Earlier a post went up pointing out that The Last Roundup was released on iTunes finally. Sadly, it looks like she was actually modified. Her voice is different, and Rainbow Dash no longer names her.
This was in the SD version, I am not sure if the HD on my laptop is different. I am currently re-downloading it in HD To double check on my computer.
You can find the new Derpy after the break.
UPDATE: Both versions of the episode have been modified.
UPDATE 2: As a reminder, The Friendship Express DVD is untouched, Derpy is still Derpy (At least in the ones we got, which are pretty much the same as far as we know)

ReplyDeletefirst and what!!!!
ReplyDeletethey cant change it!!!
Excellent. I'm glad that they changed her voice so she at least sounds like a girl.
ReplyDeleteYeah, no.
ReplyDeleteSad, but expected.
ReplyDeleteWHATTT?
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
ReplyDeleteoh this is gold.
ReplyDeleteI love her new voice! But they don't call her by name, that's just sad.
ReplyDeleteBut she will always be remembered as Derpy. We won't forget.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if all this could have been avoided if Tabitha had originally gone with this new voice instead of the original one based on her neighbor's boy the first time around.
ReplyDeleteThe new voice is cute, but awfully generic...
ReplyDeleteNOOO..... I liked the old one.....
ReplyDeleteDon't like. :(
ReplyDeleteHmm...not liking this. I'm glad I got the version before this.
ReplyDelete#savederpy
ReplyDeleteHasbro, I am disappoint.
ReplyDeleteSo basically, according to Hasbro, we have now entered into a world where Derpy Hooves is officially more "offensive" than the Muslim prophet Mohammed.
ReplyDeleteThis world sickens me.
Voice change = OK. Taking her name away = NOT OK! why!? :(
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that I have the original...I have it backed up just in case something happens to it. New voice is worst voice.
ReplyDeleteThis has got to be fake. Please.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like they kept her eyes derped though, so it's not TOO bad.
ReplyDeleteSad, but expected.
ReplyDeleteThis is very upsetting.
ReplyDeleteI hope you're happy, Yamino. Thanks for fucking it up for everyone else.
ReplyDeleteI actually like her new voice, but I wish they hadn't edited out her name! D:
ReplyDeleteI wonder if this will be the version on the DVD. I hope not.
ReplyDeleteWhat was even the point?
ReplyDeleteWhy? Just why?
ReplyDeleteAww, that's kinda boring of them, and her old voice was just awesome.
ReplyDeleteinb4 dumb blonds
ReplyDeleteThe new voice doesnt bother me, but removing her name? thats really not good. perhaps another Change.org is needed
ReplyDeleteWhy, Hasbro, why?!?!?!?!
ReplyDeleteI don't hate this new voice, the episode just seems violated, though
ReplyDeleteI'll be honest, I actually like this voice a little better. The original laid it on a bit heavy, in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteI actually prefer this new voice
ReplyDeleteI liked the original Derpy voice more
ReplyDeleteThere are no words to fully portray my disappointment.
ReplyDeleteNO NO NO DAMMIT NO just NO ugh If anypony needs me I'll be in the angry dome.
ReplyDeleteThis....... is not as good.
ReplyDelete@Kruegershy Her eyes have been un-derped mostly from the original. They are still a 'little' derped, but nowhere near what we're used to.
ReplyDeleteI just don't know what went wrong.
ReplyDelete...
ReplyDeleteThis is.. horrible.
Disgusting, Hasbro. Just... disgusting. This is the first time I've EVER felt dissapointed or upset at what you've done.
I feel sick.
I like the new voice but the whole scene seems out of sync now. -_-
ReplyDeleteThey better call her derpy or at least ditzy in a later episode.
I like her new voice, but I hate how they don't actually call her Derpy.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, that was was very bad editing. Even Rainbow's new lines sounded terrible.
ReplyDeleteI like her voice now, but not as much as her old voice! Derpy forever in my heart.
ReplyDeleteDAAAAAAAAMMMMMNNNN YOOOOOOOOOOOOUUU HAAAAAAAASSSSBROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
ReplyDeleteDont know how i should feel...
ReplyDeleteget me off this planet NOW
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna go against the crowd here and say that I actually like this new voice better than the previous one. It's still upsetting to see Dashie no longer saying her name though. =/
ReplyDeleteThis will cause some to exit the fandom sadly.
ReplyDeleteThis must be about more than the voice, or they would not have removed the name. Some asshole probably made a complaint about the legal status of the name.
ReplyDeleteWell, I like how she now kinda sounds like BDR, but idk.
ReplyDeleteUh oh...
ReplyDeleteaw man! oh well I expected this. I still have the original though ^_^
ReplyDeleteAGHHHH FFFFFUUUUUUU!!!!! HASBRO Y U CHANGE DERPY!?!?!?!?!?
ReplyDeleteThe voice change is alright. I guess it sounds a bit better. The name removal was unnecessary and a bit disappointing, though.
ReplyDeleteThe new voice doesn't bother me. Could be worse, the whole scene could have been taken out.
ReplyDeleteI prefer the old voice, it sounded better when she spoke loudly. It would be better if they got Tabitha St. Germain to voice her with a more feminine voice. ( I don't think it's her in this version)
ReplyDeleteWAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
ReplyDeleteWHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!
WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WHAT.
ReplyDeleteTHE.
HELL.
QQ
On second thought. The new voice needs more work.
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of the SNL Sinead O'Connor deal 20 years ago. If you were lucky enough to catch it when it originally aired, you could see a small piece of television history that was later edited out.
ReplyDelete*sigh* This is soo sad. The voice seems like there's been no effort whatsoever put into it... the lines are delivered flatly, and have no charm or personality... This is a sad day for Derpy.
ReplyDeleteWHY. GOD DAMNIT, WHY.
ReplyDeletehttp://i.imgur.com/K1da4.png
I don't hate this new voice, the episode just seems violated, though
ReplyDeleteThere be a shitstorm a' brewin'
ReplyDeleteI prefer the new voice, actually, she sounds like a mare now... but not calling her Derpy? :/
ReplyDeleteThere is and never was anything insulting in that term/name.
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteWell her voice is more female and kind of okay with that but not saying her name WHAT!?
ReplyDeleteMan I was hoping there would be no shitstorm this week...
ReplyDeleteI feel like the voice no longer fits the lines they gave her. I like the new voice, but it doesn't go with what she's saying. Also I don't like the removal of her name.
ReplyDeleteYeah, old voice sounds more . . . Derpy. I don't like the new, at all. :/
ReplyDeleteReally hasbro.....really..
ReplyDeleteOkay I saw the eyes now I know how I should feel, I am dissapointed
ReplyDeleteAt least Kyrospawn's Soundboard still has the old voice.
ReplyDeleteThis is horrible.
ReplyDeleteThey changed Rainbow Dash's lines and delivery, and made it MUCH less funny.
Derpy's new voice is really annoying, and generic.
This episode just got raped because of a few stupid trolls. It's South Park's 201 all over again, but for even even dumber, and vastly more unacceptable reasoning.
NNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhy would YOU DO THAT ITUNES!!111111one!
I thought you cared about us!1!
Don't you know that WE LOVE DERPY!!!
crap, love the fact they gave her the name we chose for her...still the voice its ok, just wish they cheeped the name
ReplyDelete:(
I am very unhappy. This is NOT cool. They changed it so much. At least I got the real Derpy before this crud happened.
ReplyDeleteI don't hate this new voice, the episode just seems violated, though
ReplyDeleteSo, this is... Last Roundup Special Edition?
ReplyDeletehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jVhdKoU69DA
ReplyDeleteSon, I am disappoint. :/
ReplyDeleteI am very unhappy. This is NOT cool. They changed it so much. At least I got the real Derpy before this crud happened.
ReplyDeleteDuck and cover!!
ReplyDeleteNo DERP NO DERP!!! YOU DARE CALL THAT ENTERTAINMENT!!!!!
ReplyDeleteNice job to all the shiny people who seek out stuff to get offended by!
ReplyDeleteI disapprove of this
ReplyDeleteI'm OK with the new voice...Just sad about not hearing her being called Derpy by Rainbow Dash...
ReplyDeleteTo quote the kid next to me, "I hate this politically correct bullshit."
ReplyDeleteDerpy's old voice was much cuter, and I don't like that she is unnamed. It's not nearly as big of a deal as it has made out to be.
The voice change is alright. I guess it sounds a bit better. The name removal was unnecessary and a bit disappointing, though.
ReplyDeleteDif voice no prob. But i mean.. really the name removed?
ReplyDeleteAAUUUUUUUUUGGGGGHHHHHH
ReplyDeletewhy does my day keep having to get worse?
ReplyDeleteI want the old Derpy hooves back.
Hey, maybe if we get angry enough, itunes will change it back to the original.
I just checked the HD stream through my AppleTV, and yep, Derpy has a new voice.
ReplyDeleteThe new voice sounds so... generic. I don't like it. At least I still have my original version of the episode.
WWWWWHHHHHHYYYYYYY?!
ReplyDeleteAroo?
ReplyDeleteThis is a joke right? What was the point of these edits?
I know I said I'm not as emotionally attached to this character as the others seem to be, but these edits were completely unnecessary. The old voice was perfectly fine... now she sounds too normal and coherent, I having a real difficult time looking at this new version and viewing this character as the accident prone mare they originally surprised us with. Heck, they might as well normalize the eyes too if they're going to "fix" more of what wasn't broke!
She doesn't sound derpy anymore...
ReplyDeleteSo originally everyone quickly got over and, for lack of a better term, used to Derpy's original voice being really, really weird. Switching to this voice therefore feels wrong. If this had been the original voice then no-one would be saying that it's wrong and a travesty.
ReplyDeletedaammiiiiittttttt!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhelp, this does dampen my enthusiasm from earlier a little bit. At least she sounds like a girl now, but I had actually grown to like her other voice. Not only that, but HER NAME IS DERPY, IT HAST ALREADY BEEN DECREED!
ReplyDeleteDrat.
Not happy Bob. At least she's still with us, +or-.
All bronies will remember her as the original Derpy that (almost) all loved.
ReplyDeleteI know what I'm about to say may sound a bit radical, but I honestly hope that we don't see more dialogues from Derpy. I hope that Hasbro makes this the only change to Derpy, and let the rest of us remember her for her cannonized name and original voice (which, male as it may have been, was still better and was what we got used to).
Guess Hasbro and MLP finally Jumped The Shark because of this, could be downhill from here on out.
ReplyDeleteIf only this had been done before a new episode to appease everybody if only for the weekend, now we'll be hearing about this all week.
...WHAT?!
ReplyDeleteThis...is a goddamn outrage. The new voice doesn't sound BAD as such, but the very idea that they felt it needed to be changed, because it was 'offensive', sickens me.
But even that PALES to the fact that the changed her name. It...urgh. I actually want to throw up. Hasbro...words cannot express my disappointment.
@NightStarX
ReplyDeleteExactly. The scene had no need for being changed because it wasnt offensive in the slightest. Its just certain people who have to make it an issue.
That's it guys. Pack up your shipfics and roll out the Ditzy Doo carpet: trolls rule the fandom.
ReplyDeleteSo glad I bought the episode the moment it came out on Itunes.
ReplyDelete... kill it with fire
ReplyDeleteThis is seriously not okay. The voice change is fine, but I feel like our petition did absolutely nothing to change their minds on the meaning of the word 'Derp.' Clearly, they still decided it was offensive.
ReplyDeleteIt was a beautiful name, and a beautiful shoutout to us, and now it's been taken away. My rage is pretty well eternal right now.
Time to rev up my writing fingers. Contacting Hasbro.
I'm OK with the new voice...Just sad about not hearing her being called Derpy by Rainbow Dash...
ReplyDeletethis is more the voice i would have EXPECTEd..remember the voice artist didnt realise it was a female charcter.....
ReplyDeletehowever dashie not calling her by name does piss me off
Just ordered Friendship Express. If this is true and the DVD has the original, it's going to be priceless.
ReplyDeleteIf not, oh well, still worth getting the DVD.
I think I liked the original voice better.
ReplyDeleteI really hope we get our derpy back. =C
of all the possibilities this is the worst possible thing the voice change i dislike but i'll accept it but editing out the name is unnacceptable annd the episode feels soiled
ReplyDeletebtw is derpy uncannon now or is she still canon
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
ReplyDeleteI am going to personally find and murder the ASSHOLE who just HAD to be all anal and shit about one god damn SLIGHTLY suggested thing. Holy shit mother fucker die in a flaming DITCH.
Who did the new voice?
ReplyDeleteI was expecting Derpy's original voice but just higher, but this will do. I'm happy either way. Fingers crossed for when they sort all this ish out and call her Derpy again.
ReplyDeleteWhy do people ruin good things? Derpy could have been a fun side character...but guess not. Also, was the shout out really that big of a deal...did they really have to change it? Well glad I have the origional version on my DVR, and glad I pre-ordered the DVD...hope Hasbro doesn't put it on hiatus at the last minute so they can change it too. Seriously...so what if they said Derpy, so what if thats a fan name...I thought people would be happy to see fan names in the show. But I guess legal mumbo jumbo prevents Studio B & possibly Hasbro from having fun like that huh....said day...sad day indeed. Oh well, not a huge problem in the big scheme of things, but sad to know we probably won't get anymore shout outs because of this debacle.
ReplyDeleteWell, at least I have the original iTunes version...
ReplyDeleteI cant belive im saying this, but...
ReplyDeletei actually prefer the original voice in all of its "manly" glory.
and taking out the Derpy?
shame on you.
I love how Hasbro is basically saying...
ReplyDelete"Oh, yeah, those two overly sensitive trolls... we'll go back in and waste our time and money to censor an episode and completely destroy a beloved, fan-favorite character outright and infuriate million of others, but the majority opinion of those millions? Oh yeah, they don't matter. Not when TWO people can whine about nothing and see things that aren't there."
After that huge petition? Really Hasbro? I don't care for the new voice. What I hate is that fact that they took away what they've given us as a gift. I feel violated.
ReplyDeleteNow she seems more like a Ditzy blonde, so really now she's offensive to blondes, but apparently thats OK :/
ReplyDeleteof all the possibilities this is the worst possible thing the voice change i dislike but i'll accept it but editing out the name is unnacceptable annd the episode feels soiled
ReplyDeletebtw is derpy uncannon now or is she still canon
RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
ReplyDelete...why? just...why Hasbro?
ReplyDeleteSteve Jobs, even in death you still make my life miserable.
ReplyDeleteAAAAPPPPLEEE!
I almost passed on uploading it, since I knew the backlash was going to be immense and could possibly even put my Youtube account in jeopardy.
ReplyDeleteBut it had to be heard.
That, was a low blow Hasbro real low. Really, is their marketing division filled with headless idiots. Thay are the real 'Derpy's'. Come on, a fan base mad of thousands of people (whom might I add make a lot more money then your average five year old), tell you that they love something, then you go about and change it? I sincerely hope that a few of you read this and notice the error in your ways. I am deeply saddened that the MLP FiM brand is owned by a group filled with so many incompetent idiots.
ReplyDeleteSo, is her name now Retcon Hooves?
ReplyDeleteThe new voice is alright. I'm sure if that had been the original voice no one would have objected. I'm angry that they felt the need to change it though. Hasbro better be ready to defend their decision. It's no longer speculation, they've gone ahead and gotten rid of Derpy despite the general fandom's desires.
ReplyDelete*facepalm* Curse this world of ours and it’s desire to be so damn politically correct. I think Avenue Q got it right in their song “Every ones a little bit racist.” “[If] everyone stopped being so PC maybe we could live in harmony!”
ReplyDelete@arniejolt Calm Down We still got the rest of season 2 here.
ReplyDeleteFucking a.
ReplyDeleteFuck. King. A.
I really don't care for the new voice at all. I thought the old voice was cute, and paired with Tabitha's backstory as to where she got the inspiration for it, it made Derpy even more endearing as a character.
ReplyDelete...
ReplyDeleteI don't want to live on this planet anymore.
Well, now shes a Dumb Blonde Pony instead of Derpy.
ReplyDeleteMOTHER FREAKIN FLANKERS! I HATE HASBRO NOW! can they not do ANYTHING right anymore?!
ReplyDeleteWell, her voice isn't bad, but she sounds so... bland. But they edited the first part of the scene and it throws off the timing and stuff.
ReplyDeleteI am disappointed in Hasbro for caving to the idiots. And especially disappointed in the idiots for being idiots in the first place.
No. Just no.
ReplyDeleteGood thing i got the un edited version of this ep before it was edited lol
ReplyDeleteIt's like George lucas' Star Wars movie edits all over again.
ReplyDeleteGood times... :P
I'm okay with this for no other reason than I'm sick of all the drama surrounding her and I just want to be done with it.
ReplyDeleteI give up...
ReplyDeleteI am okay with this Orwellian Retcon. At least now she sounds like a girl and people won't be whining about how "Derpy" makes fun of the mentally handicapped (to be fair, the original voice did make it sound like she had down syndrome, and I've known at least three separate people IRL with that particular disorder). Still, Ditzy Doo will probably always be voiced by BaldDumboRat in my own head-canon.
ReplyDeleteThe voices sound really out of sync now. I don't mind the new voice but it could use some work. But they better keep her name or at least have it be ditzy.
ReplyDeleteAh geez... sigh...
ReplyDeleteAwful.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind the new voice too much, actually. However, I am rather annoyed (understatement) at the removal of the name. Although, since she hasn't been given a new name yet, she's still Derpy (and always will be). I feel like the voice change should be enough to satisfy the angry persons, but still, it's a bit rediculous that this was an issue in the first place, and I hope the DVDs are unchanged.
ReplyDelete@Flutterguy *Looks around at everyone else*
ReplyDeleteHe does know that thing has never worked right?
I have a feeling that this would have been a roadblock somehow in distributing season 2 in some locations, like perhaps Canada. Maybe that's why season 2 hasn't been picked up by Treehouse. If that is the case, I am sorry to see Derpy go, but hopefully it means more ponies for the rest of the world.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if this change is unique to itunes or if it's offically retconned for any Hub reruns? Either way I'm kind of sad. Also, I enjoyed Derpy's "male" voice.
Looks like they straightened her eyes, too....
ReplyDeleteNo. No. No. A thousand times no.
ReplyDeleteThis... this is pathetic. Chasing political correctness to pander to the minority. This is unbelievably disappointing. There is no backbone here, only cowardice. I expected better.
The lack of derp in her eyes is unsettling... The voice... At least more feminine. The lack of name is a kick to the balls.
ReplyDeleteDerpy died today. Hasbro killed our title shout out.
Fucking trolls...
Yep called it. Come on people you can never, ever trust Hasbro. They will screw you over. Always.
ReplyDeleteHer eyes are the same. As long as she has those beautiful misaligned golden eyes, she is still Derpy Hooves. Besides, they didn't call her "Ditzy Bubbles" or something. They didn't call her anything. Ergo, she can still be Derpy Hooves!
ReplyDeleteWhat? One of us has to be optimistic in these dark times.
This fills me with unbelievable rage.
ReplyDeletenow I didn't like Derpy's voice because it was too low pitched, but now I realize that Derpy's voice now (that it's higher pitched) is not goofy enough for the best pony. So the old voice was better.
ReplyDeleteps Derpy will always be Derpy in my eyes
this makes me so soad.
ReplyDeleteIrregardless of which voice is better, this was totally unnecessary. Have we really become such a coddled, politically correct society that THIS kind of stuff happens? There aren't enough faces for me to hoof (palm) to express my exasperation...
ReplyDeleteWait a second...
ReplyDeleteHang on....
Somethings not right...
Just a minute...
Hold up...
Rainbow Dash sounds suspiciously different. Why would they rerecord Rainbow's lines anyway?
Don't forget, there's a good chance this edit is now the version that will air on The Hub in reruns. Lame.
ReplyDelete@K-R I completely agree with this. I really hope she never speaks again. We can go back to playing Spot The Derpy, and remember that -one- time. <_>
Oh well, not a huge problem in the big scheme of things, but sad to know we probably won't get anymore shout outs because of this debacle.
ReplyDeleteWrong! It's wrong!
ReplyDeleteI fucking hate political correctness. Bunch of nigger faggot retarded cunts.
ReplyDeleteYamino wins
ReplyDeleteNooooo Whyyyyy!? I liked her old voice better. Sure, the new one sounds more "girly", but it lacks the "goofy" quality in her voice. And wtf was with Rainbow's voice at the beginning? It sounds so off.
ReplyDeleteInb4 massive emails telling hasbro derpy is not offensive enough.
ReplyDeleteseriosuly though what I think happened was that this change was made before they decided that "derpy" was okay and they re-listed her in welovefine.
ReplyDeletealso, really? you hate hasbro for playing it safe? I would understand if they just cut her out of the show altogether but they didn't. I think people need to realize that they aren't entitled to anything with this show and they should be thankful regardless
@foxx278
ReplyDeleteWait, did the original have Derpy cross-eyed?
Is it just me, or did this make the situation worse by now promoting dumb blondes?
ReplyDeleteHasbro, what kind of shitstorm have you gotten yourself into...
I actually like her new voice, but the fact she is no longer named... Oh well. Atleast we know Studio B made it happen, even if it only lasted a short time.
ReplyDeleteThis type of post-release censorship is extremely disappointing, but I can take solace in the fact that the unedited version exists and can still be referenced by fans.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting. I'm OK with this.
ReplyDeleteEven putting Derpy aside (definitely less cute now on a couple lines, about the same on others), what really bugs me is that Dash's edited lines have a completely inappropriate tone for the scene. She's supposed to be frustrated and at the edge of her temper, but her first few lines are now said with a genuinely concerned tone.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, stupid people. You won and ruined something amazing. :\
ReplyDeleteThat is just AWFUL.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe Hasbro took those complain letters, which were obviously written by anti-brony trolls, seriously.
I thought we were done with this Save Derpy campaign, but apparently we have to bring it back. :(
I personally feel cheated.
ReplyDeleteThis is what happens when 1% fucks it up for the other 99%.
I'm actually hurt right now. Just stunned.
To the 1%: I hope you are happy. I hope you got what you wanted. I hope it was worth tearing a giant hole in the fandom because you were "insulted" by what, a show meant for children?
Bravo. You win. Now fuck off.
I agree with most of the people here. The new voice does not sound like Derpy. I remember the thrill of seeing RD say her name and then Derpy sounding exactly like we imagined her, and this doesn't have that. I am just glad I got a copy of the episode before they took it down.
ReplyDeleteHasbro im dissapoint
ReplyDeleteWell ive got the 1080p original version on my comp already so this does not affect me at all
ReplyDeleteI hope that those people who raved over her voice and her name are happy. They have helped to ruin a very sweet and lovely character. Her voice before held the grace of a thousand angels singing at their peak, but now listen to it. You cannot hear those angels in her voice anymore. But what can be done I guess...
ReplyDeleteI think if it had been this way from the beginning there would not have been nearly as much controversy. Frankly I like this voice a little more, it is sweet and a little less... down syndrome sounding. >.> Also still prefer Ditzy Doo over Derpy.
ReplyDeleteI WAS looking forward to seeing Derpy in future episodes. But now that the voice has been changed to THIS, and the fact that she's no longer the Derpy I know and love, I don't know if I'll be able to watch the episodes with her in them anymore
ReplyDelete@PK
ReplyDeleteWho said we wanted this?
Okay, if this is real, we need to boycott the show untill they acknowledge this as a mistake.
ReplyDeleteI'm not talking about the voice, but the removal of a backgrounders name! The muffin queens no less!
Sounds a little more like her voice from when she said muffins.
It's going to take a while for me to forgive them for this.
ReplyDeletemeh, hasbro's getting lame now
ReplyDeleteJust when I thought we had gotten past this...
ReplyDeleteI'm ok with both voices, but wish I had the old version... oh well. I am annoyed that they took out her name.
Not that I want to feed the rumor mill, but do we know if it was Hasbro or iTunes that made the edits?
Another reason to hate Apple I guess. I hope people refuse to buy that episode (though I honestly boycott Apple in general) to show disagreement.
ReplyDeleteI don't get it though, since Hasbro told us it was fine, why is it different for Apple?
They un-derped her eyes too!? What the heck?
ReplyDelete;-;
