I for one welcome Scratch as official music video pony. This is animation of Scratch singing "Where them Girls at". Apparently it took him a whopping 120 hours to make!
Check the Youtube version out after the break, or click the above image for the Flash one.

Dang, 120 hours.....
ReplyDeleteLove animation
ReplyDeleteThis is epic.
ReplyDeletedid this 120 hours also include learning how to animate?
ReplyDeletejust curious.
That voice...works WAY too well for Scratch!
ReplyDeleteJust awesome.
FUUU! That time when when your housekeeper's 4year old girl goes into your room and plays with your ponies and knocks them all over
ReplyDeleteShe really needs to be in another episode.
ReplyDeleteOh nice, another Tsubikichan flash.
ReplyDelete120 hours? Wow. Seems a bit high, but the animation seems to have turned out really well. Love it.
ReplyDeleteI'm not really sure how I feel about this one...well, I guess it's alright. The syncing is alright, but as stated the animation is a little rudimentary. Costume design was pretty cool, but the music...well, I'm open to all types, but this isn't really my favorite.
ReplyDeleteLoved the flash
ReplyDeleteEFFIN A DUDE THIS IS AWESOME
ReplyDeleteThe 120 hours of quality show.
not really a fan of the song but the animation is fantastic,
ReplyDelete~way to go
Despise the fact of that taking a while, either way it came out great! :D
ReplyDeleteExcellent.
ReplyDeleteMy only issue is when Scratch and Big Mac are standing back to back. Big Mac is wearing a hoodie, but Scratch is naked. I know they're usually naked, but it seems out place here because she's wearing clothes for most of the animation.
Of course DJ Pon-3 sounds like Nicki Minaj! Now Studio B just needs to make it cannon by getting her to voice the DJ in an upcoming episode :D
ReplyDeleteI thought the animation was great. It was a really nice video, and this coming from someone who does not like that song. Good job!
ReplyDeleteAnimation takes a long time, don't ever think otherwise. Great clip!
ReplyDeleteVinyl with a British accent? I can get behind that
ReplyDeleteThis was awesome. The synching was a teeny tiny bit off, and I personally do not like Nicki Minaj nor this song at all, but it was a solid video. Likeale, possible favorited, not downloaded though
ReplyDeleteA good 7/10
"Legit DJing License"
ReplyDeleteSeems legit
Well, I can't say I enjoyed it...
ReplyDeleteI realize that this is off-topic, but one of the advertisements on this site is apparently for swords.
ReplyDeletePonies -> Swords.
Go figure. Anyway, the animation! Yeah, that was pretty cool. Spike going "AaAaAaAah" in the back was kind of odd, though.
Vinyl in that outfit is becoming headcanon.
ReplyDelete@Tamari
ReplyDeleteYou think the voice of someone who sounds like an Essex girl fits Scratch? Do you not realise what you have just said?
Essex girls are probably the lowest of the low in Britain when it comes to everything from dating options, to overall intelligence, to chances of finding a decent friend. Scratch deserves way better than that.
PLEASE reconsider your statement.
awesome! and 120 hours? daayyyyuuumm....
ReplyDeleteNicki Minaj
ReplyDeleteShitty singer for a shitty character.
I enjoyed this animation. However in preparation for Hasbro's next extinction level event "fat man" bomb attack (after the "little boy" bomb they just dropped on Derpy) I am now referring to Vinyl Scratch as Nondescript Equine #3 in order to avoid offending anyone. You go, Nondescript Equine #3! Love ya! No, not love, I mean, errr....I have no emotional investment in this #3 entity but I do not find it's existence irreconcilable with my own well-being, therefore I do not seek it's erasure from my consciousness. That is all. Hasbot #2398 signing off.
ReplyDeleteVinyl Scratch made me like rap and hip hop. Can't wait to get her figurine.
ReplyDelete@Penguin_616
ReplyDeleteI personally don't really like Nicky Minaj as Vinyl's voice.
And I heard a few months ago that Hasbro was going to get "Weird" Al Yankovic to voice a character. I thought that character was going to be Cranky Doodle Donkey, but that's obviously false.
@Piper
ReplyDeleteLet me help you.
I liked it; it's not super amazing, but it was enjoyable to watch once or twice.
ReplyDeleteHmm...just the other day I was thinking of learning to animate in Flash so I could do something like this, before realizing that I'd get bored and quit in the middle of it. Oh well.
@YetAnotherBrony
ReplyDeleteThat would certainly be interesting if true.
I seem to remember Weird Al playing himself on an episode of Johnny Bravo, and an alien on the Brak Show, so voice acting isn't unfamiliar territory for him.
He may play a musician at the wedding for Cadence and Shining Armor or something like that.
Of course, this is just speculation.
@MyBoyJ
ReplyDeleteHe has also done Wreck-Gar for Transformers Animated, so he's definitely in Hasbro's blackbook.
Video, on one hand, Ponies. On the other, Obnoxious Party Songs. Not sure if want.
@YetAnotherBrony
ReplyDeleteThis actually reminds me.
In Read it and Weep, the way that Daring Do grabbed the treasure by acting very intense, before shrugging and just nabbing it was taken straight from a movie of Weird Al's where he did the exact same thing.
IIRC at least. Either way, he so needs to do a voice for the show.
The image of DJ-Pon3 singing this song instead of Niki Minaj is both welcomed and here to stay
ReplyDeleteVinyl Scratch and Nicki minaj DO NOT Mix.
ReplyDeleteGod Forbid anybody try to do a PMV of Vinyl singing "Stupid Hoe"
ReplyDeleteNormally I can't stand Nicki Minaj's voice but wow, this actually is a good fit for Vinyl. o.o
ReplyDeleteI really, really don't like that song. It's a decent animation, though, and that outfit looks rather good on Scratch.
ReplyDeleteNever heard the song or the singer before but shortly into it I just muted it so I could enjoy the animation. Great work on that.
ReplyDeleteI don't get it, but YAY FANIMATION
ReplyDeleteYAY VINYL!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDelete@FreezingShock
ReplyDeleteIt really does. doesn't it?
@Jimperator
ReplyDeleteYeah, the opening scene to UHF. Skip to 3:50.
Very cool animation, though the music... Pathetic.
ReplyDeleteDo I see... 'pink' eyes ? Not red ?
ReplyDeleteGood but not great for photosensitive people.
ReplyDeleteThere should be a warning of strobe flashing.
But I really do appreciate all the time put into this.
It's a very good animation... I'm just putting that out there...
