An autograph? What? For me? Ohhh you shouldn't have bother~!
Hm I see, good to know then. I figured so that they'd not allow spamming comments all the time (although I have been doing an awful lot of posts...), but wasn't sure about discussions. Tyanks!
@Octavia 5000 .____. Like that one with Fallout Equestria :L That's pretty amazing! I would love to chat with them myself, and with Discord, I love the stuff he does with his name, that discords everything xD
Understandable fear that one! And I applaud you for using anonymity in a much more let's say, "responsible" way than many others. Main reason why I dislike anonymity -> Used to spread hate, to hurt people, and to troll in general with impunity. But yours enters in my "fair use" of anonymity, so yay for meeting you as well! :D
Oh, this wasn't comments pertaining to the post content itself. This was just random chatting after people had already said what they wanted to. One of them was a music post. Probably had something like 30 comments to the post itself. Then the rest was just random talking between us all. lol
@InfinityDash HHHHHHNNNNNNNNNNNNG. Infinity Dash! The one who rips out BG music from the show? I love your work on ripping out the music along with Sen555. I actually informed you that JunkieNewb's YouTube account got shot down (don't tell my name please), and I take it that he got the message. Man, the BG music is very awesome...and I couldn't keep up with the stuff lately. William Anderson...man...8D Still a bit saddened his works are underrated.
@Al_Skylark Heh, yeah I feel bad now for doing that, I felt like I was deceiving you guys. I'm often opinionated about things but refrain from saying anything because of fear of backlash... admittedly not the best quality in the world. :/
@InfinityDash Woha, it's understandable really, and it wasn't deceiving at all, since you DID say you weren't using your real account AND also you used your real just now, so any deceiving thing should be gone by now xD
Also Ryan go to bed, you need to be clear for tomorrow! /says the guy who hasn't sleep in all night
@Ryan Yep, that's me :). And I agree William Anderson's work is underrated - and hopefully some of the stuff I and others have done have helped to change that. Daniel Ingram often rightfully takes the spotlight, but without Anderson's awesome work the episodes wouldn't have nearly as much life in them.
@Octavia Yeah, heh. I know. I feel dumb and somewhat cowardly for even assuming that now...
@InfinityDash I agree 100% with that about William Anderson! I often find myself whistling background songs more than the actual catchy-as-hell songs xD Anyone remember that one where the CMC are going around ponyville trying to find their special talents and it's all in a "sort of montage" thing? That song is still haunting me ;_;
@GreatAndMightyChampion We can always continue tomorrow, do like Ryan and Octavia said, meet here and do more random chatting :) I'm going to put this page under my favorites to not forget the link (cause I will forget the link due to my damn brain)
The one that really got me to notice the BGM for the first was Photo Finish's music - that's when the thought occurred "Wait what am I listening to -- this is My Little Pony?!" Lol
@Ryan I've bookmarked this too, good night! I've given up on trying to get to sleep now, at least for a little while
@InfinityDash That one's also brilliant! Captures the character perfectly. And now that I listen to it, it also reminds of some sort of "about to get to the climax" music for a spies movie xD
@Al_Skylark I was a tiny bit sad that Derpy didn't get her own great BGM during her scene in TLR. One of the things I love so much about the BGM is the consistent use of recurring themes.
It nearly brought a tear to my eye in The Last Roundup, when Twilight, Pinkie, RBD, Fluttershy, and Rarity begin their search for Applejack, as they're leaving the barn we hear a redux of the Friendhip theme from The Return of Harmony (watch?v=OHIZ7No5iOM about a minute in you can hear it, among other spots in the episode). It almost reminded me of the way the "Fellowship Theme" is used throughout the Lord of the Rings.
@InfinityDash Oh god yes, The Last Roundup has become my favorite episode by far, it has everything I like, music, sad drama that will turn into good but you don't know how, Derpy, adventure, action, Applejack. Hell to be the perfect episode they just needed to add Scootaloo, and voila! My life would have been complete x) AND I SIMPLY LOVED THAT THEME, Like omg, my favorite ending credits of all the show, the song was hnnng Is one of the ones I STILL humm today!
@InfinityDash Yeah, I could imagine her back-theme with deep trombones, kind of silly and such. Although the background-sounds just related to the action in scene.
Yeah, lots of chatting has been going on here in the past few hours. lol As for sleeping, eh, I still have a few more hours or so beofre it's bedtime for me.
I think derpys theme would sound something along the lines of this: http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=%2Findex%3Fdesktop_uri%3D%252F%26gl%3DUS&desktop_uri=%2F&gl=US#/watch?v=B_LWGPQBpMs
@GreatAndMightyChampion Idk if I may have copypasted it wrong, but it doesn't seem to work for me! Use the share thingie in youtube, and copypaste the lil link it appears. It's easier that way!
Wowie zowie, that was a lot of comments to read o_O I haven't been keeping in touch with Mic or his stream lately, so I was a little surprised to see a lower rating than I expected for the stream announcement post. Considering how popular Mic is, I was under the impression a stream with him and a bunch of other big-name bronies having fun together would be something the people would enjoy.
@I Bring Da LULZ Oh don't get confused many many people did enjoy it, hell the stream got to a crazy 1000 hits. But some felt too degraded by it, the chat gets too clogged and fast to read anything really, and it felt they were being ignored. And then there's the whole fame thing, people is upset because it seems if you're famouse you're not worth it. It's only normal =) At least we managed to have a decent civilized discussion about it, instead of just spamming with insults and stuff.
lol, I woke up as if sensing a disturbance in the force when this happened again, but this time I convinced myself it was nothing, and ended up missing out big-time. Oh well. I should trust my Pinkie Sense in the future.
Goooooooooood morning. It's time to face school...and woah, there's more comments. To get a better understanding where all of us (me, Al_Skylark, GreatAndMightyChampion, InfinityDash, and Octavia) in a time sense; I'm in Pacific time in the US. It is 7:34am here. What about you guys?
I will respond to the rest of the unread comments when I'm done with school for today.
@Ryan Morning Ryan, have a good day at school! Well I woke up not too long ago, it's 18:47 here, went to bed at 10am. I'll be around working on stuff checking here every now and then.
Anyone else gonna watch the livestream of the episode? I'm staying up for it! I've got my energy drinks ready. (Because there's no way I'd wake up at 7am on a saturday and this episode is going to be amazing, I have a hunch)
Probably gonna record the chat too - the chat reactions can be hilarious. I'll be in one of the Bronystate rooms, don't know which one yet. I'm waiting to hear back from the other guy who normally records chat reactions so we don't do the same room.
I'm back. I had to stay after school to gather extra help from math. Onto the answering!
@Al_Skylark Ah, a bit sad to hear; and even I don't read much of the comments on those sections as much as I used to even though people's one-sentence insights were nice (the most hilarious is the Drawfriend #SOPA...so much making up stuff!). There's literally a ton of art out there, most mainstream, and underground. I contributed my part by giving them hits (via DeviantArt), and share relevant artwork to my other pony friends; for example, one friend of mine is fond of Applejack - so I send images/links of her.
@InfinityDash @InfinityDash I can't be surprised by the fact that MLP:FiM has very good music because I wasn't even aware there was a "My Little Pony" brand, so the impact wasn't as strong as the people who are stunned - same thing applies to the discovery of the show. That brand...owned by Hasbro...who owns Transformers, Scrabble, Monopoly, Sorry, Game of Life, and many others; and I didn't even know this company existed, I just ignored the company logo. Those brands, I played them when I was younger. oo; In spite of seeing those brands - I would yell out the company's name everytime I see or hear a brand owned by Hasbro themselves.
Onto the BG stuff, I must say; I have a lot of focus on background music more than lately. My beginnings of appericating background music started when I was actually a fan of video game music - listening them on YouTube, the Mario series, the first three PS1 Spyro games and GBA Spyro games, Plants vs. Zombies, video game music that I listened to even though I never played them before (Crono Trigger with "Corridors of Time" comes up to mind). Then I started listening to the Shrek background music, with the tune "Fairytale" being the most trademarked tune in the series (so much so that it was decided that it was pinned as the Dreamworks Animation tune). I started thinking of why people don't recognize these types of music; as most of the music that people listen usually contain lyrics. There's certainly more to it when hearing the lyrics. It is as if the background music was like a ghost, but it was contacting you through your ears without knowing until you take a critical look.
Speaking of background/film score (movie)/video game music - what are your favorite tunes? Which tunes stand out the most? 4 of you guys can participate in sharing. I'll say it after I hear them.
@I Bring Da LULZ The stream was fine. It was my second time I watched his stream, there wasn't much action other than mostly Team Fortress 2 (the first time I attended, it was very action-y as I remembered). I didn't watched the rest of it, but from what I heard, there was quick fanart of Mic x Potato, Mic spilling his 2 liter root beer soda all over his PC and the floor, and Phoe trying to be a Medic. The spontaneous announcement execution was a bit underwhelming, as Thursday or Friday is usually the least visited times of the week for the website - with Saturday through Monday being the highest (don't ask where I got it from, I don't know the link that provides this, but take my word for it).
@InfinityDash I'll get back to that; I gotta eat dinner.
@InfinityDash I most certainly am! Hell yeah! I won't like stay up all night since it starts at 16:00 for me :B But I will be there! Any stream of choice? We could hang out in one in concrete! I recommend, if he does it, Xyro's stream, streamed it in 1080p it was simply delicious.
@Ryan LONG ASS POST IS LONG! XD Welcome back lol And yeah, I know there's too much, it'd be crazy to put all there is and that is created EVERY SINGLE DAY every day in the drawfriends!

ReplyDeleteWOOOT!!
ReplyDeleteOn phone, can't watch. Darn. No story updates tonight?
ReplyDeleteyay
ReplyDeleteThis is gonna suuuuuck...
ReplyDeleteGive a little thank you to the mods.
Cool?
ReplyDeleteThis will be fun while I can listen, especially if it goes along the lines of the last one. Meeting up with friends in a bit, and while this may be epic, gotta stay in touch with those I know locally.
ReplyDeleteSorry, gotta sleep, maybe later...
ReplyDeleteTime for Mic to constantly interrupt everyone again! Yay~~~~~
ReplyDeleteFor the love of god please read the rules everyone. Pretty much an instaban if you break any, on account of the sheer number of participants in the chat.
ReplyDeleteDon't really like it.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you guys can explain just what is going on with Derpy yes?
ReplyDeleteI'd participate but I don't think of do well
ReplyDeleteThat and I have no idea how this stuff works...
Or have a mic for that matter...
*I'd
ReplyDelete@Soras Teva Gee I doubt it
ReplyDelete@Soras Teva Gee At least, not until they get something official.
ReplyDeleteWhy aren't some of us other movers and shakers of the community invited in on these fun little things, hmmmm?
ReplyDelete@Octavia
ReplyDeleteBecause we're not famous enough :c
/coughandtheresnoroomforall
Read the channel rules and realized it's not a place I want to be. Might as well add "If you like fun, you will be banned." My advice, don't give them any more web hits.
ReplyDeleteAh Livestream. Bane of my existence.
ReplyDelete@Al_Skylark
ReplyDeleteBetch, everypony knows me!
Plus, I'm kidding. ;)
@Octavia
ReplyDeleteI gotta touché that xD
That was actually really funny to me.
Plus I knew ;P
Ah, I'll have to attend next time, sadly. No time today.
ReplyDeleteNow if this only became weekly. Could swap who's on each week.
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame Mic has to hog the spotlight so much. I swear that guy can't go 2min without impromptu singing. Despite that, it's pretty fun to listen to.
ReplyDelete@Eversor Mundius
ReplyDeleteI know that feel bro. I have more HISTORY again, and I have to take a nap at the moment.
argh!
Just like last time, if Mic doesn't have the spotlight for more than five seconds, everyone has to "SHUTUPSHUTUPSTOPSHHHSHHHSHHH". ugh.
ReplyDeleteRegardless, it's always fun to see so many big names in one giant Skype chat :D
1000+ people... and we're just going to watch them play TF2?
ReplyDeleteThis kind of seems pointless. Was it appropriate to post it here? Is this something you think we should all see?
Maybe /co/ is making be a bit cynic but... I'm a little embarrassed they're advertising their little game session together like this.
I think I'm supposed to defend Mic's stream or something.
ReplyDeleteProbably say that if you don't like it, avoid it, and don't comment it.
I SHOULD say something like that.
But I won't.
I hate conflict.
@Octavia
ReplyDeleteOf course everyone knows you, you'd in almost everything and you put up a lot of good comments, your like what would be a normal commenter
Wouldn't be the same without ya
@Josh SpicerI am avoiding it. And I don't like conflict either, you can't make me get into an internet argument.
ReplyDeleteI just thought this was an unusual thing so I felt like commenting on how I felt about this.
@hyreia
ReplyDeleteOh I understand. You're not the only one who's questioning the need for an "EQD" stream, trust me.
I just shrug and go with it myself.
And I wasn't trying to start a conflict, I was being honest.
@Josh Spicer
ReplyDeleteJosh, you're a good mod, and Mic can be an immensely entertaining host -- when he's hosting alone.
ReplyDeleteTo make a long story short, listening to "internet famous" people talk to eachother or play games isn't entertaining, because they ignore everyone watching (it feels kind of degrading) and with 1000 people you cant have a conversation with other viewers or talk to the livestreamer.
That is my story, sorry if people disagree.
I don't mean to ask stupid questions, but HOW DO I JOIN?! I MUST KNOW!
ReplyDelete@naahdude
ReplyDeleteOh trust me, I am definitely against all things EQD stream, but there's not much I can really do to stop it. I've accepted that.
I just shrug, let it happen, and do my job.
@gclaw4444
ReplyDelete/brohug
It's not stupid, that's a normal feeling man.
Please don't make this a page with comments about how "mic's stream has changed" or "his stream his anti-fun."
ReplyDeleteI ask you this much.
@gclaw4444
ReplyDeleteEverytime someone mentions "internet famous" or "fandom famous" or something to that degree, I always try not to giggle. :P
@Josh Spicer
ReplyDelete/brohugs you too
Hey you do a wonderful job, the community thanks you for sure =)
Many people are entertained and you keep a sort of "control" to the chaos that it creates, so I say you must make people happy! Even if they don't know, so for that I thank you!
@Octavia
ReplyDeleteAwww don't laugh at him! They pretty much are famous x)
Or you're giggling at something else?
What is this.
ReplyDelete>Joins.

>Leaves.
For god's sake.
If your experience is like mine, you'll do this:
ReplyDelete* Open a new web browser window or tab
* Enter "www.livestream.com/micthemicrophone" because that's what it said at the bottom of the video
* See the message "This channel is locked. Unfortunately, micthemicrophone has been temporarily locked. All of micthemicrophone's videos will remain hidden until we can resolve the issue."
* Cry.
* Open the video on YouTube.
* See that "micthemicrophone" should be "micthemicrophonezero" in the URL.
* Open that.
* Rejoice.
@Josh Spicer
ReplyDeleteWell, let it be known we appreciate the work you do. Keep up the great work.
@Josh Spicer
ReplyDeletesorry about that, i just had to vent. i do suggest everypony go to the stream and at least try it out, it can be pretty awesome.
@Al_Skylark
ReplyDeleteI don't believe in "internet famous" or "fandom famous", to be honest. It's silly to me.
There not that famous. 1000 people there.
ReplyDeleteI want Trixie back :'(
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeletehmm Mic is a tad obnoxious IMO
ReplyDeleteI never understood these things. It's like all the famous people in the fandom get together and have fun. Which is pretty cool it itself, it's sort of like Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack going out together.
ReplyDeleteBut why are 1000 people watching them? It would be sweet if they were on a public server and we could play WITH them, but just them playing together, and no one from the public invited?
That just make people jealous that they weren't invited.
Hmmm... Don't really think this should be the type of thing on the front page WRITTEN IN ALL CAPS...
ReplyDeleteI've been listening for a bit, and it just seems to be a bunch of fairly well-known bronies circle jerking while largely ignoring the chat...
Sorry...
@Octavia
ReplyDeleteHehe, well when you have a lot of people following the stuff you do, for instance here in EQD, and I mean a LOT of people. It's considered being famous or at least mildly famous. Only yeah, in the internet.
They are obviously not hollywood stars or anything, and some even let it go to their heads a biiit too much. But you can't deny their "importance" of sorts :) (and they can earn a lot of money, there's also that xD)
@Al_Skylark
ReplyDeleteAlso sorry Octavia, didn't mean to offend you or anything with this last comment. Hope you see that x.x
@Al_Skylark
ReplyDeleteWell, some of us have done very big things for the community too. I was one of the very very first Bronies. But we don't get "special recognition" of any sorts. Calling yourself "internet famous" or such, to me, is like stroking your e-peen. I may sound kinda like a bitch right now, but that's honestly how I view it.
@Octavia
ReplyDeleteWell i was happy to reach over 1,000 views but i dont rally care i just like to comment on the stuff and art
@Travis Smith
ReplyDelete*really
@Octavia
ReplyDeleteI know you weren't responding to me, but I agree with you completely...
Awesome.
ReplyDeleteI ask people not to talk about stuff like this and they still do it.
Resume your discussions, my words are being ignored.
I wish I could just talk with them or just hang out or have a talent that lets me be included in higher ranking social rings.
ReplyDelete@Octavia
ReplyDeleteAh not at all Octavia!
@Josh Spicer
ReplyDeleteBut we're not talking about Mic's stream... =(
We're just chatting about the community in general.
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteMic's tumblr is another thing that put me off. The chubby tub, were all his followers go. I left degraded without even being his follower. I know he is kidding but that still doesn't mean it doesn't hurt to be unrecognized.
ReplyDeleteSeth should stay neutral and not get involved with outside parties. Its all politics with famous bronies and this fandom. People have their views and frankly, if ponies made you famous because nothing else you did ever has, I don't envy you.
ReplyDeleteIt's true that this fandom always needs material such as music, art and videos but recognition outside your own influence isn't respectable.
ReplyDeletesorry, i went to far with my last comment, just the thing this community doesn't need. Trying to stick to the positive, like how this post has made me come out of my commenting shell and i'll probably comment more on eqd
ReplyDeleteGET BETTER PHOE! :DDD
ReplyDelete@Scootawut
ReplyDeleteWell well now, a night of fun can also happen in EQD we all know that.
No need to go hating on that now.
Only news, fics and stuff could get a bit boring, especially for the authors. I don't mind a bit of fun from their part.
Plus, afterall is their site and they can do whatever they want pretty much.
And at least we have each other, chatting in here c:
@Scootawut
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit concerned as well.
@Al_Skylark
ReplyDeleteI know.
ReplyDelete@Octavia
ReplyDeleteSorry if I put you off, it really wasn't my intention =(
Tsk dammit and just when I was going to ask if I could email you. Oh well maybe some other time.
@Scootawut
ReplyDeleteIt's understandable, I'm just asking not to do a "Derpy" on them.
@Ryan
ReplyDeleteIn the "Outside world" such as non-bronies and etc, EqD has a pretty bad reputation.
@Al_Skylark
ReplyDeleteNo worries, it's not you. It's the community in general lately. I just feel like a lot of it has turned into a big popularity contest. It was my joke a little back that that is partially why the song "Becoming Popular" was so, well... popular.
@Octavia
ReplyDeleteI liked when EqD was just a friendly, small environment. Everyone knew everyone, no contest on who's the coolest.
@Al_Skylark
ReplyDeleteWe're on the same page.
@Scootawut
ReplyDeleteI agree. EqD is the central pub for this fandom, where the outside judges. EqD isn't that bad, but it needs to be at its best of we are going to raise the well were in with the reputation of the outside.
@octavia, skylark, scootand everyone else commenting
ReplyDeletethis is what i've missed really, just beng able to have sort of a conversation with random bronies, no fame, no fans, just people. just wanted to say thanks before i head off to sleep
@Ryan
ReplyDeleteFor better or for worse, an ideal FiM community just doesn't exist - they all have flaws that we have to either a) accept and live with, or b) accept and move on.
@gclaw4444
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome :) This has definitely been a refreshing conversation...
@gclaw4444
ReplyDeleteI do indeed miss this at times, even if I haven't participated very much on commenting.
ReplyDelete@Scootawut
ReplyDeleteEyup, as they say, a great power beholds a great responsibility.
@gclaw4444
ReplyDeleteThis is exactly what I was trying to do from the beginning!
@Scootawut
ReplyDeleteTrue on not having an ideal FiM website.
@Al_Skylark
ReplyDeleteThe people who judge us don't seek us, they wait for us.
@Ryan
ReplyDeleteWell, at least we're reading them! We could not have a decent conversation without that minimum :)
@GreatAndMightyChampion
ReplyDeleteQuite a valid point you have there.
@Al_Skylark
ReplyDeleteWe should probably be friends because of this. I noticed that you have an email address (and I don't - privacy reasons). Mind if I contact you during the weekend? I'm still pretty preoccupied...HW.
@Ryan
ReplyDeleteYeah, sometimes when I get overloaded by ponies and the fandom, I just take a break for a few days or maybe a week.
@Ryan
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! Feel free to mail me at any time =)
Funny thing I put it up just earlier to see if I could get in touch with Octavia xD
@Al_Skylark
ReplyDeleteLol.
Octavia's not hard to find. Octavia's usually around in the comments.
@Scootawut
ReplyDeleteAs long as there are people willing to have nice conversations there will be place for them =) And I'm honestly quite happy about it as well, as I don't normally like things like ponychan where you can barely hold a conversation.
Also as for breaks of the ponydom, I normally just lay off the fandom, the episodes are never a bother to me. Nor most of the music, just the interaction with the fans xD
@Al_Skylark
ReplyDeleteBasically. I just spot the highlights of the episodes, check the daily draw friends, and just comment around.
@Scootawut
ReplyDeleteI would be very surprised if the crew during the stream found out that me, Scootawut, Al_Skylark, GreatAndMightyChampion and Octavia found out we're the only ones chatting in this conversation where the blog post's purpose is for the announce of a stream still going on. We voiced our genuine concerns.
@Al_Skylark
I should go for Octavia as well, she(?) seems to be a withstanding veteran member of EqD, and I appericiate her(?) insight.
(I can't tell if your a guy or girl - and I know you created that name for that very bg pony)
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteOh I know that! But as I said earlier she's one of the famous people in here that I care to read when a entry gets crazy with 200+ comments. And she always have something to say that will either put a smile on me face or that I can agree with. So mad respect for her!
ReplyDeleteAnd at first I thought she was a guy... xD
So I would love to get to be her friend or something :)
I'm just generally around. Don't comment that much, and usually don't give opinions.
ReplyDeleteI like where the conversation is going, just getting to know some new faces, no debate, good times.
ReplyDelete@GreatAndMightyChampion
ReplyDeleteYes the Highlights are brilliant! I always love the work Cereal does in them :)
@Ryan
I -think- she's a she, she always refers herself as a she. She could be transgender for all we know. All I care is she's awesome, period xD
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteI started avoiding a bit the draw friends honestly, most of my friends are artists, and they've sent a lot of stuff to EQD that got rejected.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read her recent comments in the last...few days, weeks or so - but I assume almost all of them are as geninue as the comments she posted here.
ReplyDeleteBefore I go Al_Skylark, when did you first got in contact with the show?
ReplyDelete@Ryan
ReplyDeletePhew I don't even know, it was like early last year, then I started subtitling the episodes in spanish in youtube, and got to know about EQD and got more integrated in the fandom, and this happened at the starters of Season 2. I'm pretty much participating in the fandom since then. I'm honestly slow when it comes down to fandoms, so all this is still pretty new to me xD
@GreatAndMightyChampion
ReplyDeleteI would love to stay and chatter more, but I must go and sleep to face the next day of school; Friday...the last day of the week; 2.5 days of easy resting, goofing off, and HW, until Monday. I should contact to you as well since you sounded friendly. I'm watching for Al_Skylark to make the final bill before I'm excused.
@Ryan
ReplyDeleteHave a good night!
@Ryan
ReplyDeleteI became a fan by actually, making fun of them. Me and my friend Chris just got back from the navy, and checking the Internet lately, we saw the bronies, and laughed at how grown men liked mlp. Then I watched an episode, and it was pretty good.
@Octavia
ReplyDeleteHeyyy welcome back! Hope you feel better!
@Octavia
ReplyDeleteDamn you Octavia! XD
You suddenly popped up, and now I feel like sticking around a bit more because of you!
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteOh, and Octavia, since you're back!
ReplyDeleteThanks and good night!
@GreatAndMightyChampion
ReplyDeleteNormal case of brony infection. Navy pony, that's pretty awesome! I know a "lot" of folks that are in the military that love MLP :0
I wonder why is that? Because ponies are something nice and cute, and war sucks balls?
@Scootawut
ReplyDelete7am here (Stolckholm) Night I guess, America?
@Scootawut
ReplyDeleteHuh, I wrote you a message and it didn't went through, that's odd!
Oh well, good night man! And yeah, don't mind if I do, been meaning to make new friends inside the community!
@GreatAndMightyChampion
ReplyDelete7am here too... Europe ftw eh? xD
@GreatAndMightyChampion
ReplyDeleteI heard a lot of people who were fans were formerly haters and trolls; that attack FiM, and attack in general.
@Al_Skylark
ReplyDeleteEh, I feel about the same I guess. Less agitated than earlier I suppose. But I'm fine.
@Ryan
You don't have to stick around because of me. lol I probably won't be commenting much anyway.
@Scootawut
And thanks, umm... Scoots. lol You have a good night too.
@Al_Skylark
ReplyDeleteDon't know why honestly, I enjoyed my time though, I guess just.... Ponies? But yeah, Europe!
@Ryan
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't worry about Seth and them noticing us. They're too busy right now I reckon.
Reckon... now I'm Applejack apparently. lol
@Octavia
ReplyDeleteGoing anyway...tiring indeed, thank you for your presence, and once again - everyone else commenting. Someone should probably set a fuse at their chatroom and see us set a good example of how a fandom should be like. XP
@Octavia
ReplyDeleteOhhh I was just about to ask if you, with your experience, know if they mind these kind of chats in their entries.
Reckon is fine in my books P:
Also glad you are not feeling as agitated at least!
/thatwayicanaskforyourautographcough
@Ryan
ReplyDeleteHeh, I also was about to go but I just have to comment and say that I too like GreatAndMightyChampion started out as a hater, but converted after watching a few episodes to see exactly what I was making fun of people for!
I still remember watching my first episode - Swarm of the Century - and I was hating myself - but about half way through I was hooked and the rest is history, lol.
:P
@Scootawut
ReplyDeleteActually I remember posting, like a week before starting watching, in my Facebook, something like "It's funny, one wakes up one morning and everyone loves My Little Pony, I think I'm getting old". And then... well, I can say it was indeed funny xD
Last comment before I go. We should make it our "secret" chatbase here...unless someone discovers our activities. It would be so funny if people didn't notice.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, bye. Truly bye. Sleep time is my time!
@Al_Skylark
ReplyDeleteDat autograph. lol
As for these types of chats in the comments, not that I know of. I have seen Seth talk to people about it if they repeatedly say something short in a comment, then make another comment a moment later saying something else short they could have easily just condensed into the previous comment. But this isn't the first time a long serious discussion took over the comments here.
@Scootawut
ReplyDeleteYou just can't stay mad and hold hated to ponies. Impossible.
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDelete@Ryan
ReplyDeleteThat's what Bomb and Jelfes did. I think there's perhaps a long discussion still going on in one of the post's somewhere. I remember we made one hit it's cap of 5000 comments and had to move to another post to chat. By now it could be they filled up that one as well. lol
Second time EQD eats my comment today, and first time that has happened to me!
ReplyDeleteAnyways:
@Octavia
An autograph? What? For me? Ohhh you shouldn't have bother~!
Hm I see, good to know then. I figured so that they'd not allow spamming comments all the time (although I have been doing an awful lot of posts...), but wasn't sure about discussions. Tyanks!
@Octavia
ReplyDelete5000 .____.
Like that one with Fallout Equestria :L
That's pretty amazing! I would love to chat with them myself, and with Discord, I love the stuff he does with his name, that discords everything xD
@Al_Skylark
ReplyDeleteFE is the only time I've seen 5000.
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDelete@InfinityDash
ReplyDeleteOhhhh! I do know you!
@InfinityDash
ReplyDeleteHey. I don't usually have to worry, I never usually make opinions.
@Al_Skylark
ReplyDelete@GreatAndMightyChampion
Oh, this wasn't comments pertaining to the post content itself. This was just random chatting after people had already said what they wanted to. One of them was a music post. Probably had something like 30 comments to the post itself. Then the rest was just random talking between us all. lol
@InfinityDash
ReplyDeleteHHHHHHNNNNNNNNNNNNG.
@Al_Skylark
ReplyDeleteHeh, yeah I feel bad now for doing that, I felt like I was deceiving you guys. I'm often opinionated about things but refrain from saying anything because of fear of backlash... admittedly not the best quality in the world. :/
For those who want to know why I'm commenting again...I can't sleep somehow. :( Oh well, gonna tire myself out somehow.
ReplyDelete@InfinityDash
ReplyDeleteI think you'll be fine, Infinity. lol There are much stronger opinions around here that don't get anyone in trouble of flamed for. :P
@Octavia
ReplyDeleteHehe cool!
@InfinityDash
Woha, it's understandable really, and it wasn't deceiving at all, since you DID say you weren't using your real account AND also you used your real just now, so any deceiving thing should be gone by now xD
Also Ryan go to bed, you need to be clear for tomorrow! /says the guy who hasn't sleep in all night
@Ryan
ReplyDeleteYep, that's me :). And I agree William Anderson's work is underrated - and hopefully some of the stuff I and others have done have helped to change that. Daniel Ingram often rightfully takes the spotlight, but without Anderson's awesome work the episodes wouldn't have nearly as much life in them.
@Octavia
Yeah, heh. I know. I feel dumb and somewhat cowardly for even assuming that now...
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDelete@InfinityDash
ReplyDeleteI agree 100% with that about William Anderson! I often find myself whistling background songs more than the actual catchy-as-hell songs xD
Anyone remember that one where the CMC are going around ponyville trying to find their special talents and it's all in a "sort of montage" thing? That song is still haunting me ;_;
@InfinityDash
ReplyDeleteNot cowardly. I shalt dont post opinions cause I'm afraid to get backfired on.
@GreatAndMightyChampion
ReplyDeleteWe can always continue tomorrow, do like Ryan and Octavia said, meet here and do more random chatting :)
I'm going to put this page under my favorites to not forget the link (cause I will forget the link due to my damn brain)
@Al_Skylark
ReplyDeleteSame here! I'll sometimes just randomly find myself humming that song.
@GreatAndMightyChampion
ReplyDeleteJust make this our secret chatbase. It'll be perfect!
@Al_Skylark
Attempting to go to sleep, wish me luck!
Everyone else, let's come back here tomorrow for another day of chatting.
@Ryan
ReplyDeleteG'luck man!
@GreatAndMightyChampion
ReplyDeleteLol! Yeah that's still one of my favorite bits of BGM.
The one that really got me to notice the BGM for the first was Photo Finish's music - that's when the thought occurred "Wait what am I listening to -- this is My Little Pony?!" Lol
@Ryan
I've bookmarked this too, good night! I've given up on trying to get to sleep now, at least for a little while
Just noticed that the event is over. Be weird if Seth checked the latest comments.
ReplyDelete@InfinityDash
ReplyDeleteThat one's also brilliant!
Captures the character perfectly. And now that I listen to it, it also reminds of some sort of "about to get to the climax" music for a spies movie xD
@GreatAndMightyChampion
ReplyDeleteThat'd be a bit doubtful, he probably has his hands full of next day, updates of stuff, and mails.
@GreatAndMightyChampion
ReplyDeleteOh wow lol, I originally came to the comments to make a quick remark and be done, but instead I've been here for 3 hours! O_O
Holy crap
@InfinityDash
ReplyDeleteLol. Same for the rest of the 4 here.
@Al_Skylark
ReplyDeleteI was a tiny bit sad that Derpy didn't get her own great BGM during her scene in TLR.
Awesome stuff.
Yes... I ain't even gonna sleep today xD And I should have been working aaaand I have not! Yay for procrastinating with new friends!
ReplyDelete@InfinityDash
ReplyDeleteOh and you can hear it in The Last Roundup here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3hUrbjvnNR4&hd=1&t=6m45s
@InfinityDash
ReplyDeleteOh god yes, The Last Roundup has become my favorite episode by far, it has everything I like, music, sad drama that will turn into good but you don't know how, Derpy, adventure, action, Applejack. Hell to be the perfect episode they just needed to add Scootaloo, and voila! My life would have been complete x) AND I SIMPLY LOVED THAT THEME, Like omg, my favorite ending credits of all the show, the song was hnnng Is one of the ones I STILL humm today!
/by the way, there goes another subscriber for you ;) MySpanishTie is meh!
ReplyDelete@InfinityDash
ReplyDeleteYeah, I could imagine her back-theme with deep trombones, kind of silly and such. Although the background-sounds just related to the action in scene.
Yeah, lots of chatting has been going on here in the past few hours. lol As for sleeping, eh, I still have a few more hours or so beofre it's bedtime for me.
ReplyDeleteWestern Coast Octavia?
ReplyDelete@Al_Skylark
ReplyDeleteNah, I'm on the Eastern side right now. I just tend to be up late with various things.
I think derpys theme would sound something along the lines of this: http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=%2Findex%3Fdesktop_uri%3D%252F%26gl%3DUS&desktop_uri=%2F&gl=US#/watch?v=B_LWGPQBpMs
ReplyDelete@Octavia
ReplyDeleteohhh kays! I have a lot of friends in Cali and they are always like 9 hours away from me xD And I'm in the future for them!
@GreatAndMightyChampion
ReplyDeleteIdk if I may have copypasted it wrong, but it doesn't seem to work for me! Use the share thingie in youtube, and copypaste the lil link it appears. It's easier that way!
@GreatAndMightyChampion
ReplyDeleteThe link is borked, but I assume you meant the last part: /watch?v=B_LWGPQBpMs
If so -- yeah, I could definitely see that working for Derpy! I sorta imagined something like Groose's theme from Skyward Sword :P
On my iPad. Mobile YouTube version, probably why it didn't work al.
ReplyDeleteAllllright - it's been fun. But it's now midnight here in California and I've got to be up in 6 hours sooo I'll see you guys later!
ReplyDeleteTime to sing the sleep song!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qKr3YHEbCxU
@InfinityDash
ReplyDeletelol That's a kinda cute unique little tune. I like it. I think that could work for her.
@InfinityDash
ReplyDeleteLmao. I love that part of that one. I've done that too in real life. Haha.
@InfinityDash
ReplyDeleteIt doesnt' fail! 9 hours exactly, it's 9:08am here xD
Have a good night man! Good to have chat with you :)
@Octavia
ReplyDeleteBISCUITS AND GRAVYYYYY!
I love how she seems to have a seizure in bed xD
Morning/Night everyone, leaving.
ReplyDelete@GreatAndMightyChampion
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day!
I would love to catch one of these someday, but confound these timezones! They make me miss pony!
ReplyDeleteConfound Working nightshift. I miss all the awesome stuff :(
ReplyDeleteWowie zowie, that was a lot of comments to read o_O
ReplyDeleteI haven't been keeping in touch with Mic or his stream lately, so I was a little surprised to see a lower rating than I expected for the stream announcement post. Considering how popular Mic is, I was under the impression a stream with him and a bunch of other big-name bronies having fun together would be something the people would enjoy.
@I Bring Da LULZ
ReplyDeleteOh don't get confused many many people did enjoy it, hell the stream got to a crazy 1000 hits. But some felt too degraded by it, the chat gets too clogged and fast to read anything really, and it felt they were being ignored. And then there's the whole fame thing, people is upset because it seems if you're famouse you're not worth it.
It's only normal =)
At least we managed to have a decent civilized discussion about it, instead of just spamming with insults and stuff.
@Al_Skylark
ReplyDeleteIf you're not*
lol, I woke up as if sensing a disturbance in the force when this happened again, but this time I convinced myself it was nothing, and ended up missing out big-time. Oh well. I should trust my Pinkie Sense in the future.
ReplyDeleteI missed it AGAIN?!
ReplyDeleteAAAAAAAAUUUUUGGGGHHHH!!!
@Al_Skylark
ReplyDeleteYou, sir, are exceptionally level-headed. Your thoughts are most enlightening. It's really great to see such a sensible discussion.
ReplyDeleteI will respond to the rest of the unread comments when I'm done with school for today.
@Dusklight
ReplyDelete! Thank you for those kind words!
@Ryan
Morning Ryan, have a good day at school!
ReplyDeleteProbably gonna record the chat too - the chat reactions can be hilarious. I'll be in one of the Bronystate rooms, don't know which one yet. I'm waiting to hear back from the other guy who normally records chat reactions so we don't do the same room.
@Ryan - I'm also on pacific time
I'm back. I had to stay after school to gather extra help from math. Onto the answering!
ReplyDelete@Al_Skylark
Ah, a bit sad to hear; and even I don't read much of the comments on those sections as much as I used to even though people's one-sentence insights were nice (the most hilarious is the Drawfriend #SOPA...so much making up stuff!). There's literally a ton of art out there, most mainstream, and underground. I contributed my part by giving them hits (via DeviantArt), and share relevant artwork to my other pony friends; for example, one friend of mine is fond of Applejack - so I send images/links of her.
@InfinityDash
@InfinityDash
I can't be surprised by the fact that MLP:FiM has very good music because I wasn't even aware there was a "My Little Pony" brand, so the impact wasn't as strong as the people who are stunned - same thing applies to the discovery of the show.
@I Bring Da LULZ
The stream was fine.
@InfinityDash
I'll get back to that; I gotta eat dinner.
***Wow. That's a lot of talking/typing I made.***
Back, and doing HW.
ReplyDelete@InfinityDash
ReplyDeleteI most certainly am! Hell yeah!
I won't like stay up all night since it starts at 16:00 for me :B But I will be there! Any stream of choice? We could hang out in one in concrete!
I recommend, if he does it, Xyro's stream, streamed it in 1080p it was simply delicious.
@Ryan
LONG ASS POST IS LONG! XD
Welcome back lol And yeah, I know there's too much, it'd be crazy to put all there is and that is created EVERY SINGLE DAY every day in the drawfriends!
