This is actually a strange thing. When I was a kid my parents saw a particularly bad episode of Courage and wouldn't let me watch it, so I've only seen a few episodes. Time to catch up I guess!

ReplyDeleteI tried looking it up on Google, and there wasn't much of anything. According to Wikipedia, it was indeed brought back on Sept 26, 2011, but it was only reruns, and was pulled off air in November.

Just did a quick Google search. Bad news? It's a hoax. CN does not have an official announcement for the return of Courage the Cowardly Dog.

Well I did some dirty searching and found a few things out:
ReplyDelete1. The video is, of course, not a real trailer.
2. The show is coming back....to boomerang....for re-runs....in May.
3. Anypony who legitimately believed that Seth believed this and was posting it because he was excited is obviously a newcomer to EQD.
Video released 22 September 2011, and has 7000 views, many of which are probably from this post.

ReplyDeleteI was definitely suspicious when I saw it was comprised entirely of old clips, and seeing the utter absence of any news from Cartoon Network regarding the show seems to confirm that it is a hoax.

Like several others, I did a quick-n-dirty Google search, and came to two conclusions: 1. There is no evidence that this trailer is genuine, and no evidence that there will be new episodes broadcast in 2012 or any other year. 2. Bronies aren't the only gullible people.

ReplyDeleteOh everyone stop complaining that this is "random and unrelated." I think a large portion of the brony community grew up with good cartoons from the 90's, and probably loved this show. It was one of my all time favorites, and and that still stands today. Calm down because it may not be relevant to you, but many of us would love to know about this.

If this is real, I hope they DON'T do another episode like that "Return the slab" one (that happens to have a clip in the related videos). That episode gave me nightmares for months after I saw it. Hell, even seeing that a video clip from that episode is in the related videos is making me freak out a little. Also, why was this posted on here?

ReplyDeleteIf this were legit and you were to google "courage the cowardly dog new season" you would find several website talking about this and confirming that it's true.If you do a google search of this no evidence of a new season of Courage is found.
The closet thing you will find about this is looking at the show's Wikipedia page which says it's airing on Boomerang May 2012.It's most likely talking about reruns.It doesn't say there will be a new season and if there was going to be a new season then I think it's Wikipedia page would have said that specifically.

It's ok to be excited but please think about this for a second.
1.There is no talk about a new season anywhere else on the internet.
2.Usually clips from an old season wouldn't be used to advertise a new season.It would use a clip from the new season.
3.Wikipedia says NOTHING about a new season(which it would if this were true).All it says is that it's airing on Boomerang.
Now all Cartoon Network has to do to become perfect once again is to bring back Toonami

I never watched Courage a whole lot back when it was on before, but I do remember it being a pretty funny show with clever scenario writing. CN would be doing themselves a favor if they took this joke trailer's advice and actually brought the show back.

Highly doubt it's legitimate. The uploader's channel description states:
ReplyDelete"Ramgking Studios is a Media Production company including filming, editing, graphic design, photography, etc...."
so it's most likely this was made by the uploader, not leaked from anywhere. Not only that, but look at the CN logo at 0:37; it isn't even the current logo, let alone the logo used throughout 2011.
Cartoon Network fucked up years ago, and they don't care to go back.
