Awesome may be an understatement. This was truly an incredible video. The song, the custom effects. Everything! Even if Derpy pulled the plug at the end. LOL
Don't have anything else good to say about it though.
If all you want is cutout ponies put through a bunch of filters and set to music (skillfully done, mind), this is for you. I prefer more than light shows, though.
I won't say it's the best PMV I've ever seen. But it was really good and fun to both watch and listen to. Very catchy and the video flowed and matched well to the music.
Ehhh... Not as awesome as you played it out to be Seth. Yeah, it had custom effects and a good song, but that's about it. Wasn't even custom effects throughout the whole thing.
Overall an excellent video, but am I the only one bothered by the fact that PMV editors can never seem to get Scratch's headbangs to sync properly to the beat? Did everyone forget about that awesome flash app from the beginning of September?
Of course, I have zero experience with flash, and only a very small, very rudimentary amount of video editing experience, but it really doesn't seem like it should be that hard.
Sorry about the mini-rant; just something that's been bugging me.
Great PMV! Decided to check out the song and other music from the band 'Caravan Palace'. Discovered a whole new genre called 'electro swing', which is awesome. Ponies once again increasing my playlist one way or another.
At this point, I don't know if the person who made this will even be checking the comments, but I wanted to say that this video inspired me to check out Caravan Palace, and I've been listening to them all day now. I bought the album off Amazon and I'm seriously considering taking up East Coast Swing lessons again. So...thanks!
My husband posted a link to this on my FB page this morning - not only is Caravan Palace one of my favorite musical groups evar, but... PONIES. In my CARAVAN PALACE. AND DONE WELL. I think this made my week already. XD
I will love this fandom forever if for no other reason than it has introduced me to so much amazing new music. Florence + the Machine, Scissor Sisters, and now Caravan Palace. The PMV is fantastic in its own right, but that track is just freakin' amazing.
Feeling Pinkie Keen I believe (for that particular on fire moment).
Also, kudos Caravan for taking it all in stride! I'm sure their sales and views went up quite noticeably, but on the flip side we aren't always a low-impact fan base...

ReplyDeleteSo now I not only have to make a PMV better than simple PMVs, but also better than normal PMVs?
This will not be easy.
