That's right Rainbow Dash! That thing was a mockery to ALL THINGS INDIANA JONES.    Another awesome comic from Pixelkitties as always.

There are some new episode spoilers in there too, so avoid it if you haven't seen it!

    1. I literally just took a look at this one. Poor Twi. Being at the receiving end of Rainbow's outrage. Considering how enthusiastically she started the series, you can't really blame her for being a "tad" disappointed in the ending. This comic definitely didn't disappoint.

    2. Today is a great day for ponies. Best comic I've seen in awhile. I REALLY like your style of Derpy. And I didn't even see the latest Indiana Jones and this was still a hoot.

    3. Damn it George Lucas! Y U RUIN RAINBOW'S LIFE LESSON?

    4. A heart-shaped picture frame with Trixie in it!? Best comic!

    5. :( i don't have an account so can't see it

    6. A couple non-sequiturs I noticed:

      1. Journal of Bio-Chemical Mechanisms of Evolutionary Origins? That sounds like an awfully expensive subscription for such a small library. Maybe our favorite mail-mare is actually a world-famous biologist?

      2. I liked Kingdom of the Crystal Skull! Sure, it was silly, but if I wanted "artsy", I'd have watched an Ingmar Bergman flick.

Having said that, I loved the comic.

Oh, also, OUCH! That's quite the shiner, Twilight.

      secret shipping, eh.

am i the only one who doesn't see Twixie as anything more than a near crack pairing? they barely spoke. <_<

She also has a statue of Cthulu over her reading pedestal so try and figure that out.

    9. I'm really loving the (new?) portrayal of Derpy as a brilliant, but clumsy and socially awkward pony. If I ever finish my current fanfic, I think I'm going to have to write one about a mad scientist Derpy.

      "Dear Princess Celestia,

Today I learned that is not dead which can eternal lie, and with strange aeons even death may die.

      Your Faithful Student,

The closest Octavia and Scratch ever got to each other was a dozen episodes. People seem perfectly fine with that one.

Okay, I have to be honest here.

I liked Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls.

Was it the best Indy film? No. Was it a bad movie? No. Taken for what it is, it's pretty decent.

And can we please stop talking about the fridge? Just in case you've forgotten, this is a series where:

      * Ancient societies built their temples so that if you so much as brush against the sacred idol, the entire temple is destroyed forever.
      * Nazis get their faces melted off by the wrath of God.
      * You can survive a fall from a plane with an inflatable raft AND STILL be able to use it to sled down a mountain.
      * Invisible bridges literally running on faith lead to a room filled with grails that will age you into dust if you drink from them.

So yeah, it's kind of late to call out the fourth movie on its incredibly ludicrous plot elements.

And aliens are bad? What, we can have religious artifacts of untold power, but aliens are a no-go? That's kind of stretching the line thin.

Yes, the fourth Indy movie was flawed, but it was still a decent flick. I just get tired of everyone throwing out the same hypocrisy about the series. It was ALWAYS stupid as heck. The movies are just pure popcorn fun, nothing more.

      *Rant over*

The comic itself is funny, even if I could see it coming from the moment the preview clip aired yesterday.

    13. I don't hate Shia Labeouf, I just really really really really really really really dislike him. And his movies.

      VastaKustuta
    14. BRILLIANT. I lol'd.

      VastaKustuta
    15. Ah, I see. Breaking down the "Derpy is mentally retarded" wall that's been focused around her lately by having her own a more technical and complicated book. ;) Well, at least that's what I thought when I saw it. lol See? Derpy is very intelligent. And honestly, I'm not a huge Indiana Jones person. So eh, I guess this isn't as funny to me as it is to most. I personally found the little heart-shaped picture of Trixie in the background my favorite part of this comic. <3

Nnnope, i think so too. You´re not alone wackypony.^^
I always find those same race couples a bit boring to be honest. Twilight SparklexRarity - yawn, Rainbow DashxFluttershy - yawn, Pinkie pieXApplejack - yawn. Now mix them like a salad and you´ll get a OOoooooOOOooohhh~. XD

And outta those i find the TwiDash mix to be the most interesting one. At least more interesting than fandom Trixie x Twilight Sparkle. For me that´s almost like Gilda x Rainbow Dash. *shudder*

    17. Crystal Skull Was not as bad as the Haters remember these films are based on the old fashioned style were the Film characters could survive the impossible and thus the Fridge scene makes sense.

      VastaKustuta
    18. It does my heart good to see other people admitting to liking "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull", but I can still laugh at this comic too. :) Also, Derpy is great.

And Wackypony: I find Twixie completely ridiculous as well; not quite as ridiculous as Discorkle, but it's up there.

      VastaKustuta
    19. IDGAF what anyone says. I loved the 4th movie as much as the others.

Even then, this comic was great. Especially the refrigerator afterthought XD

      VastaKustuta
    20. What's with all the hate for the fourth Indiana Jones film? It's not like things like the fridge is any more imposable than the stuff in the other films (the heart scene for example). Personally I liked the fourth film, while it isn't my favourite out of the four films I still liked it.

      VastaKustuta
    21. Loved the movie, but I may not get to see this comic. Keeps asking me to log in, and I'm not going to make an account on Deviant JUST to comment/view.

      VastaKustuta
    22. Yep Rainbow, you, me and a lot of Indiana Jones fans couldn't swallow that crap either.

Also, if you're focusing on the refrigerator you are missing the point why a lot of people hated it.

      VastaKustuta
    23. That new banner! That's good guys, that's good. And she's got Tom following her too a-la Raiders.

      VastaKustuta
    24. Am I the only one that liked the last Indiana Jones movie? It seems everyone else absolutely hates it.

      VastaKustuta
    25. @pg13fresno

I agree about the largely nonsensical plot points. In the Last Crusade, there was a knight who was over 600 years old. Did that make sense? Within the context of the film, kind of. It made about as much sense as aliens in South America or a refrigerator saving you from a nuclear blast. Indiana Jones movies have always had ludicrous plot points and ridiculous action sequences, that's part of the fun. However, I did not like Shia Labeouf in Crystal Skull. His character just grated on me.

I like the interpretation of Derpy in the comic. It also seems that Twilight drinks Gummy Classy Cola, and has an interest in the works of H.P. Lovecraft.

      VastaKustuta
    26. The Indiana Jones movies are all the same. Unrealistic action-adventure sums up the entire series. So the backlash at Crystal Skull (while humorous to me) is quite baffling given the series was ALWAYS ridiculous. Methinks its reception is due to nostalgia clouding judgement more then anything.

      Anyway, hilarious comic!

      VastaKustuta
    27. Ha! That was just awesome.

      VastaKustuta
    28. I don't get it because I've never seen an Indiana Jones movie.

      VastaKustuta
    29. Is there another way to see this comic? The link leads to some message box or something.

    33. Say what you will, but I loved Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. I never understood the hate. How are aliens any more ridiculous than ancient religious artifacts that melt Nazi faces off? The series was always unrealistic. It was just so awesome that no one cared.

      VastaKustuta
    34. @pg13fresno
IIRC the bridge wasn't really invisible, it was just camouflaged.

      VastaKustuta
    35. @Fluffy

A combination of unrealistic nolstalgia and unquestioning acceptance of miracles of a religious nature. Even most moderates just accept certain things written in the scriptures that are no more crazy than the idea of aliens. In fact, considering how big the universe is, it would be crazy to think there is no intelligent life out there. Thinking that an ark filled with stone tablets was sent to us from on high from an omnipotent deity in the sky is far more irrational, but society doesn't see it that way. Which is why Crystal Skull was jarring compared to the religious themes of Temple of Doom, Lost Ark and Last Crusader.
