ReplyDeleteIf I remember right, the typically remove any votes from newly created Twitter accounts or Twitter accounts that appear to exist as simply a voting bot.
In past years the suspicious votes or votes from new twitter accounts were removed manually when everything was being tallied, but it's possible they automatically don't allow votes from brand new twitter accounts now.

And yes, according to the rules retweets count as votes. So it is allowed to fill in the reason in advance and just ask your followers to retweet that.

So yeah, apparently new accounts are not qualified to vote. I voted twice and it seems like my vote didn't count, but then I am not an overly active twitter user so maybe there is an inactive period that it checks to see if you qualify or not.
