She decided a while ago that she was Rarity, and he was Twilight Sparkle. And... she died last night. So, I'm trying to find people willing to put together some Twilight/Rarity pictures to help out. #1: The recent spate of Inky drawings seems to mostly be the work of Speccy (who drew this one) and Saturnspace; I wish more artist would draw her, though, as this drawing shows her color scheme lends itself well to some really creative images.
ReplyDelete#2: Speaking of Saturnspace... I'm not really fond of her depiction of Derpy as being forward and the Doctor as reluctant, and this comes from a comic that's definitely NSFW, but this drawing's pretty cute on its own.
#3: And another Saturnspace drawing, sad but well-drawn, with nice use of color and detail depicting the couple trying to connect while separated. Dunno if it's inspired by the recent kerfuffle over Derpy or not...
#4: Twilight looks a little out of it, but I like this method of depicting her magic...

#14: Love the textures on this ominous drawing of the Nightmare Moon prophecy.
#15: Nice drawing of Pinkie & "rule 63" Pinkie in a rather spooky situation.
#16: Derpy may not be fond of English muffins, but she has no problem with English biscuits. Cute pic.
#17: Dunno why Twilight's taunting Trixie, but I like the expressions.
#18: I think my expression would be much like Scootaloo's.
#19: I appreciate the sentiment behind the drawing, but I don't think Derpy would react like that.

(And given the artist's request in his description, I think it'd be good to add a note about that in the description of the pic in the Drawfriend listing.)
#27: I get the feeling that Derpy really loves Valentine's Day. (I've also been under the impression that the flying letters that she's frequently drawn with are a stylistic choice, not evidence that she's a careless mailmare.) ;) Love her pose in this drawing.
#28: Nice portrait of Dash with Tank; I particularly like the clouds.
#29: A bit more anthropomorphic than I generally like, but surprised Fluttershy is always cute.

As for the rest, aside from the unusually high amount of sauce (AGAIN!), this drawfriend ranged from D'awww to HNNNNNG.
You guys are getting better and better at making your art speak for itself, not only in the styling and skill, but also in the stories which it tells. I'm seeing more and more thought-provoking stuff which really hits home and makes me stop to ponder life.
But of course there is always plenty of cute and funny art to make me laugh and squee. That's why I love this fandom!
...but seriously, the saucy stuff needs to be sent to the moon. (#5, and #30 to be exact! #2... I'm not sure what's going on there.)

ReplyDeleteyou just had to make me cry with #26! that reminded me of my niece and how she loved hanging out with me and play Trauma Center and Sonic Rings back in the day before my brother turned into a douchebag and decided to be a druggy and pawn my stuff! (Wii and everything else) and even though I told her I sold the stuff he never let her come over because he had "no money" to treat her.
ReplyDeleteI never saw my niece again after the time him and his ex had a fight about him not wanting to see his daughter.
thankfully she's alive and well but reading that touching story as it reminded me about my niece just to read the very next line "she died last night" made me tear up.
I can't imagine how hard I'd cry if I heard my niece died like that. I hope he ain't trolling, sounds legit (god I hope so), I hope the community pitches in with some nice works for her memorial. That was too sad >< totally not what I wanted to see before going back to bed!

Quite a few people disagree and think that "Inky' is Octavia when she was younger ( The name still fits as Octavias Nickname if you use Pinkie Logic) As Octavia's first appearance gave hint of knowing Pinkie personally and Octavia and "Inky" both have vary similar colors (other then her hair which can be explained as it changing over time)
I had an enthusiastic comment prepared for some of the first 25 pictures but after the 26th it doesn't seem appropriate to put it in here. I ffel for you, man. I really do.

To my main point, I checked back on something and saw the description of 26, I had avoided it when people mentoned it becuase I do not like sad things but now that it's up and I have read it I feel I have to put something down. While nothing I can write is at all appropriate I simply feel I need to say that they have my condolences, for what they are worth.
