Hopefully I can get some next time. I am waiting to hear reports on rather or not they are complete sets or just 24 random bags from the people who ordered them. I hope they restock these at some point soon though. 100% chance they will sell out again, so it's not like it would be a bad idea for Hasbro to keep restocking them.
Jobs in the tech industry I assume, at least that's where I get mine. Lots of bronies are fairly nerdy, so they probably got tech based degrees, and then got fairly high paying jobs straight out of college.
All right, everyone start making bets on how long it will take stores everywhere to run out of stock once they release the new toys that've been getting so much attention today.
@Pegasus Rescue Brigade I suggest we attack the fourth wall. I call first visit with Twilight Sparkle, since I have a small library's worth of math and physics textbooks.
Looked at Hasbro's site before bed last night and I was so excited, but also sleepy, so I was all like I'll just order them when I wake up. Woke up and instantly got my credit card out, went to the site and needless to say I started cussing everypony on this site. Later I started loving and tolerating everypony again, but I am still one sad brony...
@MyLittleBrony421 Don't you worry about the kids. For every pony toy I buy for myself, I've bought two that I've given away to people at work to give to their kids. I'm sure a lot of people here do something quite similar.
As for what's my (high paying tech) job, I shovel exotic manure for a living.
I really, and I mean really, doubt that these were aimed at anyone other than collectors or bronies. Or that a demographic other than those two would have any interest in purchasing pony figurines by the case.
I was going to say I'm surprised they sold so fast considering they don't contain all unique characters... but no. Still not surprised they sold so easily. :P
@Octavia That's essentially what I'm hoping to clear up once mine arrives. I'm betting that it's your standard assorted case - nice little rows, in order, of bags containing each figurine. I've no reason to believe that, just because this is a direct-to-consumer affair, these are packaged any differently than the identical cases they ship to retail outlets.
So thrilled when I saw that boxes were on sale, but was tired and decided to sleep on it, little did I realise how high the demand was! ^^ Still just as well I've already spent a bit too much on buying up sets from ebay. Hopefully they'll restock after my next paycheck. Good work everypony if they sold that well perhaps Hasbro will start accomadating us more, maybe even provide us with a DVD season boxset. ^^
Most likely they are the same cases. Only unboxed from larger brown cases of course. lol You may get lucky and receive one with all unique ones. Though it'll be somewhat rare. Take a bit o luck.
We really could turn over something big, did you notice Seth? You could literally send us over to some place, and we will raid it. I arrived too late to this, and now I can't has blind bags ;_; The blind bags of MLP:FiM will turn into the Shinny Pokémon for me. Everypony has one, but me.
I'm joking, of course. I have a lovely colection of MLP toys and McDonalds toys, and that's good for me :D
I put my order in just now, i'll give my report on what figures my box contains when it arrives.
Also, fyi for those who wish to order. Hasbro doesn't like PO boxes and if you do Paypal you have to have money in your account already as Hasbro also wants instant payments.
I wanted to have this sent to my PO box that I use for my online sells/ordering but it wouldn't let me, so I had to have it sent to my house directly.
@ SCK, I'm not a "he," I'm a "she," but whatevs. :)
I was terribly disappointed when I wasn't able to get one the first time they were posted. I checked back periodically to see if they'd be back and as soon as I saw that they were available for purchase again, I posted here and in the earlier thread.
I wonder, did anyone who placed an order over the weekend buy more than one set? I ask because I had wanted to get an additional set as a gift, but I couldn't, there was a limit of one. It'd be interesting to know if they originally didn't limit purchases, but now, because of demand, they will only sell one per order.
Good luck with your purchases, bronies! I look forward to the reports when you get your shipments!

I never got a chance :(
ReplyDeleteThey sell out pretty much everywhere they show up. Hopefully that'll encourage them to up supply (and assortments) to feed the demand.
ReplyDeleteNeither did I, apparently, lol... :(
ReplyDeleteNOOOOOOO!!! I wanted some. They better get back in stock soon XD
ReplyDelete@Nymo
ReplyDeleteYou never stood one. :P
Well that didn't take long. Also, I will be ninja'd for first.
ReplyDeleteYou can have the ponies, or you can have whatever's in the Mystery Figure Case Pack!
ReplyDeleteWas there ever any doubt?
ReplyDeleteAww nuts. Should have seen this coming. Oh well.
ReplyDeleteIm pretty sure they went out of stock an hour or two after you advertised it, you're quite late!
ReplyDeleteThis is old news, they sold out about three hours after they were posted here.
ReplyDeleteI wanted one :c
ReplyDeleteDamn that's like Blizzcon tickets gone quick.

ReplyDeleteThey were the blindbag figures available as a box set from Hasbro's online store.
Huh. It took an hour longer than I thought it would.
ReplyDeleteWell shit...
ReplyDeletehehe i got my box :3
ReplyDeleteWhy are we so powerful collectively?
ReplyDeleteSeriosuly Seth, you should order us to go and... attack something. I don't know. But you know we'd do it.
Are you fucking kidding o___________o
ReplyDeleteTo bad I was to late to buy one :c
ReplyDeleteLOL, they had no idea we would buy that many.
ReplyDelete"Yeah, you always run out!"
LOL
ReplyDeleteWhere do bronies get all their money?!
ReplyDelete@Pegasus Rescue Brigade
ReplyDeleteWhy not the Daily Show's old innocent target standby, Belgium. We could take Belgium.
@Jordan Where's the Flim Flam brothers when you need them?
ReplyDelete@Altherix
ReplyDeleteThey'd just rush production and we'd end up with a Pinkie Pie that looked like Quasimodo.
Ha! Nicely done, my friends.
ReplyDeleteClearly they were outclassed
ReplyDeleteHopefully in the future Hasbro have more in stock, and they'll will ship outside of North America.
ReplyDeletedamnnnnniiiiiiiittttttttt.... make more Hasbro!

Hey, I'm happy I have the 12 piece collection set... the only thing I wanted was to pick up one blindbag pegasus to recolor to Derpy.
ReplyDeleteLol this was mean.
ReplyDeleteHahahaha.
ReplyDeleteAll right, everyone start making bets on how long it will take stores everywhere to run out of stock once they release the new toys that've been getting so much attention today.

@TheBlankedFile BlizzCon tickets? Please. Those things sell out in literally seconds.
ReplyDeleteHasbro's starting to realize they've been sitting on a gold mine.
ReplyDeleteThis is actually a pretty good showing. If there was anything to ever show the buying power of at toy that is vaunted by the bronies. Then tada.
ReplyDelete@jingerjargon
ReplyDeleteNo! It BURNS!
But the architecture is nice.
I didn't know those were for sale already... :c
ReplyDelete"These other Bronies have so much money." - Adolf Hitler
ReplyDeleteI'm starting to think Hasbro is planning to move from toys and games to world domination.
ReplyDeleteIn other news. Whitney Houston passed away!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat was that about there not being enough prospective buyers for a DVD set?
ReplyDelete:( I was going to order a box tomorrow... *cries*
ReplyDelete@Joey Wonton
ReplyDeleteI assume working :P
Hasbro must be thrilled.
ReplyDeleteSeriously this is the kind of stuff that will make them take notice of us even more. Having a stronger voice is always plus
dude, random comment
ReplyDeletesaw this coming :P I kinda wanted it too :<
ReplyDeleteHasbro liked us once, but pretty soon if not already they will love us.
ReplyDeleteAges 3 and up?
ReplyDeleteGuys that's us!
:P
@Pegasus Rescue Brigade
ReplyDeleteWe're pretty much EQD's personal army.
And I'm ok with that.
Yeah, we kinda are Hasbro's Cash Cow...
ReplyDeleteDAMN dude we are crazy
ReplyDelete@Pegasus Rescue Brigade
ReplyDeleteI suggest we attack the fourth wall. I call first visit with Twilight Sparkle, since I have a small library's worth of math and physics textbooks.
This is why Hasbro loves EqD so much...
ReplyDelete@Joey Wonton
ReplyDeleteI write computer software for a living. Not sure about the others.
and none of them are going to be owned by a little girl.
ReplyDeletei missed this round...
ReplyDeleteI can imagine the some little girls crying after their parent tells them that they're out of stock.
ReplyDeleteHoly shit, bronies are one rich bunch.
ReplyDeleteC'Mon RESTOCK ALREADY!!!
ReplyDeleteC'Mon RESTOCK ALREADY!!!
ReplyDeleteI was going to make a Mr Burns excellent but then I realized it kind of sucks XP
ReplyDeleteGreat job everyone. This is what we need, to show Hasbro that we are a serious money source.
ReplyDeleteHey everyone they blind bags are on sale! ... and now they're gone! Epic win everyone!

Awww, come on everypony, leave some for the kids... and also the bronies that are slow on the uptake. :(
ReplyDelete@MyBoyJ
ReplyDeleteMLP / Hunchback of Notre Dame crossover?
Eh, I've seen weirder.
I must say you guys really impress me sometimes, maybe this will convince Hasbro to convince DVD Shout to give us season box sets

ReplyDeleteShe was a famous singer or something?
Oh well, R.I.P. and stuff, I guess.
@Spikely Whiplash
ReplyDeleteOsama bin Laden was also obsessed with her, before he got shot in the head by SEAL Team 6.
.... AHAHAHAHAH!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI feel sorry for all the little girls who don't have any pony toys due to tons of bronies buying them first.
ReplyDeleteLooked at Hasbro's site before bed last night and I was so excited, but also sleepy, so I was all like I'll just order them when I wake up. Woke up and instantly got my credit card out, went to the site and needless to say I started cussing everypony on this site. ReplyDeleteHasbro should allow back orders so bronies can reserve one in line and when they come in stock they automatically ship.
ReplyDeleteAnd only the little girls suffered for it.
ReplyDeleteFuuuuuuck
ReplyDelete@Joey Wonton
ReplyDeleteAt our six-figure tech jobs.
...what, you didn't actually buy into that "basement dweller" BS, did you?
@MyLittleBrony421 Don't you worry about the kids. For every pony toy I buy for myself, I've bought two that I've given away to people at work to give to their kids. I'm sure a lot of people here do something quite similar.

ReplyDeleteHasbro you better make more than four Trixies for the fall set or I will be forced to fashion one out of my own flesh.
ReplyDeleteWell, I was going to send a thank you card to Hasbro for white Celestia, but ya know, this works too.
ReplyDelete@Octavia

ReplyDeleteNOOO!! I was going to get them with tax money next week!!! Back to hunting at Wal-Mart and Toys R Us. :(

ReplyDeletei just bought one. :D
I saw this when it was first posted, and was like they are gonna go fast. Was considering ordering too.
ReplyDeleteI would love to of seen Hasbro's reaction to how fast those sold. Put up one of the more popular products, hours later all sold out.
@khyron
ReplyDeleteI only ordered one, so I have no idea if there was a limitation the first go-round.
Just got mine. There are no duplicates. All 24 ponies are present.
